I Went in to check a slow leak on my tire and they broke the wheel lock key off in the lug nut. Now, instead of getting the wheel welded for approximately $200 for the repair, I have to go to a *** dealer for $250 an hour to remove the locked lug nut before I even get the wheel fixed. When it happened they acted like it was no big deal and just sent me on my way. They said it was over tightened. It was over tightened by another ***** which is in ********.I also have to buy a new wheel lock key from ***.

Been going to this particular Mavis in **************** for over thirty Years. Wife's car needed a state inspection so she made an appointment for a Sunday at 1PM. Got a call in the morning stating their only inspection person called out. She made another appointment while on the phone for Monday at 11AM.She gets there on time and is told that the inspection could not be performed because they "had run out of stickers". Didn't they know there were no stickers left the last time their only inspector was at work? When she asked why she didn't get a call this time to cancel the inspection, the person behind the counter said that he didn't get around to it yet and said he didn't care if she went to a competitor for service. Corporate was nice about it and arranged for an inspection about two hours later at the Mavis in Cortland. As it turned out, they gave me a free inspection for my wife's trouble, but failed the car's inspection for bad wipers, so the $35 I saved on the inspection paid for the wipers.

Beware!!! I took my car here for a brake check and got called back stating I need all this service done on my brakes. I was told in a pressuring way so red flags immediately flew. Talked to several coworkers who also have had issues with this location. I declined the service and when I went to pick my car up, the cherry on the top happened. I noticed my dash cam cord had moved onto the other side. Concerned, I pulled the video and the mechanic driving my car was speeding. It was very obvious in the video as the car was jumping all over the place. The dash cam flew off the window. When the mechanic went to put it back up, the video caught my gps system that shows the speed limit in the area along with the speed of the car. It showed they were going 20+ mph over the speed limit. I have the full video along with the cursing when the camera flew off the window. I did place a call into Brakes Plus and talked to the manager and he apologized and said he would talk to the individual. I appreciate his response but still want to warn other customers. I will never return back to this place! Totally unacceptable!

Fail. I should have taken notice when my car was the nicest car on the property. I had two good experiences with them, then this horrific experience. you should always assume nothing will be done with any problems you have, when the company has a policy of not giving you the "managers" last name who is supposed to be calling you. Thanks for damaging two of my OEM $1000 rims. Maybe hire people who can lift a mounted tire instead having to lower the car down, get on the ground and use their knees to lift the tire into place... while using iron tools around painted and machined rims. So far, they have not responded, said they have pictures and are getting estimates (not sure how they got pictures?)

Scam artists. They will take your money and run! There is too much to add here but the biggest take away is that I specifically requested they check the head gasket and other major components that could be causing the issues I was having with my car. The manager of that store came back and said the head gasket was fine, even wrote on my receipt that the gaskets had no issues. Well...I left the store with numerous issues remaining that were supposed to be taken care of, including my tires. They didn't fix the one with the biggest issue...they told me it was fine! I very specifically told them I was not fixing the vehicle if there were any major issues, especially the head gasket. Since they said there was nothing wrong with it or other major components of the vehicle, I went ahead and plopped down over $2,000 in repairs, thinking my car would be running smoothly again. Wrong. I took it back and a different, more honest set of people took a look at the car. They said the mechanic working on it the other day never checked the gasket and that the mechanic the day I took it back checked the gasket and it was in fact bad. I contacted corporate office and it took them TWO weeks to come up with a solution. The manager of corporate office didn't even know the details to my bill at this point and offered roughly half of my money back. What a joke. I'm missing work and didn't have to if I had been told about the gasket in the first place because I would have used the money to get a different vehicle. This isn't even to mention all the negligence with not addressing the limp mode as requested (they left me with the impression that they fixed that issue through the work that was done), or the wheel bearing that took me to the shop to begin with. Over $2,000 flushed into the toilet due to their negligence and my car isn't even safe to drive. Single mom of 3 with a limited income. Shame on you!

By far the worst experience I ever had in 40 years of buying tires and driving a car. Late on appointment, told I would have call confirmation on tires and alignment, no calls ever came. Told 4 tires would take an hour, after two hours just got started. Was told by the manager I was being rude just by asking when the car would be ready and why is it taking so long? Interrupted by a customer telling me to be nice to the manager?????? why? I was not being rude or disrespectful, I had to go back to work. Horrible customer server, no care whatsoever about customers or their time. Never again, I will be contacting the BBB for a complaint and as many sites as I can think of to put a review on.

I recently took my car to Mavis for front bearing work. When I had the work done and paid them for the work, I drove the car a block and noticed the same sound. I took my car back to them and told them it was doing the same thing. They refused to fix it and told me to get another opinion. I did what they asked of me, and the dealership stated it was the bearings. I took my car back to them several times because the problem persisted. In addition, they gave me the run around about fixing it every time. I will never use this company again. They are unprofessional and unethical.

The staff at Dunwoody/******** Mavis was amazing! I had a flat tire and stopped by without an appointment. They were able to fit me in and had me back on the road in less than 30 minutes!

Ive taken my 2012 Cadillac to Mavis Tires in ********, ** over the last 5 years for oil changes, replaced front and rear brakes with rotors and several mechanical problems. I am considered a repeat customer. I will say though each time there was a mechanical issue, the Mavis techs could not figure out what to do. My husband has diagnosed the issues and called to tell the mechanics what the issue is and how to fix it. If he had the right tools and was not in poor health, he could do it himself and he is not even a certified mechanic! Fast forward to the most recent issue. I bought Pirelli P7 run flat tires back on Jan. 8, 2020. I spent $1490.00 for the tires, alignment, etc. I was told at P.O.S. that they had a ****** mile warranty. I traveled on business as far as ***********, *************** ** for a few months, then when Covid shut everything down, traveling ceased and I worked from home. From Feb. 2021 -present I have a different remote job. My car is in a carport, away from the sun and other weather elements. I drive my car once or twice a week to run errands. I have put much less than ****** miles on my car since having my tires replaced. On June 17, 2023 after balancing my tires, the tech, ****** proceeds to tell me that my tires are dry rotted. What? There is no way that these tires should be dry rotted! ****** stated they were manufactured in 2018 and they may have already been dry rotted. This would mean that MAVIS TIRES IN ********, ** SOLD ME DRY ROTTED TIRES!!! I had a flat late that afternoon and when I came in the next day, inquiring about the warranty, the manager ******** proceeded to tell me that the run flats DO NOT COME WITH A WARRANTY!! MAVIS DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!
