      I been having major upload speed drops since 11/24. I had two techs show online, First one didn't see any issues and blame my equipment and didn't know the different between internet and the equipment and claims to worked for Optimum for 10 years.Second tech arrived onsite and left with 2 minutes as he couldn't fix the problem and acknowledge the network node is probably overloaded/saturated at night.Third time, I reached out to Optimum on Reddit and they see a signal issue at the times I been complaining but nothing been done. This has been the worst experience in over a decade I have had with Optimum support and the issue.

      Not only does Optimum lie and continue to raise their lifetime rates, I have never had a more infuriating experience in my life trying to disconnect service with any company. Im still waiting till the end of the month to find out if they actually cut it off. I think their business practices are intentionally deceptive if not fraudulent and should not be allowed to keep providing service in our area for what its worth.

      I had Optimum Internet for about 10 years. It was the only option for a long time in our small town. The customer service was rude, difficult, hard to communicate with and would basically read off a script instead of having an actual conversation with me. They constantly tried to raise my rate and then said it was due to a promotional discount falling off. They never mentioned a promotional discount when I signed up. The service worked well for a couple years, but after that it would constantly come in and out. Even though I paid for the highest package, I had to turn off other wifi electronics to stream movies or work on my laptop. When I was finally able to cancel, they kept ignoring my cancellation request on the phone and instead tried to upsell me. It took 30 minutes to cancel. And you can only cancel by phone. I also cancelled before the next billing period, but they charged me for a month of service I wasn't going be able to use, because they require you to send the wifi box back before the billing period ends! I don't understand how that is legal? I understand if I was using the service, but they shut it off. And instead of explaining it to me, the CSR kept reading nonsense from a script. I don't recommend Optimum at all!!! Please don't put yourself in a bad situation with this company.

      As you can see from the rating, do not use this company. Internet service was awful. Outages were constant. After 1 year I cancelled. Tmobile home internet became available, love it. Cancelling was almost impossible. kept me on hold for over 1 hour. sent equipment back immediately. company wanted me to pay over $200 as final bill even though i sent equipment back. took months to close. ultimately, final bill was $53. $43 for last month of service which i understand, but charged me $10 late fee. they never sent an accurate bill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. recommend tmobile or *******.

      I signed up for ******* in March 2024 and was promised a $200 **** *** gift card after meeting the requirements of no late payments and 90 days of service. After six months, I’ve repeatedly contacted ******* and been given the runaround. A representative initially claimed I lost eligibility for the gift card after switching to my own modem, despite doing so after meeting the 90-day requirement. On November 19, I canceled due to fiber internet availability and my frustration over the missing gift card. A retention rep confirmed the gift card balance was still $200 and promised it would be reissued in 10 days, but I’ve received no follow-up. Despite multiple calls and chats, I have not received the card, nor can I find any evidence of the claimed June 6 email. I just want my $200 gift card as promised. I should have received a $200 gift card when signing up with ******* owned by Altice

      These are charlatans and fraudsters! My husband tried to set up streaming TV ONLY and got a used car salesman quality sales pitch for internet and cellular service. He firmly stated he ONLY wanted TV. They set him up, charging $60/mo for their "boxes" in addition to the $50 service fee. Next thing he knows, he's getting internet modems shipped and charged $15 for the service he specifically declined!! Charges would start before he even had a chance to connect said modems, even if we wanted them, which we DON'T!!! When calling to cancel the order, the *** again tried to sell me on their internet. We will NEVER do business with them! Small wonder they have an "F" rating!!! STAY AWAY! Put them OUT OF BUSINESS FOREVER!!

      We pay for 1GB internet and our download test shows 2.8mbps. Absolutely ridiculous. They cheat. Very bad business. They should never charge us for 1 . Gb Internet is extremely slow. Our Hulu and other paid channels cannot be played because the internet is so slow that is constantly buffering.

      I think that your internet company Optimum needs to let a customer shut off their internet services anytime that they want and not have to wait until the end of the billing cycle. I am selling my house on Dec. 9th and they are telling me I have to leave the service on and pay for it until Jan. 2nd. I NEED THE SERVICE TURNED OFF NOW SO I CAN SELL MY HOUSE. This in the most trouble i have ever had with a service provider. I would give them a 0 star if it was possible. I will definitely tell everyone that I know not to use them.

      I spoke with a *** to confirm payment, she said the payment was successful & provided me with a confirmation number. Two weeks later they disconnected my service & doubled the past due amount for nonpayment. I called 4 times in one day to restore my services and the 5th *** said they had no recollection of the previous calls. I was made to pay that double past due amount with not even so much as an apology for Optimums mistake. The initial *** was extremely rude and talked over me until she placed me on mute, not hold, for 41 minutes then finally hung up on me.

      Worst company will not respond back called many times kept charging an expired credit card I am now with a collection agency and still no one responds back. They have ruined my credit. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone.
