I am not liable for this debt with 01 **** ******** Credit Card. I do not have a contract with DNF Associates, they did not provide me with contract as requested.Business Response

DNF Associates has received the above referenced complaint, which has been forwarded for investigation and response.
To clarify for Mr. *******, DNF Associates, LLC (Hereinafter, "DNF") is a passive debt buyer that purchases charged off receivables and outsources them to collection agencies and/or Attorneys to recover past due amounts. We do not have the ability to open credit lines nor perform collection services or accept payments. Mr. *******'s delinquent **** / ******** ********** account ending in **** (Hereinafter, " the Account") was purchased
directly from **** **** ***, National Association (Hereinafter, "Original Creditor") by DNF on or around 10/13/2022. A copy of the Form of Assignment and Bill of Sale has been attached to this response. The file placed by the Original Creditor contained Mr. *******'s full social security number, his birthdate, an email of *********@*****.COM, a daytime phone number of ###-###-#### and a mailing address of *** ****** ** *** ** ******** NY *****. We have since updated Mr. *******'s file to reflect his new mailing address. The Account in question was opened 03/11/2019
and **** received the final payment of $25.00 on 11/17/2019.
Prior to the receipt of the final payment, Mr. *******'s first date of delinquency was 09/11/2019. Subsequently, the Account was charged-off due to delinquency on 04/13/2020 with a balance of $1281.86. With the extensive Account History
and information being linked to Mr. *******, DNF does not find the activityin question to be fraudulent in nature. If Mr. ******* has more information as to why or how he is
"not liable for this debt", DNF will reinvestigate his claim. As the Current Creditor, DNF
furnished a tradeline on Mr. *******'s ***** ***** credit report. FCRA laws allow this. The statute for removing a tradeline is seven (7) years after the first date of delinquency, defined as 30 days after the final payment was received by the Original Creditor. This tradeline is due to be removed in or prior to September of
2026. We wish to apologize to Mr. ******* for any
inconvenience this has caused. If he would like to
discuss how to resolve the Account, we encourage him to contact us. We will then place the Account with a licensed debt collector for recovery purposes. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to
this matter. If we can be of any further
assistance, please feel free to contact us directly. Sincerely, David M. Chief Compliance OfficerInitial Complaint

I received a garnishment notice from the city marshall because of this company.. i never have had a contract with DNF associates and i demand they provided evidence of any financial transactions that show im in debt to them for whatever the amount they stipulate. This is ludicrous for them to be able to take money from my hard earn work with no justification. I was never served papers from any court stating i owed them money. I will be filing an order to vacate and will counter sue for illegal practicesBusiness Response

Current Creditor: DNF ASSOCIATES LLC

Acct #: **************** Account Balance: $0.00
Dear ******** *****,
DNF ASSOCIATES LLC has purchased your account that originated with *** **** ***** **** ******** **** and
has placed your account with our office for collection.
We are in receipt to your payments in the amount of $515.00 and your account will be updated as paid in full.
I would also like to add that I spoke with a manager at dnf about incorrect opened account dates as this account is over 7 yrs old and the original **** ***** account was removed from my credit report and dnf opened it as a new account as of January of this year which is illegal . They also reopened the closed account that is paid and settled in full as shown above in my receipts and I was told would be removed it it closed and then 6 months later someone there reopened it with an unknown balance . This is highly illegal and I want it removed immediately and cannot reach anyone there . I spoke with ********** who took the original payment and they said they show paid in full with receipt and to dispute it which I did . If DNF is reading this I want it removed permanently from my credit report and to stop changing dates and reopening things that there is a zero balance on and also time barred debt that has a zero balance and changing dates on the accounts . I want correction to my credit report which means closed and deleted for fraudulent reporting .Business Response

DNF Associates, LLC (Hereinafter, "DNF") has received the above referenced complaint, which has been forwarded for investigation and response. Ms. *****' **** ***** **** ******** **** ending in **** (Hereinafter, "the Account") was opened 02/27/2017 and kept in good standing until it was ultimately charged-off due to delinquency 12/05/2018. Ms. *****' first date of delinquency was 06/04/2018. To clarify for Ms. *****, a ********* may be placed on a Consumer's credit report up to seven (7) years after the first date of delinquency. The ********* DNF furnished to Ms. *****' ***** ***** report was not due to be removed until June of 2025 Because we use third party collection agencies, our system does not have “real-time” balance updates. We receive weekly and monthly status reports from our network of collection agencies and Attorneys. DNF placed a ********* on Ms. *****' ***** ***** credit report on or around 04/03/2023, with the balance our system showed due at the time. Coincidently, Ms. ***** paid her bill to the servicing collection agency the same day we furnished the data. We received notice and remit from the servicing collection agency 05/09/2023. Ms. ***** disputed her ********* through ***** ***** on 05/05/2023. Because the ********* was in active dispute, our balance update was blocked from the *********. DNF has decided to remove the ********* in an act of good faith. A request for removal was sent to ***** ***** on 11/07/2023. A copy of that request has been attached to this response. Please allow 30-45 days for this change to reflect. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this matter. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact us directly.
