2 starsWe have had ongoing issues / problems with Altice/Optimum these past several months!They do NOT care that a customer of 24 years of loyalty has been having problems with their service! I was told a few months ago that my bill would stay at $150 or in the $150s. Ive been satisfied since April. Suddenly in August 4 months later my bill went up to $199. Ive had nothing but BS arguing from Altice ********************* Ive spoken to a few Smart **** advisors that try to hand me $20 a month off for only 3 months then tell me my promotion is up/ no longer valid this is despite the fact that I have emails in writing that my bills will be in the $150s!!!I last week had spent one and a half hours on the phone with another smart **** advisor actually arguing with me!one time curtesy Ill deduct $100!Yet forced me to pay them $372 for Aug and September Then I have to go back to arguing with them again after December.I happen to know that the ******************** has the capability to restructure bills for longer than a few months and I dont appreciate the GREEDINESS that Altice has become!After 24 years without problems they cannot just raise prices by $40 a month!The senior management at Altice needs to protect the business they have with longtime loyal customers ********** tech never showed up again today and my TV still has major problems yet I have a promise in an email in writing Im very unhappy and disappointed in the company and especially ******************** staff! Quite rude as well We can no longer record DVR and we pay for it. Weve had three appointments cancelled on us where we rearranged our schedules and NO SHOW!! In addition we have several channels that buffer and we miss entire sentences. It is so annoying, to which they do not show up to Technical support appointments!This company has very much gone down hill with the rudest Retention staff!!Very unhappy customer!Review fromDmitry C

1 starName ****** CHOKLIN ********************************************************************* Account number *************** i CANCELLED MY SERVICE. Yet I still get texts asking for payment. I sent the unit back already.i called today to cancel it again. they said they have no record of cancellation. I called again. they said they couldnt cancel without an access code. I was never given an access code because i dont have an online account with you. and i tried to make an online account but the website wouldnt let me. i am officially stating that my service is cancelled and the unit was returned and please stop messaging me. please let me know what can be done to fix this asap! i spent two hours on the phone, and it wasnt resolved!Review fromRichard M

2 starsTotally bait and switched us! Cell phone sales people said we would get $15 off of our internet when we signed up, we got no internet discount at all. The internet service has been okay up until now, I don't think the internet side is the problem, but the cell phone people. Their sales guys are total liars!Review fromCierra I

1 starIf I could give them 0 stars I would. Our Internet is down more often than it works. My husband tried to call to cancel 3 times today. Each time they asked for his phone number "in case they are disconnected". He was disconnected each time and never received a call back. I gave it a shot when I got home from work. They said the same thing, asking for my number in case we were disconnected. I made it very clear that my husband had already tried calling 3 times and was disconnected, and that if I were disconnected, I was not going to be happy. I was on and off of hold with a call center in ***** for ************************************ more questions about my experience despite my pleas to just hurry and cancel. They then transferred me to a supervisor. I was on and off of hold again for another 30 minutes. He asked all of the same questions that I already answered. It took an hour to cancel my service. There's absolutely no reason why it should have taken more than 30 seconds. I firmly believe that this a scam to get people to hang up and give up on cancelling, so that they can continue to be billed. There is no way to cancel online and they make it near impossible to get done over the phone. Something needs to be done about this.Review fromANGIE M

1 starMy concern with this company that I have been a customer for more than fifteen years, and I am consistantly not satisfied with the customer service, sadly I am unable to request another cable company for my area due to regulations. My bill is consistently incorrect from $104 to 114 now $163.00. I called back in March and was informed that the promo has expired and I am up for renewal. I also set my account up for automated billing however; I continue receiving incorrect billing and than was told because it was not set up correctly and as of today my promo expired.September 23rd, 2024 I call again due to incorrect billing, the representative ( Chyan ) was very unprofessionaly, she asked for my name and when I told her she said it did not match the billing, I than offered to give her my four digit code as others have always asked and she refused to take such information as well as I offered my account number. I request to speak with another representative and was told that she will not be able to transfer me, so I asked for a supervisor/manager this to was declient. This is extremely unprofession customer service, my bill is incorrect and I have called three times today just to be put on hold for twenty minutes. I am frustrated that I have to consistently call regarding the same issues.I call back, and spoke with representative ****, and was informed that the $20 credit can take up to a year, and the promo has expired which is why the bill has increased. Again today I have to speak with the retention department. This is poor customer service, ******************** forces one to take on packages such as a home phone / now mobile that I have no use for. She than offered to credit me $15 but than delcline since I rejected the mobile package. I am requesting that a Manager call me with an offer of a standard bill. 1 starOptimum is the Absolute Worst3 Days Without Internet and They Dont Care!Ive been without internet for THREE ENTIRE DAYS, and Optimum doesnt seem to give a ****. I had a service appointment, and they had the nerve to tell me someone ELSE will come to assist. Guess what? NO ONE shows up! I do have the service agent number he doesnt respond always says my boss is working on it. This is beyond ridiculous! Im paying for a service that they arent providing, and all theyre doing is stringing me along with lies and excuses.And heres the kickerthe person sitting behind a screen replying to reviews with, Were sorry for the inconvenienceare you kidding me?! Stop wasting your time with those pathetic, useless apologies. Its insulting! If you spent half as much time fixing the actual problems as you do typing up these worthless responses, maybe youd have less pissed-off customers! What good is an apology when Ive been without internet for THREE DAYS? How about you get off your lazy ***, stop hiding behind your keyboard, and DO YOUR JOB!Im furious. Three days without internet, no solutions, and the same BS runaround. Optimum is an absolute joke. Your customer service is a complete failure, your tech support is non-existent, and your pathetic attempts at appeasing customers online make it even worse. 1 starThe five channels that we watch on this cable service provider drop out with a "temporary service disruption" message. This, of course, happens in the middle of watching programs and lasts for about 10 minutes each time. We spend over 300 dollars monthly and have called a dozen times about this issue. We have had technicians in our home and working on it on the outside plant. It has never been fixed. We simply cannot invest more time on the phone about this. We escalated the customer complaint only to be offered a $33.00 refund. This is robbery. We wrote an email to the *** and of course never heard back. Disgusting display of bad leadership. As soon as we can dismantle our Optimum email account from all of our business contacts we will discontinue our Optimum account. I actually was a Cablevision employee years ago and have had an Optimum account for decades. There is NO investment in the exterior plant infrastructure and the executive management is clearly a sad representation. Find another service provider because it won't get better. 1 starI think this company is ripping people off and trying to do the same with me. I've been trying for almost five weeks now to get my cable bill straightened out and to no avail. All that had to be done was to transfer the service I had to my new address and they messed it up .Showing I owe a bill of $655.71 and that its past due which it is not! I have tried repeatedly going on 5 weeks to get this straightened out and nothing... I am enlisting the help of you guys to get this done. They have already disconnected my landline. I would not recommend this service to anyone! it's a joke!!! MY former bill was only $139.65 per moth as a bundle and that included cable, internet, and phone. I have been getting the run around and I'm tired of it. Telling me I have to call and get it fixed, instead of them doing it...Review fromAshley A

1 starCriminal. I had a legacy account with ********************** and it stopped working. Optimum said that theyd need to rewrite the whole house and recommended I switch to fiber optic. They completely changed my plan and made it unaffordable. They rewired the house anyway. This provider has frequent outages and is not worth the cost. **************** **** are purposely deceptive.Review fromChristina R

1 starIf I could give this company 0 stars, l would. I switched over to their service back in March of this year. At that time, they had a promotion where you would get a gift card of $200 after 3 months of using them. When I called last week to find out what was going on the excuse I got was that I became ineligible for the card because I missed a payment which was not true. According to the sales *** I spoke to when I signed up, I had a credit of $100 with them because I had them before. So it was applied to the account. Anyway, I will leave the rest of the story out since this is a review. Also, my bill keeps going up when I was told the price would stay the same (for basic TV and internet) for 1 year. So they are crooks as well. I also received a text message recently about a letter their CEO (?) wrote about the great customer service. What a joke.
