I opened 2 accounts on August 28, 2024. On August 31, 2024. Both accounts were closed without any warning. At the most vital moment in my life, in the middle of a move and opening a new business, all of my assets as well as incoming funds have been frozen. Not to mention, trip plans that haven't been fully paid for, will now be lost. This does not include the fees I will accrue. This by far is the worst banking experience I've ever had.

DON'T USE CHASE!!! THEY DON'T CARE!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm trying to settle a debt with Chase and they do not care if you've fallen on hard times because of COVID, life events, or anything bad happening to you. My husband and I are trying to work with them, but they are just AI robots now. We've tried calling multiple times to no avail. Yes, we should have been more vigilant with our debt. However, my husband is jumping through hoops e.i. going back to school to get a better job to pay for this debt, and considering taking out our 401k. I'm more upset with the lack of empathy. No we don't want "poor us" vibes, we want to settle this and they won't take our money. FYI, they also are affiliated with *********.

JP Morgan Chase Bank: a merciless bank that never passes every opportunity to charge fees even when my balance is below $1500 for one day. In another situation, I was charged fees three times in a month. What kind of ethics is this?

DO NOT OPEN A HIGH SCHOOL ACCOUNT FOR YOUR KID AT CHASE! If you get this account and your 10 to 17 year old has a problem that they don’t understand or don’t know how to fix then even tho you are on the account with them, you still can’t call and fix the problem, or find out what the issue is. The child has to! This is ridiculous!!! My kid is at school now, and has a problem getting something ordered this morning, so she asked me to find out what the issue was with the account. Called and talked to the customer service rep and then a manager and was told they couldn’t help me! SMH

I had an account that I carelessly allowed a scammer the online details to. Once I recognized it, I immediately reported it and filed a claim for fraudulent transactions etc. they restricted my account to prevent further damage allegedly. I called back today to proceed to discover they shut down the account and I can’t access it or my money or get reimbursed or open a new account. This is ********!!!!

Chase is pretty good about handling attempted credit card fraud. However after the report and a new account number/expiration date/CVV are provided, they still allow, for an indeterminate time period vendors to charge the account using the defunct account info. Chase "justifies" this because the vendor had been allowed to charge the card previously, even if it was many months in the past.
They maintain it's up to the consumer to cancel/modify any 'recurring' charges and also point out it's the customers responsibility to report any questionable charges. We had no recurring charges and in fact ********, who had 1 legit charge at least 6 months ago was allowed to charge our account recently because "they already had our account information". THEY DID NOT!!! THEY HAD THE OLD ACCOUNT NUMBER/DATE/CVV!!! This is just one example.
A casual inquiry to other VISA accounts I have yielded a hard NO when I asked them if they would allow these types of charges using cancelled account info. This Chase made-up policy is criminal and I will no longer give them my business. '0' Stars.

I sold my house and deposited my proceeds check into my Chase account and they immediately put a hold on the proceeds for 2 weeks. I was not feeling well so I left and called them the next day to find out about the hold. I was told for a check that high, their system automatically puts a hold on it but to call them back on Monday and they would see what they could do. I called 3 times on Monday and on the third time they said my funds would be available in one hour. I held my breath for an hour and no money. Now I’m sick with Covid so Tuesday I was in bed all day. On Wednesday, I call back and they tell me that the bank that issued the check has not deposited the money. I call the Title company that handled the closing and was told that the check cleared on Monday and that Chase had called them twice to verify what the check was for. I call Chase back and the person I spoke to says that she can see where the check had already cleared and that she would request that the funds be released, check my account in a hour and funds should be there. One hour late, no funds so I call Chase again. This time spoke to a supervisor who told me yes the check had cleared but there was a chance that the funds could be returned so they would keep it on hold for another week… WOW!! I asked her to explain how the check funds had already cleared but you are holding my money hostage. She said it’s their policy because I had never deposited a check that large before… but you have the funds??? I have banked with Chase for awhile and never experienced anything like this before. Their lack of concern for their customer is disappointing. I will remove all of my money as soon as it gets into my account and find a bank that cares….

I have a credit card with chase and it has travel protection and fraud protection included on it. Well I booked a hotel room through a fraudulent company that portrayed itself at the mirage hotel and come to find out I never got a room reservation, they took my money. I had to book my own room through the real mirage hotel so I had a reservation. Filed multiple disputes with chase to get my money back of $454.06 from this fraudulent company and chase kept saying “it’s booked for a future date so you are liable for the purchase of $454.06”. How can they be so dense? I had already gone on my vacation, so how is it booked for a future date, I booked it for a specific weekend and there was never a reservation made. Then the best part is they kept saying the same thing and now the mirage hotel is permanently closed and chase is still saying I’m liable and the purchase stands. They are so dense. They obviously don’t care about their customers and they obviously don’t stand behind their travel and fraud protection they have on their credit cards. This is also the first dispute I have done with chase. I will be closing my account with them and moving to another bank that will hopefully have my back unlike chase.

Chase refused to honor a check I wrote. When it was deposited, the account balance was 33 times the amount of the check. I've spent hours on the phone and visited my branch yet they still can't/won't tell me why they didn't honor the check. Well, guess what? You don't get to treat people with an 840 credit score this way. Adios—and I'm closing my Chase business account too.
