1 starJuly 26th I woke to a knock on my door. Half awake I answer and its an executive from Optimum. He was polite but very aggressive trying to sell me on returning to the service. So much so that he lied stating that I would not be charged for equipment or service. All I had to do was sign and get the equipment.I told him I have no income and I am under the care of the head of house so I am not able to afford the service. I told him twice! But he scammed me into signing the digital signature and enrolled me anyway with me thinking differently!I thought it was a free digital box for local channels but when I got an e-mail bill I immediately called same day to cancel the order to not get charged and to cancel the shipment for the equipment. I thought I was successful but the next day (27th) I got an e-mail with order confirmation stating that the equipment shipped and showing me a bill again! THEY DID NOT CANCEL ANYTHING THE PREVIOUS DAY! I call again to try and figure out the issue on the 30th after getting an e-mail welcoming me to Optimum again. At this point the equipment is already here and I am now responsible for it even though I canceled the shipment. I end up going through 4 reps and every one of them are trying to sell me on the service. Very aggressive and soulless. The last rep finally said she canceled the service but said nothing can be done in terms of pick up for equipment. She gave me a scan label sent to e-mail for Fed Ex but **** loops Fed Ex packages. So my last option is to bring it to an office. I am in a low income family on disability. I have no income,no vehicles. I am supported by my elderly head of house. Today (August 1st) I finally got an e-mail stating they received my request to disconnect. They have called me everyday, multiple times trying to get me to stay a customer harassing me! They literally just called me typing this out AGAIN! The 3rd time today!!!!I will happily stay with T-Mobile even with the frequent outages.Review fromleon h

1 staraltice, is a scam i have a account with them and needed a new phone i went to there store in my town, i saw a phone on sale for ****** dollars regular price was ****** dollars, sound like a good deal so i told the sale person i would take this one and to put it on my account to make monthly installments, she told me to sign for it , and i did i never she never gave me the discount until i got home, it was late i return to the store the next day the sale sign was still up but the sale person that sold me the phone was not there, so spoke with some one else, he look it up and said that the sale was off two days ago, and there was nothing he can do, but if i wanted to return the phone i would have to pay a restocking fee of ***** and all the accessories that i bought is non-refundable, i had to pay $114.58 up front, after i return the phone i was refunded $4.60, it was not my fault i should not have any money, i spoke with the store manager, and customer, they both told me the same thing that it was the company policy, i lost $110.00 because that store did false advertisement, who knows how many other customer they did this to, i do think this company should be investigated for bad business practices, i no longer have altice mobile servicesReview fromAnna T

1 starI got a letter from Optimum mobile stating that my application on terms of credit that I requested was denied. I never filled out an application to request credit. I called up the number on the letter and all the foreign customer service representatives from ******************** did not even know why I got the letter or what it is. The letter is legit from Optimum mobile with letter head with ******************************************************************* and also indicates for any questions regarding their decision contact = CSC Wireless, LLC d/ab/a Optimum Mobile ***********************************. I called the number and the optimum reps are oblivious. The letter also claims it went through Experian credit bureau. Optimum is filled with fraudster customer service reps and techs. Every time I call .Optimum I never get an American who will listen to what I am requesting and help me find out why I got this letter from Optimum. Also my optimum mobile account doesnt work, It went to escalation 4 times, each time they said it was fixed and it wasnt. As of this moment its back in escalation, they dont even know what they did to it and why its not working properly. Foreigners are not great with technical and resolutions.Review fromTraci K

1 starUnfortunately, I live in a tiny rural town, and this is our only choice for business internet.I am tired of calling to have service fixed, corrected, or updated (they spelled my company name wrong, it took over 3 hours on the phone to fix it).EVERY, yes EVERY appointment that a tech has come out, has been a minimum of 2 hours AFTER THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME. The time they said they could be there. Now we are on to rescheduling my appointment times without notice, or even asking if the date/time. I tried to transfer a landline number to them to bundle my service, (my main phone number). Not only have they not handled it, but I called the landline provider today, and they stated they have not received a request. So I will be doing a conference call with all of them tomorrow during their "Office hours" to find out WHY they can not get their act together.I highly recommend finding someone, anyone else that can provide your service. Otherwise, plan on multi-hour phone calls, 10 transfers (at minimum), and agents that cannot help. The agents "promise" and "assure" that this will all work out. Their words not mine, and I know that it is not worked out.My home service is even worse! 4 routers later, they decided it was the wiring coming in to the house, and that my service was the best they could do. I pay for 1 Gig, and at my TV 200mps. The buffering is unreal.DO NOT RECOMMEND.Review fromPedro D

1 starWell, I don't know why I get sent to the **************** NY one, but I won't complain it's the same company anyways. For a couple years now, I just moved into ****** and are basically forced to use their services and over the past couple years its nothing more than a headache. If I have to work at home, there's always a problem with the internet and I'm always having to dial their customer support to restart the router 40 times over and honestly, it's pretty dam bad. I want to swap ISP's so dam badly but because optimum wants to monopolize the area I live in and not even put fiber in that area, I'm left with 0 choice but to accept their 0-star service and just accept it like that while overpaying them because their internet plan is for $80 dollars a month that's just without any of their packages alone just for some broadband internet and the only option I have, barely functions as is. I wish for them to install Fiber in the area I live in but I know they won't due it until everyone's money is milked dry because they are scared of competition. I pray that one day they will give this area fiber and a much better service, h*** even looking at the map and seeing *********** have so many outages all at once is really dam sad. If I knew how to report a monopolized area I would but it seems the government doesn't see the care at all. A place that has internet, but no other company is able to provide internet because of a small contract is ******** and shouldn't exist.Review fromTiffany B

1 starDid not have internet service for two weeks of an outage so i called and canceled my service early before the end of my current billing period. They called every day multiple times trying to make me stay and then wanted to repair my service outage which I told them too late. I received a bill of $17 for the next months billing period which I already canceled. Had to call and fight them that they owed me a outage credit so I am due money still of they wanted to sort that out first which they zeroed out the next months bill to credit. But I don't understand how I'm being billed still when it says I am disconnected. Seems like this will forever be a fight.Review fromGARRY I

1 starOptimum (an Altice company) is a company that uses predatory practices to boost its bottom line at the expense of its customers. When my elderly parents needed their service disconnected on the 3rd of the month because that's the day they were moving, the Optimum rep informed me that they will only disconnect service on the last day of a billing cycle, which is the 28th. So our options were to make my parents go a week with no internet or TV, or to pay for a full month when they'd only be using it for 6 days of that month. Another Optimum rep confirmed this on ******* (which is the only way the company offers to contact them other than by phone), and he informed me that they're justified in doing business this way because "many" of their industry competitors have the same policy. I have never heard of a business operating like this. In addition, their services are severely overpriced, and had I known what my parents were paying, I would have had them switch a long time ago, especially given this cancellation policy. I don't know anyone who has $200 to just throw away because a company doesn't care about its customers. Thankfully, nobody in our family will be giving another dime to this company ever. Shame on you, Optimum.Review fromSivan H

1 starOptimum would not let me cancel their services when I called (during regular business hours) to request a cancellation. They kept offering me tech support or other services despite my repeated request to cancel my service. I do not have a contract and have paid my account in full. I was kept on the phone and harassed with long speeches the customer service rep was clearly required to read to me or placed on long holds. It took me a total of 46 mins to finally cancel the service. I have been a customer with them for over 10 years and no company should make it this hard to cancel their service.Review fromSonia P

1 starDuring hurricane ***** utility poles were knocked down all over the ******* and surrounding cities. 9 days without power and linemen had us reconnected. After which Optimum Internet has not done anything to reconnect its customers. They will not even provide an ETA for repairs. Its been 18 days today. Still without any optimum employees in our neighborhoods. Yet they expect us to pay our bill in full without receiving any service. Services have not been rendered and they expect us customers to pay.
