      The absolute worst company. I closed my account in June 2019, and I received a collections notice in April 2022 in regards to equipment not being returned. The equipment was returned, but since I was unable to provide a receipt from June *********************** returning the equipment they stated I am responsible for the charge. They never tried to contact me prior about the missing equipment just sent it straight to collections. I have been working on getting this resolved for 6 months now with Optimum and with numerous calls with reps and supervisors stating that this happens and they will issue a one time credit nothing got done. I finally reached the escalation **** and that gentleman read off a script and all he could say was the standard statement of this is on our terms and conditions page on the website. I asked him to review the conversations that I had with the previous reps and supervisors because the conversations are recorded and kept for 30 days, and he proceeded to tell me that any misinformation that the reps/supervisors would have told me they would could not honor? Lies, lies, lies. I have made call after call for 6 months and not once have I ever received a call back in the 2-4 hour timeframe. I am actually shocked at the zero accountability that this company has. My warning to anyone is to keep every piece of documentation and receipt you can with this company forever, because after 3 years I am paying for out-dated equipment which I did return to the ***************** in ****************************************** a receipt from 3 years ago I will be punished by them. The famous last words of we turned this over to collections so it is out of our hands now. The absolute worst company and I cant stress enough to record and document all conversations because they are not doing anything on their end except reading from the script. Legally, keeping a receipt of this nature is not required for the 7 year tax period, but it is for Optimum.

      Awful customer service. Waiting 4 months for a team to come and replace the cables in my yard and still no one has showed up. I have calleed at least 30 ****** over this duration and always get passed around to no avail. I have not had consistant internet service at all this year. Goes out ***** times a day. Crazy bad.

      If I could rate them a zero I would! I've had nothing but problems on and off for years but since I got the new fiber optics it's been nothing but a headache! I've had to call numerous times because my tv freezes at night. It seems to be only certain conservative channels I like but more often it's sports too. If I didn't know better I would think I'm being targeted. Who knows. Now they "accidently" shut off my tv for non payment when my balance is zero and the due date didn't even arrive yet! I wish there was another company I could go with!! They are overpriced and overrated!

      We live in *********** **. Optimum has bought out Suddenlink and the service/lack there of is completely unacceptable. We get the run around. We pay for *********** and get half that WHEN IT ACTUALLY WORKS. It is interfering with our jobs all of the outages. I am beyond angry at this point. It reboots your system when you call in. They have 5 business days to fix things. We are paying for service and not getting the service. Oh and they will NOT give you credit until AFTER it has been fixed so then you have to call them again. This is a total nightmare and effecting our jobs. This company needs to have the BBB look into them an action needs to be taken. The complaints in our area is astronomical. They should be deeply ashamed of their company. We need something done NOW!

      Turned in my equipment first week of may 2022. Continues to get bills and was turned into collection. Called and cant talk to customer service. Contacted collection agency and they told me to go into store. I go into store and they tell me to call customer support which I did on the spot and couldnt talk to anyone on the phone. Went back into the store and talked to the lady I was talking to and the gentleman beside her jumped in aggressively and escalated the situation. I calmed him down once and then he got aggressive once again and said I had been in the store causing trouble on the 3rd of this month. I have not been in that store in years and he was lying to make me look like the issue in front of other customers. I called him a (choice word) liar and he kicked me out of the store. I asked for a number and contact for a lawyer to contact and he could not give me info and kicked me out of the store. I havent had any of there equipment or service since may. It is not September and they still will do nothing to help me and have me turned into collection. This place need shut down. I will join any and all law suits against this company. They have no business service any kind of customers. They are fraud. My phone hadnt worked for over 6 month prior to shutting them down and my internet hardly ever worked. Raised prices by almost 50% for no reason. F- is to high of a grade for this company. Cant even give info to take care of anything. Just want to not deal with you and ruin your credit in the process

      Do Not get Optimum service. I canceled my account in July, returned my equipment and they still charged me for 2 more months. I have been with Frontier since July. Trust me find another company. Optimum *****!!

      I have had ******* for over 20 years. There price for cable tv went up over $80/month. I canceled the ** portion of my bill. When speaking with the rep on the phone they said I could get a $5/month discount if I signed up for autopay. I told them I was on autopay for over 20 years-it comes out of my bank the 1st of the month. The rep says we don't see that. I say how can you not see that? So I was coerced into getting autopay. So what happens I am doubled billed. I also told tp manually pay the first month since the autopay wouldn't take affect till the second month. So the month of July I had 3 payments come out of my checking account. The initial auto pay they couldn't see, the manual pay I placed and their auto pay which they said wouldn't take affect till the next month. In short I had to call the bank and have the stop payment for the autopay they couldn't see. So for several months I was in the credit. Now I am payed up but my credited payment which was rejected by the bank the are charging me $20 even though I am payed up. I still have a credit. So for being a loyal and good customer I get screwed and they won't delete the $20 for being a paying loyal customer. So in essence I am being overbilled from their error!! They had no problem holding onto 3 payments for one month as I followed their request. Honesty has sadly not a virtue anymore. They don't deserve the one star.

      ZERO customer service. Unable to contact anyone in regard to cancelling service at a home that has been sold. They give you no option to speak with a representative, live chat a representative, email a representative, or cancel online or through their app. This is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

      A bunch of crooks!!! I had to pay up front for 1 month of internet service before installation and only had 30 minutes of service before the internet went out. Tried trouble shooting with tech support twice to no avail. When tech showed up the next day, found out the line from the utility box to my apartment was damaged and has to be rewired. I work from home three days a week; I don't have time for this. Told me it could take 5 business days to fix. I took their modem back to the store and found out they will not give me my money back because of some **. I am so ******. I had no internet service and they wouldn't give me my money back. Don't waste your time!

      Optimum internet purchased suddenlink. Both are equally horrible. After three hours on the phone being transferred from billing to retention every person I spoke gave me different conflicting information. I was finally canceled and credited for my last bill. Even though it is Sept and the last time I had service was late March. Nothing was documented about the credit I was supposed to receive due to no service. I paid for three months of internet I did not receive.
