DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased (4) brand new tires TWICE within 11 months of purchasing (4) BRAND NEW TIRES. After their tires failed first time they never helped, stated the manufacturer the first (4) tires came from don’t make my size tires any longer, so had to purchase all (4) brand new tires all over again, this time making SURE they are warrantied, and now 12 months later there are huge golf ball size knots on (2) of the tires and Monroe is not replacing them under warranty placing a blame of some sort. Every single time their tires are failing and Monroe makes one excuse after another. BEWARE!! I am seeing to it that EVERYONE STEERS CLEAR!!Monro, Inc.

This is a ripoff company that should not be allowed to stay in business. My wife and I took our ******** ** ** there last August for brake service, and our mileage then was 91,563. After then waiting for them to replace our rear drums and rotars, they charged us $549, and we left thinking everything had been taken care of as promised . Based on what later happened, I think it's worth noting we had Florida license plates on our car when we drove in there, because we only stay in Beech Mountain nearby 4 months there in the summer. Since I am retired, I only drive the car mostly near where we live in Fort Lauderdale. That said, before getting ready to drive back to Beech Mountain next week, I had our car checked out locally at Coconut Creek ******** with 95,102 (only +/- 3,500 more miles driven) miles and was told we need all new rear brakes. Not believing this could be possibly true only +/- 3,500 miles after getting a new brake job at Mr. Tire, I took the car to *********** **** Service in Fort Lauderdale and were told by their owner's head mechanic that our rear brakes had never been replaced as represented by Mr. Tire. Last week, I finally took the car to Tire Service in Tamarac, a Monroe owned affiliate Mr. Tire company, and after jacking the car up, the manager there told me the same story that these same parts had never been replaced as represented by Mr. Tire, and I need a whole new rear brake job asap. During all this time thinking our brakes had been repaired and replaced by Mr. Tire, my wife and I were driving around very steep nearby mountain roads and could have easily lost our life then and/or also when driving over 800 miles back to Florida. Based on all the above, we of course will never go back to Mr. Tire in Boone for any type of auto service whatsoever, and we recommend you do the same.Monro, Inc.

Regarding Tire Choice Auto, 8465A Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, SC 29420...
My 76yo mom had a flat tire. When I checked it, I found a nail between the tread. She went to this store because they replaced her right front tire about a year ago. It is not the same as the other 3 tires...
The woman at the store told my mom that the sidewall of her tire was slit and that she'd need to get 2 new tires so that both rear tires woud match. They had no problems replacing just 1 front tire a year ago, but for whatever reason she insisted that my mom would need 2 this time. They did not have the right size tires in stock so they sent my mom home to wait for a call.
Upon hearing this nonsense, I inspected the tire again and sprayed it with leak detector. The is no slit on the sidewall and the only leak is where the nail is.
When the woman from the store called my mom, my mom told her that I inspected the tire and that there is no slit or leak in the sidewall, that there is a nail in the tire. The woman then changed her story and said that the nail is less than an inch from the edge, therefore they could not repair it. I can't upload a pic here, but did include a pic of a ruler on the tire showing the nal is 2 inches from the edge of the tread in my Google review.
This place is a complete scam and tried to take advantage of an elderly woman! I posted this review on ******, ********, and ******** in an attempt to warn others!
My mom took her car to ***** tire, who promptly patched the tire and put it back on the car!Monro, Inc.

The car was taken to another business who had the tire patched and back on the car in 30 minutes. $30 patch vs almost $300 for 2 new tires! This review was left on multiple websites to warn others. I suggest you focus your efforts on training your employees/managers to not rip people off... If you sincerely care about your reputation.
The person who inspected the tire was a young male, and the female inside was who told my mom that she would need 2 new tires.
My mom had used this business in the past, having the right front tire replaced when it probably could have been patched. I was unaware of that until this issue came to light or I would have looked into it further. I can plug tires myself, but a patch is generally a better option.
I assure you, none of my dozens of family members will ever go to this business and will be weary to visit any of your businesses. We share our experiences with each other in an effort to look out for each other.
The issue experienced is a common problem I've seen for over 50 years, and practiced by many car repair businesses. Just between my family, there are 18 different businesses related to car repairs who tried to rip off (mostly) female and young family members. Most of the older males in my family are knowledgeable about car repairs and 3 of us are/were mechanics who are generally consulted before having any work done.
I'm happy knowing I was able to prevent my mom from being ripped off... Had the tires been in stock, she probably would have fallen victim to this scam and then it would be an entirely different situation where I'd be seeking restitution. No money was lost, so I have no reason to waste any more time with this.Review fromKenny M

Southbridge, Ma location.
My daughter brought her car for a simple weld on the exhaust pipe. They put the car on the lift and inspected the job that needed to be done. They brought her into the garage to tell her that the whole exhaust system was wrong on the car. They attempted to sell a whole new exhaust to her. Then the manager was explaining to her why it’s wrong and at the same time the 2 mechanics that were there were laughing at my daughter and making her feel very uncomfortable.
The manager then quoted her a $500 fee to simply weld the exhaust pipe that was a 2 3/4” pipe.
My daughter refused the service because of the way they treated her in making her leave that place embarrassed and crying.
Goes to show how they try to manipulate female customers. I have been going to this Monro for years and now I will take my 4 vehicles to another shop. The customer service that is there now is very unprofessional and rude.Monro, Inc.

I came here for a simple oil change and they ended up putting twice the amount of oil that was supposed to be in there causing my to stall out shut off and smoke from the exhaust. My dad who is a mechanic had to come and drain 3 quarts out of the car and it was still overfilled. I called them asking for a refund they told me that I had to get a full inspection on my car before I even got the refund. I didn’t think there was a point to all of that because it was fixed and running smoothly.Monro, Inc.

Took my car here to get alignment checked as car was drifting to the left. Was told I needed to replace a strut and get an alignment done and car would be fixed. Paid the money to have this done and after leaving the car was still drifting to the left.
Took the car back and was told there was an additional $1800 worth of work needed to be done to actually fix the car. The reason this wasn't disclosed during the first visit was because "they only had 1 tech at the time."
If I had been made aware of the full extent of the damage from the initial inspection I wouldn't have paid to fix anything on the car because it would be considered "Totaled."
I tried to rectify the situation through their corporate office Monro and they offered no support and had a terrible interaction with the manager mackenzie.
Make sure you get a 2nd opinion before doing any major work as they don't thoroughly inspect the vehicle and don't even confirm that the work they did actually fixed the car.Monro, Inc.

Came here in March had all 4 tires replaced with brand new ones and an oil change. Everything went great at that moment. (SO I THOUGHT) Other than the price online not being the same in store on the tires. Was estimated about 600 ended up spending 9. Which was fine I was going to work with. Took my car home realized it is leaking oil everywhere. I called David the manager whom I delt with the first time. He said no worries bring the car back. I did that. He told me it was not leaking and sent me on my way in 5 minutes. He LIED and took advantage of my ignorance with vehicles. Do not go here unless you want to spend way more money and have to take it to a different mechanic to fix the 1 WASHER HE COULDNT PUT BACK ON.Monro, Inc.

I brought my car into monroe in Dewitt NY for a yearly inspection and an oil change. The manager came out and tells me " your rotors have rust grooves on them and the edges look a little ruffled so within a short period of time you might start hearing some noise so you may want to think about scheduling replacing them" This is word for word what he told me the year prior. At that time my car had 38000 now it has 43000. I would take it under advisement. The next thing he comes to me and tells me that a rodent has been chewing on my engine filter. So he takes me in to show me. A filter that is pure white no signs of discoloring, leaves r bugs that has some material picked out of some of the grooves. There is no nest no holes in the holder no droppings. My engine is clean as a whistle. Knowing he WAS LYING I paid for the filter so I could get out of there.Monro, Inc.
