      My bill went from 50 to 180. I called and was told all I had to do was re- apply a promotion and it would be brought down to 59 a month. I was given a number to call back on the day of payment and did so promotion was applied and I paid the 59 dollars. I then received a letter in the mail saying my payment of of 70 dollars was returned and I was charged a 30 dollar fee that brought my bill to 111. Which made no sense I paid 59 not 70. So I called and was told the same thing the letter said I asked why the amount was 70 and not the 59 I paid they said they never received my payment of 59 instead received a 70 payment from a bank account that does not belong to me and informed me my bill was never brought down to 59 but was 70 a month after the promotion was applied (they acknowledged the promotion given by the person who took my $59 payment) the return payment fee plus the $70bill and the new bill brought it to 180 they said. I told them about the number they gave me to call about applying the promotion and how I paid my 59 dollars and they(optimum) told me I was scammed that we don't give out numbers for you to pay your bill. I told them the optimum employee told me to call for the promotion and pay my bill there... They said no we wouldn't ever do that and we didn't receive your payment. (Yet even they told me the bill was only brought down to 70 with the promotion not down to 59) So if the call was a scam how did the scammers promotion lower my bill to 70. When they claim whoever applied my promotion and took my payment was a scammer how did the scammers promotion apply on my actual account?? Aside from that someone is paying my bill with an empty account then the payment gets returned and charges my account a $30 fee every time. When asked the employee to fix it he said he can't prevent someone from paying my bill and now im getting cut off because I refuse to pay the late fees and they won't return my $59 payment and how can I trust if I pay it will pay my bill?

      I have been an Optimum customer for over 10 years, my bill suddenly jumped to $230 and I refuse to continue service . I called on 11/1/24 to disconnect services and was given 7 days to turn in my equipment which I did on 11/8/24. Today I'm being told that my services cannot be disconnected until the end of November and I will be charged. How is that possible when I returned all their equipment to the store. At this point it seems like I'm being DENIED cancellation for the company to charge me for a month of service without their equipment in my possession . I will definite seek legal advice.

      Optimum has had the monopoly on internet in our area for over a decade. Another provider has finally become available and trying to disconnect your service with Optimum is virtually impossible. Not only do they try to entice you to stay by cutting your rates in half....you should have done this for your customers long before you had competition...they give you the run around about disconnecting. You can't do it in person in their store. I have now spent over 4 hours talking to people and manage to get disconnected before they finish and they don't call back even though the verify the call back number. Today I spent ************************************************************************** she would need to call me back this evening. I demanded to speak to her supervisor and was finally able to get the service cancelled (I think). I ask for her to send confirmation that it had been cancelled and she told me she couldn't do that. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I did not sign a lifetime contract with you guys. End the service without making me spend hours on the phone.

      This company is not customer friendly. I found out an issue with Optimum/Altice on 10/13/2024 and on 10/31/2024 I needed to cancel tv service, after being a customer for 24 years and three months, because of the incompetence. Nothing was ever noted on my account, so nothing was ever taken care of. I even sent copies of the chat to the CEO of Altice to rectify the situation. No response. Do better Optimum. I shouldn't have to contact a New York company to be transferred to another country.

      .My internet service and wiFi access decreased tremendously from the front of my house to the back. I HAD access. Once you started charging me per MB my wifi service went from 300 MB same room as the router to 15 MB 15 feet away to 0 in the front of my house which is 50 feet. Then told me to get an extender because your service was substandard. . I returned a box in August, the 18th to be exact. I didn’t pay attention to the bill because my mom was extremely sick and passed during that time. I realized I was still being charged 230.00. I called in November and was given this funny math explanations about your discounts. Which adds up to be BS. If you are going to tell me a package cost this and boxes cost that flat out and I bring a piece of equipment back I should have a reduced bill. But when I called I got these discombobulated explanations that insulted my intelligence. I noticed dropped channels earlier in the year . But recently I went back and jotted down 62 channels with either an error 23 or an error 21 . Of course you made me connect and disconnect equipments before you would arrange for anyone coming out and added any internal equipment problems that they find I would have to pay for and the $80.00 for them coming out. Now I went to the optimum store with ALL of my equipment to cancel. I wasn’t about to pay $80.00. Stood on line then was told that I had to call to cancel. Stood on the side making that call being transferred for 40 minutes. Then being asked if there is anything they could do to have me change my mind. THAT TIME AND OPPORTUNITY HAD COME AND GONE. I was a customer for 19 years. Only reason I got cable was because after the ***** ***** ****** disaster there was no good service. I went analog with the digital box. That became no longer supported and I wanted my mother to enjoy her cooking shows and whatever she was used to watching. But since her death there is NO incentive to keep optimum.. Your service stinks.

      Optimum is the most unscrupulous, unreliable internet company Ive ever had the displeasure of using. When I tried to cancel my service the representatives harassed me for ********************************************************* not follow through with disconnection. They were impudent and showed no remorse for wasting my time. My bill increased without warning, my internet was running slower than what I paid for, and you have no ability to cancel online!!!

      I would not recommend this Internet Provider due to them increasing the bill with no explanation at all. I have been paying 3 times what my bill should be for over a year. When you call they change it and offer you a couple of months free but then try to get you to purchase other things.

      I called Optimum to try and get service in *******. I had tried 2 times before and got the same answer "We don't service *******, only ********". But this last time they assured me that they serviced *******. All I wanted was internet services. I had three different technicians come out to try and install my services but it was just not working. So I decided to cancel my pending install and get my refund back. I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND BACK!! When I called to try and get it, I was told that it would take 5-7 business days. That was two weeks ago. I called back today (11/7/24) and was told that now it would take ***** days for a refund and that it would go back to the card I used. ***?!!! I NEED MY MONEY BACK!!! YOU TOLD ME IT WAS MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!!! YOU BETTER GET IT TOGETHER BEFORE SOMEONE SUES YOUR ASS!!

      ******** customer service all around. You wait on hold most of time and I wanted to file a complaint about remarks made to me by a representative and then I was placed on hold again and then was told it will be dealt with and that was it. Seriously?

      Optimum CSR's will tell you anything you want to hear to get you off the phone. But then they don't follow through as promised. This happens EVERY time I call them. It's predictable. Most recently my rate goes up with no notice, (a yearly occurrence). I play the game (they tell me it's something you have to do to get a lower rate). Call their help line and indicate you want to cancel all services and then negotiate the lower rate. This time the new rate was unacceptable. Agent agreed to provide a credit for 3 months to get me through the end of the year; maybe I can get a better deal in January. The credit showed up the first month but not the next month. Called again; new agent said she could could me a lower rate for the same services. Wow. that's great! But it wasn't for the same services. Now I'm getting a lesser package. Called again to resolve the issue. Agent said he could do nothing that day but promised he would call me back in two days. And, of course, he didn't. Trying to call back today but "all circuits are busy". Their product is great when it works but dealing with their customer service team is a nightmare. THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR PROMISES!
