The whole team works together to overcharge people. This was my real life experience of how I was almost beaten out of $2600.
My car had been making a noise for about a week so I called my regular mechanic who said he could see me in maybe a week or so. On my way to an appointment in Aurora, Ohio, my car started making a wobbling sound on 422 east so I immediately exited and went to the first place I saw (Mr. Tire in Solon, Ohio). They took my car back after 30 minutes then asked me to come take a look. They showed me where my axle was sooo bad that I couldn’t drive it and that the whole front end may fall off if I don’t get it repaired right away! The technicians went to work to finding prices because I had an Audi q5 that was going to be soooo expensive to fix. After some conversation amongst themselves and loud talk on the phone with parts they quoted me $3,290.23 and that included a 10% discount on a wheel alignment that was needed. I panicked! That was a heck of a lot of money, so I began searching ****** for reviews (I always do) and about the third comment down for this company (Mr. Tire in Solon, Ohio) said he went there and was told his car was a ball of rust and his bill was going to be $7,000! He took it to ***** on station street and his bill came out to under $300. I decided right then to get a second opinion at *****.
I called ***** first and they suggested I bring it in as soon as possible. Thank God I had *** because this place was trying to get me to use someone they recommend for a “small fee”. I got my car towed and the manager, ***** *****, took my car back right away. Within minutes I was quoted a price of $645.40 and my car should be ready the next day by noon. It was actually finished around 10a.m. for the exact price I was quoted. I can’t tell you the relief and gratitude I felt for *****, their manager, and staff at that moment and this one! They were all professional, pleasant, and fair.Monro, Inc.

1 starI had a 2:00 appointment to get a tire put on. They did not take my car back until 3:30 which is when I physically went up to one of the workers and asked. They knew good and well that I was waiting there for my car. Meanwhile, several other patrons that came in after me, all left before me. I was early for my appointment and was not given any updates by the workers on the status/updates of my car. Needless to say, I paid full price for the one tire and given the response of “well we just had a bunch of cars come in” after I asked why I even had an appointment time. The workers seemed to not even care as they were sitting around and talking. They should have been communicating with me about my car. I left the business at 4:30, 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time. I have never received this bad of service. I will never go back to Ken Towery’s! **** poor service, hands down. I do not know who is running this store but they are failing miserably. I had to leave a one star review, as it would not allow me to give 0 stars.Review fromSamantha M

The 5300 NJ-42, Turnersville, NJ location.
Corporate needs to investigate this location ASAP ! For over a year I kept saying I would never go back. Due to always having to bring my car right back because of their consistent “screw ups”. Today was the final straw for me. I had an appointment at 8am on 1/17/24. The manager Ian (who is the absolute worst I must say) would not honor my coupon. Which okay whatever. When he quoted me $60 for very cheap wipers I told him I was not interested in them anymore because I was not paying that price for that quality.
As I was waiting he must have over heard my phone conversation with my mother about them not honoring my coupon and the extreme up charge for wipers. This man (Ian) had the audacity to shut the heat completely off inside!!!!!! Mind you today was 16 degrees at 8am. I walked over to take a picture of the thermostat. Which read 64 degrees inside !!!! He seen me take the picture and came in and asked what’s wrong. I told him he needs to turn the heat on to atleast 68 degrees or I will be calling OSHA and the Better Business Bureau. It gets better….. as I’m driving into work tonight I’m on 55 S and I hear a scraping sound coming from under my car. My skid plate is completely loose dragging on the ground. Now this happened before after I left them with an oil change in the past and they zip tied it back up for me. I had my stepdad check it out and try to reattach it . Well these so called professionals cut all my zip ties that had this in place!!!!!!! I assume to do the oil change but didn’t have the decency to put more to secure it back in place after they were finished.
This is just one of my many problems I’ve encountered going to this establishment. This place needs to be shut down or employ new competent staff. Not ones who cut corners and could give two shits about a customers safety.
After much consideration and reading a hefty amount of bad reviews at this location. I will be escalating this matter furtherMonro, Inc.

Don't ever use this location on 3523 Bell Shoals Rd in Valrico! They changed two perfectly good tires on my car that only had 15,000 miles on them because it is a fleet vehicle plus they had a warranty till 55k. I complained to fleet company not to authorize the replacements as they were pulling a scam. Also they said the lug nut burst which is laughable its a metal lug, nothing was wrong with it. I am going to make sure my company never uses Monroe again as I have already spent over 5k servicing my car there. Never EVER again!!
I intent on calling corporate to insure my company is not charged for two of the tires or the lug nuts as I have pictures and documentation that they were perfectly fine. The star rating is zero but I had to select 1.Monro, Inc.

I bought tires on ****** to be sent to this shop. When I brought in my truck it was for a tire change, so they had to take off my old tires and put on the new ones. When I got my old ones back, one of the tires was damaged and the tire bead was exposed so that tire is useless as of now. Called the shop and the manager had no interest in giving me any sort of refund or reimbursement and was very rude.Monro, Inc.

The shop double charge me for tire installation services. The order was submitted via the tire retailer and included the installation fee. Monro charged my credit card again in the day of the installation. It was even a higher amount than agreed in the order! I have called the shop back after 30 minutes when I realized the double charge on the **** website and requested a refund. They told me that "corporate" is not opened on Saturdays and I should call back on Monday. Monday, they told me that the manager of the shop is out, and I need to call on Tuesday. On Wednesday they told me that the manager is out sick, and I need to call tomorrow...This time the answer came after they put me in hold for some time.
I'm not sure what customer service training this company provides but the average depicted on the BBB website is clearly true. Apparently, they will not stop these fraudulent practices if somebody will not sue them. Better avoid them or be aware of the reviews on BBB site. They reflect an appalling state for customer service.Monro, Inc.

Here's the situation. Back in October I went for an oil change. I was told I needed new rear brake pads and rotars. I was quoted a price of $250. Unbeknownst to them I had recently gotten my yearly inspection from my car dealership. I went back to dealership and asked them about this and they told me the rear brake pads are a six and in no need of replacement. I contacted the head office on this and to date have not received any reply.
I had an amazing history with Monro and then Mr Tire for many years. They have helped me over and over, and in appreciation I wanted to handle this privately thinking maybe this was some sort of mistake. However, I have a friend on disability and extremely limited income who was told she needed a new battery even though her car was running fine. I feel an obligation to protect my fellow senior citizens by bringing this to light. Needless to say I will no longer be doing business with Mr Tire.Monro, Inc.
