      If I could give them zero stars I would. I have had nothing but problems with this company. **************** is useless. If you call they only try to haggle your bill to keep you as a customer. It took me two different customer service **** and over an hour to cancel my account. I was never told that since I was two days into my billing cycles I would be charge the full amount even though I canceled and turned in the equipment the same day. I advise anyone considering Optimum internet/phone or any service provided by Altice or any affiliates to use ANYONE else.

      Do not use Optimum for any services. I used them for 8 years for internet with perfect payment history. Called them today 10/09/2024 to cancel my service and after talking to several people and 40+minutes of arguing with them to cancel my service I had to get rude and tell them what part of CANCEL do they not understand. It got to the point I told them I would take legal action if they could not honor my request. Totally ridiculous.

      Outages that hit midday for HOURS, no explanations. ******** customer service experience. We had two outages in the same day with no explanation and they claim its out of their control. No attempts to address the underlying issue. Their outage map doesnt work. 7+ hours no internet. We had three outages in a ten day period and it costs us more money in lost work and reputation than they are worth.

      If I could give zero stars I would. Optimum has been no help with spotty at best internet service and lack luster customer support for the last month. Im pretty sure they get away with charging more by refusing to hire employees who can communicate at a high school level when it comes to billing. Use anybody else if you have the option.

      Their service is terrible and then they wont let you cancel their service without spending over an hour on the phone with all kinds of tacky tactics to keep your account open.

      This company is not one to deal with. Our bill continued to raise until we threatened to leave. They started giving us lower prices from two different departments. When we said no to all of it they gave us one month to change our minds. We called back the next day to clarify they changed things again. At that time we canceled. We have returned the equipment to them and we were told we owed another full month because we canceled on the 2. Our billing statement stated 1-30. We told them we would pay part and we were told the whole bill. This is not a company to trust or believe. Please don't do business with them.

      ******** customer service and product for that matter. I opened up a new account and still havent be able to connect to the internet. Ive been on the phone for days with them. A tech even came to my house and said he couldnt fix my connection issue that everything was good on his end. They cant even send out new equipment! I have to send the junk one back and wait for a new one. So at this point by the time I get the new router it will be 2 weeks of paying for a service I havent even used once and has caused me nothing but stress and hassle.

      After years of subpar service, I finally tried to cancel and had an agent that wouldn't let me cancel my service. It was incredible. In my 55 years on this planet, I have never experienced a call like this. He was argumentative with me and refused to cancel my service. It was unbelievably unprofessional. I had to call back later to cancel. I am glad to be free.

      We have had ongoing issues / problems with Altice/Optimum these past several months!They do NOT care that a customer of 24 years of loyalty has been having problems with their service! I was told a few months ago that my bill would stay at $150 or in the $150s. Ive been satisfied since April. Suddenly in August 4 months later my bill went up to $199. Ive had nothing but BS arguing from Altice ********************* Ive spoken to a few Smart **** advisors that try to hand me $20 a month off for only 3 months then tell me my promotion is up/ no longer valid this is despite the fact that I have emails in writing that my bills will be in the $150s!!!I last week had spent one and a half hours on the phone with another smart **** advisor actually arguing with me!one time curtesy Ill deduct $100!Yet forced me to pay them $372 for Aug and September Then I have to go back to arguing with them again after December.I happen to know that the ******************** has the capability to restructure bills for longer than a few months and I dont appreciate the GREEDINESS that Altice has become!After 24 years without problems they cannot just raise prices by $40 a month!The senior management at Altice needs to protect the business they have with longtime loyal customers ********** tech never showed up again today and my TV still has major problems yet I have a promise in an email in writing Im very unhappy and disappointed in the company and especially ******************** staff! Quite rude as well We can no longer record DVR and we pay for it. Weve had three appointments cancelled on us where we rearranged our schedules and NO SHOW!! In addition we have several channels that buffer and we miss entire sentences. It is so annoying, to which they do not show up to Technical support appointments!This company has very much gone down hill with the rudest Retention staff!!Very unhappy customer!
