Horrible customer service - We had trenching done around our house. MediaCom was called out to **** wires before digging began. They did not **** the wires properly and several were cut during digging. We called them out and they ran temporary wires, which they said they would replace with permanent wires and then they would bury them. A FULL YEAR has gone by, and we still have above-ground temporary wires running through our back yard. We keep calling and explaining the situation to someone in a call center who recites pre-written lines. They have sent out multiple technicians to look at the wires - one tech claimed the wires were 3rd party and canceled our ticket with no communication to us. Another tech was supposed to put in a request to bury the lines- I called MediaCom and there was no record of the request being put in. Most recently, were told it would be a 2 YEAR wait for wire burial. Sick to my stomach that they can get away with these things and still make money.

Called customer service to verify a bill. Was calling for someone else but they were standing next to me and phone was on speaker. ****(customer service representative) was hung up on unrelative questions and not listening to what I was explaining. Asked to speak to a supervisor after about 10 minutes of going around in circles. About 20 minutes later, after repeatedly asking for a supervisor, he finally wanted to transfer me to the billing ***** which is what should have been done a lot earlier. I still wished to speak to a supervisor and said so. After repeating this request numerous times, **** stated that a supervisor would not speak to me. II requested the name of the supervisor that said they would not speak to me. this went back and forth for another 10 minutes or so. Finally ******* came on the line. She apologized and listened to what had transpired . The issue was resolved in under 2 minutes. I hope she was sincere but realize she was probably blowing smoke. **************** should listen to people, we all are not idiots. I feel **** had a check list in front of him and felt it was written in stone. I don't expect everyone to know everything but ask for help if you don't know and always tell the customer the truth. As for a rating 1 star is way higher them what i would give them on this issue.

I have had so many issues with Mediacom I've lost count. The issue that is the final straw is their shady bill pay practices. I had to replace a card that was compromised about 4ish months ago, re-signed up for auto bill pay to get rid of the hassle of remembering all the due dates, and then I received a notice that all my payments are late and that my service is shut down temporarily. I paid the first astounding bill and it was reinstituted. I just had a chat with a customer service representative and they said that the auto pay billing does not activate until after the 3rd billing period. I asked if that is stated somewhere when signing up for bill pay, they said it is not mentioned on the customer side. This is so shady, just so they can collect extra money in fees. This is predatory behavior. I will be searching for better companies in the future and researching the legality of this kind of practice.

Had our Cable and ************* termed due to High Price and no discounts offered. Asked to keep internet but wanted high speed along with eero and they sent it to me in the mail with what they thought we great instructions. Ended up having to call them as the USED eeros they sent me were not released for me to set them up. Then after we finally got them set up called Mediacom to cancel cable and phone and told them old phone number to my mediacom account no longer valid due to shutting off the phone with mediacom. Gave my new number and they said they would update it on my account. So checked my account and unable to get in as the only number they can send an athenication code to is my phone number that was shut off thru mediacom. So called tech support and customer service and they both have my new number on file however cant update it on my account in order to get code sent to my phone so I can see my account. Told me I have to come into local office 65 miles from me with valid Id to get it changed. Also I originally asked for high speed internet and when they got it set up didnt put on high speed so they changed that after I called back for 3 rd time. I was able to provide them with both phone number ssn# along with acct # and pin# still wont change the number to correct number. Must go to their office to get it changed! I even asked if they could send code to my email vs phone number they have in file. They told me no. Beware that if you are shutting off phone with mediacom update new number on account as primary number before shutting off. I feel they should pay my gas to drive 65 miles to update my account primary number. Also had I not asked if internet was update to high speed I would still have been on low service. Been a customer since 2014 and this is service I get. Very disappointed in Mediacom

Worst internet provider. Constant outages and high prices. Do not use them. Save the headaches.

Mediacom was supposed to come out to my house to set up my service that I have already paid for on Wednesday September 6th. They did not show up nor call to explain why. I got an email later on that said the appointment was rescheduled. I called and got no explanation. They rescheduled for today, Friday September 8th. Again no show. No rescheduled appointment even. I called the company and they said they had to reschedule and want to make the appointment for September 18th! That is almost 2 weeks from the original set up date. I am angry because I have paid for my first months service already because I had to in order to place the order and I've been staring at their equipment which was shipped to me a week ago and can do nothing with it. This is ridiculous and of there was ANY other internet option in the town I moved to, I would cancel and get my money back. I am not happy with this business in any way at this point.

Completely disgusting. Internet NEVER works and neither do the people. When they have to make a house call they will call and tell you they are on the way and cancel the appt. My kids need internet for school and this company completely makes me sick to my stomach. It is ran by a bunch of ignorant and VERY LAZY people.

Mediacom is raising prices and you can be a faithful client with no money owed and they still want to s**** you! Had to argue with a service man that I didnt want to upgrade and waste more time and lose money cause I was suppose to be at work because they have the time slots that they have

Beware mediacom billing, I have been billed numerous times. I had another trouble call in for Mediacoms 1 gig service, that turned into up to 1Gig, that turned into 80 percent of a gig, that has turned into 70 percent of a gig expected...which I do not get.The technician arrived, replaced two pieces of hardware inside the box (outside) and ordered that the cap be replaced at the street. The service technician coded the account as a charge, had I not looked at my bill, I would have been charged.Worst reliability of internet I've ever seen and I have lived all over *****************. Horrible communication between trouble calls and the service technicians that come out to your home.Beware your bills from Mediacom....Guess I, like my neighbors, will have to go to ATT fiber.Very disappointed.

Ordered internet hook up. They charge for equipment so I explicitly said that I would use my own *************** Despite this they order routers for us. When the technician arrived, had a set of routers and said that he was required by the company to leave them with us and that we have to either mail them back or drive them in. Of course they will not pay for you to return them. Called customer service and they confirmed that I would be charged for the routers until I return them. This is outright fraud. On top of that, they have a policy that if you miss one call from the technician during the 2-hour window they give you, that you are automatically rescheduled. I currently live out of state (trying to set up internet in the home we are moving to, which I need for work). My mother drove >2 hours to be there. I missed the call because I had to deal with my sick infant. Returned the call within 6 minutes, no answer. I tried calling back the technician 6 times all within the duration of the 2-hour window, no response. Nobody told me that I would be rescheduled or what that time would be. I call in and complain, they then said they would reschedule me, but did not tell me when. Only after I call in a 2nd time do they tell me that it was anytime that day from 8AM to 8PM. When I complain, the operator hung up on me. I call back in, was told it would be 5-5:45PM, I ask to talk to a manager. The manager then proceeds to tell me "its our policy". Then they told me it would be 2:30-3:15PM, then told me again later it would be 4:30PM. What kind of customer service is this?
