Intermittent-net not internet. Mediacom is a second or third tier service misrepresenting their product. Insane fast in bursts, and ONLY in bursts. A minimum of 20 dropped connections daily, total loss for up to 20 minutes, this is after a tech came out and "balanced" ************* of coaxial cable. Not usable for anything serious.Overall score: Streaming HBO-D, Video chat-F. Sending a live stream - forget it. Support follow up? NO. Intermittent-net.

I haven't had internet access in four months. Every time they've sent out a technician, the problem never got resolved. They were supposed to send someone out a week ago to replace the line, and they never did. I've had to use my phone for internet access, and it's preventing me from finding a job due to how much it goes out and how inconsistent it is. If they weren't the only ISP in my area, I would've switched. It's ludicrous that they would make us pay almost 100 a month for a service we can't even use. Not to mention the fact that when you sign up for their service, you can't even access the router settings to port forward for specific games to work via multiplayer, you can't go in and try to update the firmware, and you can't even adjust the settings for your router (like the wifi password) unless you go through them, because the login info is something only they have. They have one more month to fix our internet before I file a complaint with the **** Avoid Mediacom like it's the plague, it's not worth your time or money

After our wifi was installed there was a 4ft scratch left in the floor of our brand new house. A guy came out to take pictures and file a claim and said it would be 2 business days to head back. Its been about 3 weeks now. Tried contacting Mediacom 4 different times and wait on hold for at least an hour each time. They would not give me a direct line to the ******************* I called the guy that came out and never received a call back. Still have not got to a determination on what happen with our claim.

When I cancelled service they charged me for the next two months. After an hour 9n the phone they tell me that is just how it is. After always having problems when I had the service, this is a bad choice for any service.

We had an outage today starting at 12:10. I work from home since my company closed the office and told everyone we need to work from home in DEC of 2021. When the outage occurred, we called Mediacom to find out when it will be resolved. We were told 3:00pm. At 3:20, we called again since it was still down, they told us 3:30. At 4:00, we called a third time and they said 5:00. at just after 5:00. we called again and they told ** 8:00. Here it is 10:00. The internet and cable did come back online at 6:30, but it is so slow, it took me 15 minutes to get to this site. I lose $274 a day when the internet is down, much higher than my billing with Mediacom. They have a monopoly on high speed internet in this area and treat ** like dirt. PLEASE IMON, come into this neighborhood so I can say So long to Mediacom!

If possible I would give zero stars. Terrible customer service, no information on when scheduled outages will occur, no explanation on bills and what the charges are actually for. If I had another option I would cancel and leave immediately. Not sure how corporate can just let this slide so consistently.

Worst company ever.. Was a customer for many years.. After canceling service I took my router to the local office and turned in as instructed to do so. After that received a notice that I own $139 for not returning the router. Spoke to at least 5 individuals and even returned to the office with my receipt where I returned the router.. Each time was told it was taken care of.. **** today I learn they reported the $139 on my credit report. Terrible company and dismal customer service..,

The service was horrible from day one. We would have internet during the evening - then in the morning there was issues with the internet, we would have to restart our modem 3-5 times in order for it to finally hold onto the signal. I would call in to see if there was any issues with the service - I was always just told to restart the modem. I called in quite frequently - at the VERY least once a month, but this last month - I have called them 20 times. They never once offered to send out a technician - even though the customer service rep said it could be the wiring or the hardware. I demanded them send out a technician. The technician that was supposed to come out called and just asked how many devices I have connected - I told him (a total of 15 items) he told me that the modem can only support 6 devices and that was my issues - I was bogging down my internet. But I told him it's not just slow, it's non existent and can't connect to the internet, and he insisted that it was due to the devices and the only fix was to go and buy a WIFI 6 router. So I did - problem only got worse. Called back Mediacom and they sent out ANOTHER technician who actually came to my house and told me that the modem was bad. Replaced the modem and haven't had any issues. We are moving and will be switching to a new provider - this was way too difficult to get a fix on a service that is more than $100/mo. If they didn't have a monopoly in the area - I would have switched a long time ago. They need competition to better their business and customer service. It feels like when you call and complain they just brush you off - because what other options do you have?

Mediacom continues to try to bill me after cancelling by phone and internet, paying my final bill, and returning all equipment. They run a scam with their "data cap" in order to make you buy their premium internet package because you end up being charged high extra charges for going over the data limit which can easily be done if you stream 2 or more TV's at the same time, use the internet often, or stream internet long hours at home. **************** is rude and not willing to work with you when you call. Buyer beware!
