*** lived in 4 different cites because of work in the past 13 years, HANDS DOWN the worth cable internet service and customer service ive ever dealt with. Continuous disconnects for months now. (no other cable options) Already missed 5 days of work, and still havent fixed issues of slow speeds and disconnects. Pay for *********** lucky if it ever breaks 120mbs, usually hovers around ******. Cannot work online cad programs or even play games.

Horrible customer servicecalled them about missing stations and after 2 1/2 hours with tech and 2 other techs, found out there was a problem thru dispatch. That should have been first checking point! Now I changed the checking account for the payment to come out of for autopay and they took out of old checking account. Spent over 30 minutes on phone with billing department and a supervisor ( and repeated what I had trouble with at least 5 times); they couldnt figure out why this happened! If they dont even know where their bills are being paid from, system is pathetic at best. Will be finding a vendor that provides GOOD customer service!,,

Mediacom is seriously the worst company out there. Their customer service is terrible. I cancelled ********************** and continued getting charged for more than 2 months after speaking with MANY customer service reps online and on the phone and IN PERSON. Their internet is TERRIBLE. It goes out frequently, even when we have the highest available speed/plan, which is $142 dollars a month might I add (just for internet). A rip off! They only have windows of 4-5 hour service appointments available, and you have to wait days to get an appointment. This is very inconvenient considering our internet BARELY works. Cannot even get on a zoom call without it cutting out a couple times. Mediacom is the only internet provider in my area. I want to move because they are so bad, and I have no other options here (besides maybe....a satellite????).

I would give -1 star if I could! Monday (23Jan) I watched as a Mediacom truck went up to the connection from power pole to my house. As soon as he started lowering the bucket, guess what? NO INTERNET. My bill was paid, I contacted customer support Monday night, they said I didn't need to schedule an appointment and that it would most likely come back. It did not. I called again Tuesday (24Jan), to which that representative was confused as to why the 1st did not make an appointment once I explained the situation AGAIN. Today (25Jan) I called 3 separate times and got 3 different explanations as to why my internet was down. At first it was because I "didn't pay my bill" but I had the Mediacom app up as I watched the technician cut my internet. The 2nd time I called, they said that a truck that was not theirs, cut the line. 3rd time I tried the text support and they told me it was the Router and Modem not communicating. Im not an idiot and understand how a modem and router communicate and how to fix that issue. After speaking with a supervisor who again could not really detail what happened, I was told again that I would be compensated for the days I didn't have internet? How noble of this great company to not charge me for the service they disrupted for days and IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ONLINE EXAM FOR SCHOOL. Horrible customer support, no support for a disabled veteran that would prefer to study from home in a chair that doesn't hurt. I get making a mistake, but having no information for a customer as to why an issue occurred is an issue. If you'd like to go back to the ********** INTERNET days, pick this company first!

Only giving a star because they have to have atlease one to post this, however they get no stars from me. Over 90% of the year and a half I had their service it didnt work right, was constantly going down, and when i got techs out to the house after requesting one several tikes they claimed all was good. Then the big issue with them, one of their techs removed equipment from my home that was not needed for the service I was using and said he would take it to the office. Apparently they never made it there and now after being told that they had removed them from my account, I have been sent to collections for 150 bucks because their tech failed to do his job. This is a company out for money with s*** service that doesnt work, and believes that their s**** up is the customers fault. Save yourself the hassle, I will go without internet before I ever use this bottom of the barrel trash company again. 500% do not recommend, unless you want to get screwed over and your money stolen.

This is a terrible company. You get told one price when you order and pay and then get an email with the fees they never tell you about. The customer is ridiculous. I want to know why it's ok to lie and not give the prices you actually charge and this is the second time in 2 months I tried to order. The first time they made fun or me because I wanted to know why it was so expensive. She laughed and said it sounds like you can't afford it. I can't afford the hidden fees. I then canceled it and had to call back 3 different times to actually understand the words I was saying... and it took 2 weeks to get a refund because they said i had equipment. The were never even at my place so how would i have gotten their equipment. Got a post card ***** a month with free installation. I specifically asked when i called if that was true he said yes. Charged me the promotion fee that i paid over th3 phone. Later in the eveing i get an emails saying i still owe 120 for installation. I called and asked why and he said because it was only free if you order online. I said I told the guy in the morning I tried. And he said there was no installation fee and I said even if I misread it... I still asked first and he said no and you're still telling me because I ordered over the phone I still have an installation fee. This is a scam. The people aren't even in ******* and he tells me when I canceled well no one would be in the area the day it was scheduled I said the. WHy would anyone set up an appointment. This place is a nightmare. It doesn't matter what you try to get... there will be an email of a huge price you never expected to get because no one informed you of it or went over it with you on the call. It's false advertising and they don't stand behind their customers. If they did it wouldn't be about how I order I'd should still get the same price as advertised. Don't do business with them. I won't ever again.

Mediacom is the worst service I have ever used. Number one. They hire all these people and they do not know what they are doing. Number 2 They be adding extra stuff to your bill. Number 3 They have the most outage in your area and they do not give you any credit for that Number 4. They are rude disrespectful, and unprofessional. Even the managers. Mediacom needs to do better. I wish I can leave a zero

I recently switched our internet service from MediaCom to a local internet provider. The disconnect seemed to go fine until it came to resolving the final bill. I received a full bill almost 3 weeks after the service was disconnected. I called to notify the company this billing was wrong. I received a typical long delay of even getting a person to talk to and I finally received confirmation that I would receive a corrected bill with the final amount due by the next month. When this statement came, it was even worse. It reflected I was 2 months past due and had been turned over to collections! I finally was able to contact a live voice again after being bounced around their auto teller service. They again said the statement was in error and I would receive a final statement with the correct amount. Today I received a recorded phone message to contact them. When I returned the call, they again notified me I was in collections and if I didn't pay immediately, I would be reported to the credit bureau as delinquent. Again, I have never received a correct statement! The Mediacom rep told me, it was not their problem, it had been mailed and if I had not received it that is my problem! I do not think it was mailed or I would have received it. Bottom line this company has the worst customer service you can imagine!!! I hesitated enrolling with them previously because of their reputation. This experience enforces that reputation. Please think twice before becoming involved with them. Unfortunately this seems to be a similar characteristic with many of these service type companies . I have had similar experience with TV satellite service. They claim to appreciate their customers but when it comes to a complaint or dispute, they do not listen. They are in charge and will use the threat of a delinquent report to the credit bureau as leverage even though it is unwarranted and unfounded!!! Has anyone attempted to correct the credit bureau?

Mediacom has outages, sometimes only in my direct neighborhood (not even exaggerating) a minimum of once a month. They are cheaper than their competitors for a reason. When it works, it works fine for what I need: stream a show or do online class. But just like their sister company- *******, once you’re not a new customer and are a “loyal” customer, they don’t care about retention. They increase your rate (sometimes without warning, like in my SO’s case where they put him on a higher tier and increased his bill without asking). And when you ask for a promo rate they say it’s not available. It IS available though. They just don’t care about standing customers as much as new ones. I can’t wait to move out of this monopolized area.
