I ended service in 10/7/2023 because I was trying to sell my home. I was told I would be owed a refund of $49.88 and I would receive a check in the mail in 4-5 business days. A week later I received a bill for the full amount so I called the billing department. They said not to worry about to bill. I again asked about the refund, this time they said I would get the check in 4-6 weeks.Fast forward to today, 10/25/2023. The house sell fell through. I attempted to reactive my internet with MediaCom. They said there would be a $49 reinstatement fee, I understand that there would be a fee, but it was a weird coincidence that the price was nearly exactly the same as what they owed me as a refund. They also quoted me $148.99 a month for service moving forward. This is for their 1 gig internet download speed package. I thought this was strange because I was paying $115.12 a month before. On top of that, I qualify for *** and have been verified with the government. I had applied with MediaCom prior to disconnecting service, but they never added the discount to my account. So I was paying $115.12 without the *** $30 discount. The representative I spoke with said I would have to call their *** department to get my *** reinstated during their business hours. However, they were never giving me that $30 off for *** so it would not be a reinstatement. So, Im conclusion, the new price would be $118.99 with the $30 *** discount, but I am was paying $115.12 without that discount before. Both of these pricing points include rental fees for the modem, I believe it was around $12 a month. Based on this information, I believe this company is taking advantage of ***. I will not be reinstating internet with this companies and have received quotes from other local companies for $61 per month for the same speeds with *** discount.

I' read some people say they'd give a 1 if they could. I'd give a ZERO. I have no internet and have not had any internet for over a month now. They are trying to tell me I have to wait another month before I can have my service. I had internet at my location, left, disconnected it and 2 months later came back and then a line had to be buried for me to have internet. "It's out of our hands" is what I get as a response to my phone calls. The reality is You, Medica.com, provide the service of internet. So therefore, it is out of your hands. You hire the contractors, you deal with the financials, you create the customer service, you Are the company. Therefore, it is every bit your responsibility and in your hands to make things happen. If I had other services I could go with that were within reason I would. This will be the 3rd time it will be "escalated". I can't further explain my frustration and how absolutely unacceptable this experience has all been. There's been many more details that I won't have the time or word count to explain. All around I Hate Medicacom and will not recommend this company to Anyone Ever.

Was finally able to get another provider in my area after 11 years of Mediacom's garbage. I cancelled the service in September 2023. Was told they would disconnect and refund my money within 7 days. Here I am in October getting charged another FULL MONTH for internet that I was told had been disconnected! Upon contacting them they said they hadn't gotten around to disconnecting my internet yet so I would be expected to pay despite the fact that they are the ones responsible! Imagine expecting someone else to pay for your incompetence and inefficiency. The audacity of this company is just unrivaled.

Requested service on or about 9/20/23 paid for it and waited for service. Service was never completed and I request return of my money. Have called over 4 times and requested a confirmation of money to be refunded to me. Still no money or confirmation just promises over the phone. Every conversation is "we will refund your money in full in 3 days just check you bank for it". As of 10/10/23 no refund at all. This company is a thief and took my money which I gave them in person at their office and can't get it back. I am 81 years old and find this UNACCEPTABLE. Please just return my money IN FULL.

I would give 1 if I could. I work from home so this is critical for me. In August our service was in and out non stop for the month, multiple calls with same resolution to reset the modem, multiple techs came out and each said something different and within a day it was back out again. Finally they replaced my modem and said with their upgrade to 10g I had the wrong modem. That seemed to work for about 3-4 weeks and now were in the same situation. On and off for 5 days now tech came today and said it was at the pole and someone would be out by end of day. I just called to check status and he mumbled I dont know maybe a couple more hours. I give up! Do not recommend

I'm a Mediacom business customer. I signed up 6 months ago for $400/month with the guarantee if I lost service they would have a tech here in 4 hours. It has gone out 6 different times in 4 months. Not once was anyone here within a whole day. A new fiber optic service came in a month ago with no contract and outstanding service, so we hooked up. Mediacom wants to charge me $5300 for a disconnect fee. I've never seen service, dishonesty on what they provide, and misrepresentation on a business ever. My business provides everything off the internet. There was always excuses and always someone fixing a box outside. Beware of what you signup for.

I have continually reached out to customer service for help with our ongoing internet problem. I continue to troubleshoot multiple times a day and they continue to tell me well I see it is on now only to go out 10 minutes later. I have asked for a new modem to be sent but they refuse. I have been told I have to wait almost 3 weeks for a tech to come help all while I continue to pay my bill. Please if you have another option take it.

If I could give 0 stars I would we have had no internet for 3 weeks due to the storm. Called today and was told they completed work on the 18th and I need a technician to come out and see why it isn't work so I set up an appointment and am told I am getting an 85 credit since I haven't had service all month. ( which I had been told about my September bill but they charged me the full amount. So I call to see if my credit was applied for October and it says I owe them 85 dollars still for October. When I call once again I am assured they will credit my account but refuse to send it to me in writing. My husband works from home on the internet and we are loosing now a whole months pay for him and they are charging me for service I never got. Will be pursuing legal action of need be.

Terrible. They say they dont update firmware but you can find a download ********** what modems they support and update. Lied right to me about asking supervisor and then sent me to someone's voice-mail saying it was their supervisor. On top of that, one of the representatives attached a wifi network in their system to my modem. It's just a modem you idiots. What are you training them???I'm done and will be finding a different internet service.
