      Had internet through this company that was always going off. Even though I paid for 200mps I still couldnt stream movies. Last fall they replaced a line from the telephone pole to our house and just left the line laying in our yard. We made multiple calls to have them bury the line with no luck. Approximately 6 months later we needed to mow our yard and my husband buried the line. Then this company fraudulently started billing us late fees when we had set up our credit card for autopay on their website!So I called to cancel service, since they wont let you cancel on their website. Three hours later I was assured I would receive a termination email, which never came. Even though I called to cancel Optimum continued to charge us a monthly fee.This is the most fraudulent business I have ever had to deal with!!!

      This company is ridiculous. My parents have been with this company for years and I mean for years. They kept going up and up yearly. I found them a better internet provider and optimum had me on the line for over an hour (still on now)

      Worst company on earth my box didn't work so they mailed a new one 10 days later. Now they overcharge me instead of a discount manager said he can't do anything

      IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY 0 STARS I WOULD. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM IT IS A TRAP!! Internet/wifi is SO BAD. It never works, theres always outages, they told me a technician would not be able to fix my internet for a week, so I got a new provider and called them to cancel my service. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME CANCEL. I was on the phone for 2 hours, 4 service ***** 1.75 of those hours, I was on hold. I told them I wanted to cancel, and they gave me the run around, offering promos, free service, then they put you on hold so you give up. DONT GIVE UP. Eventually I got to the account manager and again had to explain the situation for the 10th time and reiterate I wanted to CANCEL. Still wouldnt let me. On hold AGAIN. Finally they cancelled my account, but I dont trust them so I got all their names and recorded the conversations and got the call reference number. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!

      The service is terrible you wait on the phone for ***** min. Every time it rains the internet service goes out. I have called to try to cancel my plan and was unable to get a hold of anyone I even asked for a call back. Im moving and have equipment that needs to be picked up. They changed my bill without my acknowledgment. No customer spending their money should have to pay a bill for services they didnt want or ask for. This is by far the worst company I have had to deal with.

      I had increase in my bill to over $208 on 2/15/2024. I called up and asked about lowering my bill. The *** told me that he could get a fixed bill for about $155 without any increases. So I signed up for the fiber internet, TV and phone. On 7/26/2024, the bill went up to over $170. I called and asked about the change and was told that the bill would be rolled back to about $155. In 8/2024, the **** ***** remained at over $170. I have already lost service twice since I started this service. I called and was told that a one year promotion had ended. This is news to me. They said that they would reimburse me for lost service, but I have my doubts.

      BUYER BEWARE!! We have been fighting with Optimum for their service and financial handling of payments, etc. You are promised certain things with your service, but then you are told not in your area for now and they keep stringing you along with the "promise" of it coming. Secondly, watch your account financially. We had stopped auto pay as they were taking it out of our bank changing the dates constantly. We finally took it off autopay and my husband paid directly on the due date. But guess what? They continued to take auto pay along WITH our manual payment. They would not send it back, nor return phone calls or give us an explanation. I gave all information to our bank and the bank agreed with us and filed the dispute and we eventually got our money back they had basically stolen. We moved a few states away, called them and gave them a date to cancel. Guess what? They kept billing us even though we weren't even living there at that time, etc. then harassed us to pay the bill. I have a copy of the final bill showing it was paid in full. But recently 3 months after the fact, I was sent a new bill with a one time charge of ******. No explanation, their equipment was sent back and we have the postal receipts so it's obvious that they are assuming people are too stupid to see what they are doing. I have threatened lawsuit if they keep harassing us and have written corporate. I don't expect to hear from them as if this company is any indication, I don't give much credit to Altice which is the owning company of Optimum. Anyway, Anyone interested needs to know. For the record, I have paper proof on everything I said including the bank dispute. Again, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

      Absolutely sub par so called high speed intranet service. I upgraded last March and I've had nothing but problems with spotty service slow speed and inadequate reliability. This is especially problematic as I work from home and I need dependable service. I've called at least 5 times or more and have had several technicians visit the house. The issues are resolved temporarily then within a couple of weeks they return, all the while I'm paying for premium high speed. The worst part is that there currently isn't another provider in the area so I can't switch yet. My advice is don't have anything to do with them if at all possible .****** *

      I have canceled my services 5 times now and their "retention" department keeps denying me the ability to do that. I don't know how a company can deny providing you with services tell you that a technician is coming out, (never shows up) Tell you that they are sending you a new gateway and that never shows up. HOW IN GOD'S NAME IS THIS COMPANY STILL IN BUSINESS??? Please join me in making a report to the ****************** about this company.

      This is the worst company I have ever used and them and **** have a monopoly in my area so your choice is expensive trash vs more expensive trash. I am so sick of my internet connection disappearing at 10pm every single night. This has happened for days on end now, they've sent multiple techs, including a senior one, I've exchanged the gateway they gave me with another and still the issue persists. The senior tech they sent out, they've sent him before and every time he comes he does absolutely nothing and is on the phone taking personal calls the entire time. It's so frustrating because they give ZERO info about anything to the customer and they lie on their outage page. Internet is always out but there's never an outage on the map. They need to split the load if it's too much or release their monopoly hold on the area so other ISPs can come in and help lighten the load. I am so tired of nothing getting done. I can't ***, do school or training, anything, everything has to be done from 8am-10pm or I'm out of luck. Mind you I'm still paying FULLPAYMENT for incomplete service. I reported them to the *** and now I'm here. This company has a LONG documented history of this and no one is doing anything to stop them - this country and ***** company needs to do better by consumers - we make the world go round, if we stop buying who are they selling to? I see exactly why this *********** isn't accredited, it should honestly be shut down. *****.
