I have been a mediacom customer for several years. I have never been given access to my account with numerous calls to them. I was told I owed nothing no other information. On 12-18-23 when talking with customer service I asked my balance she said "You do not have a balance" I asked if there was a credit, "that is weird she replied" what is weird? You have a ******* credit. I was so upset that in all my calls no one told me I had a credit. I have cancelled my subscription and called over 10 time. I have yet to get my credit. I do not know what to do at this point.Note*I would leave 0 star rating if I was able

The price goes up constantly. Just went up $20 more per month about a month ago for ours. Now at $182+ for basic plus extended basic, ridiculous. Over 200 channels of basically nothing. Regional Sports network surcharge and ******** station surcharge. There is no way to opt out of these. To me there should be. They advertise on about every cable channel there is, constantly at times. We're all paying for this advertising as subscribers in the monthly fee, we must be because that's where their revenue comes from. What is the benefit to subscribers? If they were to gain a bunch of business would that lower the monthly bill? I would have serious doubts about that. They're becoming just another bloated utility/service provider.

My business begin with Mediacom in 2006. In 2023 the building we were located in Sold and we had to relocate, just a few miles away. When I got my first bill (with a new account #) I was SHOCKED to say the least!! My bill had was over ****** for one month and over ****** from my previous monthly bills. So thinking there was a possbile 'MISTAKE" I contacted Mediacom and expressed my concern. I was told it was a NEW account....and new rates applied since we had relocated. They REFUSED to make any adjustment even when I told I only wanted and needed 2 phone lines (not 3 like we had had) and that I DID NOT want or NEED TV. They refused to remove the additonal services UNTIL I paid my bill. I REFUSED to pay for something I DIDN'T want or need and HOPE Mediacom would adjust my following months bill!! Medicaom has determined it financially 'BENEFICIAL to financially **** customers especially in more remote areas where my business is located, and the customer complaints have 'SKY ROCKETE" in Lake County & more and more businesses and customers are finding other ways fo have internet, phone and TV services. Medicacom's reputation has declined SIGNIFICANTLY. i I've made my changes and SO happy I DID and I pay ALLOT LESS for better service....From almost ****** per month to approximately ****** per month. I'll also consider my outstanding bill with Mediacom ($1868.94) as a very generous Christmas present !!

I live in ******** ******** and this is my story about Mediacom. Bought a house in 2016 in ******** ******** city limits. I purchased Mediacom for my Internet I couldnt believe how many times my Internet kept cutting off, not working, etc. I called them. They had a technician come out over a two week. Period. They came out so many times and told me that they had over 900 errors which is crazy! Someone higher up, gave me all my money back and said they would work on it. The only other Internet provider is CenturyLink/Brightspeed now the highest Internet they have in my neighborhood is 40 **** Which is crazy because it is 2023! 40 *** dont really do a lot especially when Internet is needed for streaming TV shows gaming to school homework and security cameras. Well 7 years later the same thing I see Mediacom workers working on the lines I asked him questions is the Internet running correctly they tell me no because the main box is blocks away. But Mediacom obviously is not trying to fix the situation which upsets a lot of people in my neighborhood because all we want is good Internet and they wont let anyone else provide to us. Not even fiber optic. Ive talked to neighbors and they say the same things just dont understand in 2023 Internet is essential, especially good steady performance Internet. I talked to a Mediacom customer service agent earlier today. I know its not their fault but I was trying to reach someone that can resolve our really listen to the problems that Im having in this neighborhood.after talking to them and telling them everything Ive been through. They hung up and did not call me back. Where is the great customer service?

In my opinion, Mediacom appears to deliberately engage in fraud. Why this hasn't been stopped by now is beyond me. You cannot get a simple answer to a question about available services. If you ask for one thing, you don't get an answer, you get another promotion. I recently asked (for the second time) that my landline phone service be removed because I haven't used a landline for years. I even had the actual line removed from the property. The first time I asked, I was told it couldn't be removed because it was part of my plan. This time they did remove it. BUT, they added another service without my knowledge or my permission. They added EERO/WiFi360. For many people this might be great. I don't need or want it. I already returned WiFi360 once. But this time I wasn't even told it was being added. I received the box in the mail and an email instructing me to have it installed. Because I was told it was a FREE service, I thought "what the hell" so I let them install it. But guess what - you have to create an account with their provider and that provider wants your credit card number - for a FREE SERVICE. Why would anyone need my credit card number for a free service? I just filed a complaint with the BBB about this and will be requesting for the third time removal of EERO from my service. I've asked whether it is not possible to simply have basic internet service with no add-ons, but I can't get an answer. All I've gotten is a further reduction in my cost due to what I firmly believe is a fabricated "promotion". I'm still stuck with EERO. I expect my internet service to fail shortly because I have no plans to complete the account set-up by giving them my credit card number.

Mediacom customer service is absolutely horrible. They do not listen, including supervisors. The level2 supervisor, *****, told me today, when i called about our neighborhood has had terrible internet service for the last month and being taken down on purpose every day for the last week, that it is my out dated modem and they will disable my modem any day now with zero notice and there is no one that i can talk to that will give me a date. She said there is nothing that can be done about taking the community internet down daily for maintenance and they arent going to work around our work schedule. Said many people leave mediacom but just come right back. Also told me it is not possible to talk to anyone above her and nothing i can do about any of this, except upgrade my modem and Im just trying to prolong things by asking for someone who could tell me a date that they plan to shut down my modem. I am beside myself and in disbelief about how Ive been treated as a customer of over 12 years.

I am moving so I called Mediacom and had them disconnect my service. I sent my eero equipment back in the mail and was having trouble with the modem so I took it directly to the Mediacom office. I handed the lady at the counter the modem she told me my final balance and I authorized her to bill my account. A few days later I got billed for another full month of internet so I called again and they said they had no record of my return of the modem that I handed to the lady at the Mediacom office and that my direct bill was not stopped. So the lady assured me that she would stop my direct bill and that she would mail me a check for the money they took from me. Anyways Im so stressed out moving and this has just added so much stress to my move and now Im out $118 while I wait for my check to come back. Meanwhile I have to pay another internet bill for my new service. And I still dont trust that my service has been turned off. What a nightmare this should not be so hard.

Horrible service. Living in a rural area, having this company is almost the only option. The Internet is not as fast as they claim it to be. There's outages happen constantly. Price increases almost monthly. It's absolutely ridiculous and criminal.

Pitiful excuse for home internet. The WiFi goes down constantly. Each time I call I get a different assessment of the outage. Ive had 6 different technicians come out to my home. Its our box at the street. or Weve found the problem to be in your modem. and Our systems are currently updating, so you may see short outages until we have completed our update. and finally, a truthful response: I have absolutely no idea why you keep experiencing these outages. As many calls as I have made just to get my service up and running, I think I have now met every employee of Mediacom.
