Suddenlink was bought out by Optimum. I have an account with them. They credited my account for $189 about 4 months ago because they over charged me. I have called them, which they should show record of, the last 4 months because they take the fees off and then put them back on once the computer generates my bill. I am so tired of messing with them. I live in an apartment, Im 67 and on a fixed income. No one will help so I just paid it. Its pretty pitiful when a large company like this takes advantage of their customers. Since I live in these apartments they are the only company I can get internet through.

******** company, my emails are censored. I sign up for emails from credible sources and they go to my junk box or I do not get the emails at all. They have even placed interview requests from Fortune 100 companies in my junk box. Emails I read on a regular basis also go to my junk box as well as emails I forward from my own company! Oh and how dare I forget to mention, all the real junk goes to my inbox. Their customer service tries but are ineffective. Completely frustrating to have to use other email providers when I am paying so much for Optimums service.

Zero stars is more accurate. They took advantage of my elderly grandparents several times by overcharging and increasing their price regularly without notice. We cancelled services in november and they charged them 2 more months so we had to call and cancel services again. I was on the phone getting the run around and their retention pitch for 2 hours. They are a gross company. Would not reccomend.

Never received the internet speeds I paid for. Outdated hardware at poles. Met with an hour of sales resistance when attempting to cancel and had to threaten that them not allowing me to cancel was illegal.

Was forced to sign up with Optimum because no one else services my apartment complex. I had issues from the beginning setting up my account online and on the phone, with the *** stating I had to walk into a local branch (30min) away from where I live. They sure had no problem drafting my payment out of my account though! So I had to wait almost a week until my next day off work to go in to the local branch who had 'no problem' finding my account and setting it up. It was fine for about a week until all my devices got kicked off the internet. I tried to log into my account to figure out what was going on, and the website and app both stated that my username/password were incorrect. Called tech support and the *** read me my username/password correctly. I told them I was having trouble logging in and he said 'okay try again' and coincidentally it worked no problem... after I had problems logging in and called. Fast forward a month when I try to log in to make a payment. Same problem, the website stating my username/password is incorrect. I called in AGAIN to speak to someone and he said that I didn't even have a username set up... Which I told him shouldn't be the case because I had been logging in just fine before. So this *** said he had to make me a new username and temporary password so I could get in to reset it. The only thing the *** kept saying is this is 'weird' ************ is seriously sketchy and is doing something on the back end forcing me to have to reset passwords or call in to have my account checked, multiple times now. I unfortunately cannot cancel this service because I need internet and no one else services this area.

Altice Mobile Is a Predatory Scam Beware! If I could give Altice Mobile zero stars, I would. This company preys on the elderly, and their business practices are downright fraudulent. They suckered my elderly mother into signing up for a $50/month mobile phone service as an add-on to her cable package. The catch? They never even issued her a phone. Not once did she receive a device, activate a number, or use the service in any way. Yet, they happily billed her $50 every single month for over a year. When we discovered this and demanded a refund, Altice refused to credit a single dollar backdespite the fact that she never even had a mobile phone connected to their service. To make matters worse, cancelling was a nightmare. Because she was never issued a phone or an account number, and ********************** had automatically enrolled her in paperless billing, she had no way to log in or even access her account. And what did their customer service say? Sorry, we cant cancel without an account number. Are you kidding me?It took weeks of frustration, multiple phone calls, and endless runarounds just to stop the unauthorized charges. Altice Mobile is nothing more than a scam operation that deliberately traps older, less tech-savvy customers in a billing cycle they cant escape. They exploit the elderly and confused, locking them into services they dont use and making cancellation as difficult as possible.Stay far, far away from this predatory company. If you have older relatives who use Altice, check their bills immediately. They might be getting ripped off just like my mother was. Shame on Altice.

If it were possible for me to use a different company in my building I would, without hesitation. Every employee gives a different answer to the same basic question, leaving every experience frustrating and unresolved.I have called them for the most mundane requests, such as upgrading my cable package or adding a landline. This is not in their representatives wheel house.Avoid Optimum at all costs.

They took my bill from $45.26 to $86.87 without notification that my bill was going up and just charged my credit card. I called them and they told me a $20 promotion was coming off the account and that an additional tariff was being applied to everyone and that I could change to earthlink to avoid the additional charges and that if I wanted to change, they would not charge me for switching. My complaint is that I didn't know about this until my credit card got charged. They said that there is nothing that they can do about the charge. Case closed. I did go to ********* for $60 a month.

If I could give 0 stars, I would I "chatted" with Optimum in November, 2024, to request a continuation of my seasonal suspension (I travel a lot), Optimum replied that my suspension was in effect until March, 2025. I kept a copy of the transcript from this "Chat". But 2 days ago, when I accessed my account to cancel service (I'm moving) I saw a balance of $300+. Yesterday, after being placed on hold several times, the Optimum representative ***** couldn't explain why the seasonal hold was removed. Instead, the *** told me I needed to pay the $300+ balance before cancelling service due to my move. I then asked the Optimum *** if Optimum had contacted me to let me know that what the representative told me in March was incorrect, and that my account was fully active. Optimum replied that they emailed me on November 16, 2024. HOWEVER, when I searched my emails there is NO EMAIL FROM OPTIMUM. I asked Optimum to verify that they had the correct email address and they do have the correct address. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. I was again placed on hold, several times, and eventually the *** told me that there was no supervisor available, and that even if a supervisor was available, they would tell me that I had to pay the full balance of the bill.Because the *** was a bit unpleasant, I called another number at Optimum for help. The 2nd *** managed to reduce my bill by $50 after she reviewed my account. Because I was tired, and frustrated, I just paid the balance (or so I thought) and asked for an email confirming that my service was cancelled. HOWEVER, yesterday I got an email from Optimum stating that I could "pay in installments to get service RESTORED!. I called Optimum again and they told me that I owed more money before service could be cancelled. in tears at this point, I simply paid the balance and pleaded for the cancellation email. Although the email was supposed to arrive today, it is now 2:54PM and still no email.

I called to terminate my tv package on the 13th. The *** continually pushed promotions and I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor. I never got a supervisor. The *** finally canceled it and I returned the boxes same day. I asked for a reference number and was told Optimum does not give reference numbers for calls. Today I got my bill and the service was reinstated. Upon calling I was met with great resistance and wad told I reinstated my service on the 20th. That was a complete falsehood. After persisting that I never did that and logically WHY WOULD I if I returned the equipment??? It took over an hour and l has to speak with a CSR, a supervisor and finally a retention agent. It appears to be resolved and I was told I would have to pay anyway and next month I would receive an appropriate credit. Remains to be seen. I cannot believe they reinstated my service without my knowledge or consent and repeatedly lied. This has to be illegal, I can't imagine this is a legally accepted business practice. ZERO STARS and less if I could
