Monro shop in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey did $3,000 worth of work (brake lines) on my car. In addition to not providing part numbers, they returned my car with a pinched hood that cannot be opened. The car was appraised to have $2,000 worth of damage. They will not confirm whether or not they have cameras on site and deny they mishandled my car. I was a customer there for a looooong time, but now I will do everything I can to ensure everyone knows you are not safe dealing with these people. Monro (corporation) had an opportunity to step in and clean up the mess started by one of its employees but instead has opted to hide and ignore.
I hope the stink of public criticism will make them reconsider.Monro, Inc.

The notification from the BBB that you replied is time-stamped in my e-mail on Nov. 2nd, 2023, so it was not possible to contact you by 10/31.

So, no response from Monro. I called them. They had a case number and transferred me. I submitted an updated report and pictures. Since then, there has been no response. They won't acknowledge the existence of cameras on site or release images on my car returned to me damaged. Of course, no guilty party would willingly release anything that might be incriminating. Monro's techs damaged my car which it was in their care and/or they knew of damage to my car in their care and did not want to tell me.Review fromAnthony C

?? Just purchased a 1998 **** ******** and had my first disappointing experience at Discount Tires! ??
After patiently waiting for two hours, they finally inspected my brakes. The associate there told me that I needed to replace all the front brakes, including swapping out the calibers, replacing the brake pads, and getting new rotors. ?? They handed me an estimate of a staggering $1400, way beyond my budget!
But I wasn't going to let this ruin my day. ?? I decided to take matters into my own hands and do the work myself. After buying the necessary parts, I started working on the brakes. And guess what I found? ??
The brake pads I removed were in perfect condition, looking brand new! Both calibers were also in great shape, needing no replacement at all. Only the rotors needed some cutting. I couldn't believe it! What a letdown Discount Tires turned out to be. ??

This is a review of the Mr.Tire Auto Center #1076 on 1799 W William’s St, Apex NC. A little disclaimer:
I had been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. Many vehicles, including when my daughters were learning how to drive and getting their own cars. They are in their mid and late 20’s now.
Went to get an oil change and tire rotation on July 30th. Was told by ‘Mario’ that I needed a new caliper. A lesson a mechanic friend of mine told me is that you do not need a caliper if your brake pads are fine. If you need a new caliper your brake pads will be ate up. Spoken with two people who have trucks with over 210 thousand miles on them with the original calipers.
The cost of the caliper was $220.79 and the labor to include the brake fluid change, which has to be done, was $155.59. The overall total charge was $539.65.
Come to find out it was a defective part and I drove from my work in Rocky Mount to Apex that following day with minimal brakes. Had to leave my car overnight. The manager that was there when I went back said he too agreed that I did not need a caliper but because the part had been trashed, they couldn’t prove it. Another lesson is to ask for your old parts.
I’ve been trying to get my money back since the first week of August and have been told the regional manager was looking into it and then it had all been submitted to corporate and they were looking into it. Needless to say, it doesn’t look like I’m getting my money back and they have lost a loyal customer. I also told them word of mouth travels fast and if it was not addressed or rectified in some manner, I would get the word out about their shady practices. There were several other things that surrounded this transaction that made it unscrupulous. If you are a woman or don’t know very much about vehicles, DO NOT utilize this business. It’s a shame that people would do this to other people just trying who are just trying to get by like they are. Please steer clear of this business.Monro, Inc.

This company is biggest SCAM in automotive industry, we took a *** **** to have oil and fuel filter changed an bill was over $700 just down right Robbery! Do not take nothing to them before reading these reviews! Too late for me but $160 Hr Labor rate ridiculous! They will NEVER see anything we own again!Monro, Inc.

I wish I could leave zero stars. My local Monroe in Hornell New York have good customer service and polite workers so you don't realize that you're getting scammed. They are a bunch of con artists and I don't understand how their business could still be running. They charged me over $600 for two brake lines that didn't even need to be replaced. I have heard so many awful stories about this place but it ended up being the most convenient place for me to go at the time so I caved. I will not make that mistake againMonro, Inc.

This place is a total rip off.do not go here unless you want to pay 500 times the price you pay else where. They will quote you a price and charge you a much higher one.they should be put in jail for this.I am sure this is the way they are trained..i am sure they laugh at you when you drive off.. monro....misleading.....over charging....no good...ripoffs ....outrageous pricesMonro, Inc.

Manager falsified psi documents, ever tire was a different psi. alignment tech sent car out misaligned with non straight steering wheel and argued with me about it when I questioned his assistant manager. Specs for alignment was worse then when it went in.Monro, Inc.
