      Tried for 1 1/2 months to get service. First tech came out and stated the install could not be done at that time because a line needed to be ran & buried. A month later this was done by contractors who dug up my yard, ran a line, and did not fill the hole back up. So, I have this hole left by them. I called them to ask about this and was told that they do not fill in the holes that they dig up to bury the line. They did not install a PED for the fiber line, but instead curled it up and just dropped it in the hole.I have never been told I have an appointment, but instead they just show up to do work. After 7 techs coming out to install this I not had this done. I called to find out my account was cancelled by the last technician because a PED was needed to provide service after they dug in my yard and ran the line to my house, screwed a box onto my house, and just left - again not providing any updates. I asked when this PED was going to be installed and they could not provide an update. Instead the agent said she would just get someone else to call me back to discuss my account being cancelled. I was told I have a **** for $2300 for the service that had not even been installed. Very unhappy with this company as they do not provide updates, have techs that do not notice missing PEDs on first visit, dig up yard, and just do not show the caring needed for the customer.

      Bought out local company and the problems started. Supposedly I have 200mpbs and can't even stream TV. Never had this problem before. Have had techs out, changed modem still no internet and they raised the price!

      Early in July I called to cancel my cable and internet service because every month the **** is higher. The representative who assisted me gave ma a lower price for cable and internet with the condition I purchase a cell phone for $5 a month for 12 months with international calls. After I connected the phone I found out by the representative who assisted me that my pan does not have international calls like she promised me. I called to complaint to find out that my plant not only does not have international calls by it is not for $5 nor has international calls but my plan is for $22 a month! I filed a complaint with Altice, I call every day and they have not resolved my case. They offered me only 3 months of free international calls which I did not accept because this is not what I purchased. If I cancel the service they want to charge me $50 for re stocking fees. I wan them to give me the service I purchased for $5 a month for 12 months with international calls or allow me to return the phone without paying re-stocking fee and refund me for the $32 I paid to connect the phone. Be careful with this company. They sell you a service which you will never get!!! I won't stop calling them until they give me the service I purchased.!!!

      I would give a zero start review if possible.Optimum continues to have an appalling service record. I now have 5 locations and have switched to **** where possible. Where I can't, I have irregular service and a ridiculous service bureaucracy that keeps you on hold for hours, makes you wait for technicians that don't show or show up knowing less about DSL service than I do. It's my opinion that Optimum is throttling upload and download speeds on customers account and hoping that we don't notice. When I've called about not receiving speeds that I pay for, they obfuscate and send more technicians. This is either a software bug on at the *** level or a systemic system of providing less service than I've paid. I can not recommend anyone use Optimum, EVER, if they don't have to. They are a bloated monopoly which feeds on it's customers. Please use a different *** if you can.

      I have absolutely no idea how Suddenlink is still in business! Their customer service is non-existent! Three scheduled appointments - 3 no shows! We work from home and cant do that without working and reliable internet. Called and spoke to numerous managers - all read the exact same script we do apologize for your inconvenience.however...Been without service for 4 days now. This is 2022.not 1998!!! Unacceptable when most things can be resolved remotely. For times when it cant (like this issue) - same day service is the standard from most reputable companies. Goes to show you that Suddenlink business model is to scam as many folks as they can for as long as they can!First company in the neighborhood.so they currently have a monopolyand they know it. They will get dumped as soon as another ISP services my area. Unacceptable - do better!!!!

      I tried to call and cancel my service. The service representative argued with me for over 20 minutes. I told him over and over again that under no circumstances was I willing to keep my service, but he refused to disconnect me. He just kept offering me deals that I repeatedly denied and argued that my new **************** will not work (despite my having it up and running for 3 weeks). I demanded that my service be cancelled over 30 times. I explained to him over and over again that I have every right to cancel my service for any reason. He then hung up on me. I called back and had to argue with another representative for 5 more minutes. Then, I had to be connected to a new department in order to finalize my disconnection. Once there, I had to argue for another 15 minutes with the disconnection department. The representative would not allow me to speak with a manager and no matter how many times I told him I just wanted to cancel, he continued to provide me with additional offers. He said it is his job to just continue offering me better and better deals before I will be allowed to cancel. And the worst part is, they cannot even provide me with the speeds I paid for the past 10 years. My entire neighborhood cannot get reliable service due to a severely degraded line on our street.

      After months of having slow service to outages. I called and requested a manager and was advised that there was no need to speak to a manager. Finally I was on hold for a manager for 20 minutes then the call was disconnected. I called back and spoke to another agent and I explained that with all the outages I was in danger of loosing my job because I work from home and requested to speak to a manger. I was told that maybe I should go to a friends house and work! Which was crazy because Im paying Suddenlink for their services! Again I was promised a manager and the call was transferred to a department that couldnt help. At that point I gave up and found a new provider. I called on 7/27/2022 and requested to cancel my service and was advised that I couldnt cancel my service until the end of my billing cycle which is 8/23/2022. So I explained that the equipment is no longer connected to my home and was ready to be shipped and it was unfair to make me pay for services that I would not be using. I was transferred to the retention department and was promised a credit to my **** for the outages and three months free. I declined and he advised that my **** was 400 dollars with no credit for the outages or anything so basically Im being billed for three months of services! I have no problem paying for services that I used but not for services that I am not!

      I don't think Suddenlink deserves any starts. I have been asking Suddenlink for years to stop sending postal advertising mail. They ignore my request and continue to send junk mail and waste trees. Today a Suddenlink employee knocked on the door asking for address "verification" and trying to sell Suddenlink service. I consider Suddenlink's behavior harassment. I just want them to leave us alone.

      Terrible service! **************** is useless and we are on day 10 of reschedules just to get the initial internet service installed. Many issues are due to negligence and poor communication. There is a lack of responsibility and following up. The only reason we are still trying to get services with this company is because this is the ONLY service available with decent speeds in the area.

      We have recently moved to East ***** and we thrilled with the chance to have fiber optic. WE have NEVER seen outages with any other provider as we have with Suddenlink! It is very difficult to work from home with no service and NO human to talk to for answers! Its deplorable.
