Highly disappointing when you deposit a check that has been verified by the other bank (bc chase called) only to have them put a hold on it. They don’t care about their customers and their needs at all. Once my funds are available, i will be transferring the amounts elsewhere. I have retained a banking and fraud attorney to hold them liable due to them not wanting to provide documentation on the reason for the hold on my account. Representatives only said they could verbally tell me which really translates to “ I don’t want to write the reason why we’re holding your funds because we don’t want to lawsuit”.

Chase Bank does not allow customers to update their personal information online/mobile app because they want to “mitigate online fraud.” However, anyone who has access to a customer account online has the necessary information to pass authentication over the phone. Also, if I cannot authenticate over the phone, I am forced to visit a branch. I live in a heavily populated and congested area (** Metro Area) and banks close at 5pm and I get off at 4pm or later. Traffic is usually a 30-45 minute drive without accidents or road closures, eliminating one avenue to manage my account. However, Chase claims to value account security so much that they deny account manage actions online and the mobile app, yet they have no issue with my personal account information captured on banking and billing statements going to a residence I no longer live and that residence has a new owner. It seems that Chase cannot be bothered with customer concerns about account security because they do not value our input, only what they deem is appropriate. These are the actions of a bad banking institution who does not put stock into their acclaimed values of customer satisfaction or needs. Every other bank allows the customer to manage their accounts online, but Chase Bank has no interest in actually helping their customers.

I had gone into the Chase Bank located at ** ***** *** ** ********* ** today with my child to open up an high school checking account for him. I felt discriminated against and lack of support/service in this branch today. First, I walked into the branch no one greeted us. As I walked up to bank teller's station, I informed the worker of my needs for service today.
She acted like she did not understand what a high school checking account was and had us wait 20min for a banker to assist us. As I waited for about 20min. a worker (who was not banker) came over, and asked why I was sitting in area and what assistance I need today. We were the only African-American Persons sitting in area. I told her I was waiting for a banker and advised to sit in area to wait for one to become available to assist my banking service.
The worker then asked me for my ID and I asked her why does she need to see my ID when no one else was asked that was sitting there. The worker I felt lied and said, "I just need to check you in".
Afterwards, banker came and proceeded with process of assisting me to open my child's account. We had gotten half way through process, then worker asked for my child's SSN#, and I did not have it available. I was originally informed to bring other ID's for my son, and my ID and that would be fine. The worked named ***** ******* then lied to me to, due to not opening up account when she said she could with other confidential ID paperwork. She had us there for almost 30min and blame me for not having ID, when she informed me she could open high school account without it.
I asked to speak to manager, both were unprofessional, and not accepting accountability for their unprofessionalism, lack of banking support for customers, and discriminatory behaviors. They did not even bother to say sorry for inconvenience or suggest other ways to support us. They should fired for their lack of service today!! I Will Never Go Back to this bank will be closing my accounts!!!

I recently decided to apply and open a Chase checking account at this specific branch. On today, I went into the branch to discuss opening a credit card and another checking account. While speaking to a branch representative, whose name is ************************, I discovered there was already a fraudulent credit card opened in my name! As well as another checking account. Called in with this rep to the CHASE CREDIT CARD department and was able to get that situation resolved. Further on we discussed me closing the account that I did not open and re numbering my account number. We proceeded with that process. Fast forward, Im out running errands and tried to make a few transactions only for every single transaction action being declined. I decided the call the CHASE CUSTOMER SERVICE to figure out whats going on. Literally after speaking with at least 4-5 different people, excluding the ones I didnt directly talk to, I was told that my account was restricted for ***** hours because of the re numbering. I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THERE WOULD BE A HOLD ON MY ACCOUNT. So I am left without access to my funds. This is not the first nor second time that this specific Chase branch worker has MISINFORMED me on information. First, when I initially opened the account she said she would expedite my card and waive the $5 fee. Didnt get an actually card until 30 days later. Card was never expedited via the Chase call center. Second, she told me the day I set up the account I would be able to use my digital wallet until the new card came. LIE. TOOK A WEEK. I complained on this specific locations ****** review also filed a complaint by another representative via the Chase call center. She needs to be immediately handled. Its too many incidents of NOT telling the truth with this person. Thats multiple incidents from just ME. She is wrong. I am visiting a branch tomorrow to file a formal complaint as well as a CFCB complaint. Now I have to walk around for 24 hours with no access to funds.

Made false promises to client and have made no attempt to resolve ongoing issue for a missing cash deposit that happened to their ATM machines. While there is clearly a system issue from their end, Chase went on with their protocol stating they have to do further research on the deposit. Spoke directly to the bank Manager of the branch where the ATM was located and there no attempts from upper management to even send anyone to check if there's an overage on the ATM machine. The incident happened on 7/12 and my husband's entire paycheck in cash was deposited in the machine to pay for our rent and our daughter's tuition. They want us to wait until 7/26 for the credit to happen. I've been sick and has been in and out of the Urgent Care and they have no remorse for people like us. All of my pending debits are being returned and everything is a nightmare! I filed a police report. They have our money. The people are disrespectful at the Claims Dept and one person even hang up on me. This is clearly unacceptable! I know I am a small individual account but I have been with this bank for so many years. But there is no way to treat clients like this!

I greatly appreciate the security measures put in place that prevented me but also allowed me to gain acces so long as i called.
there was no other way to access what i needed and being a small business im grateful for the help along the way-

Chase is sending marketing emails to its banking customers without a proper link or means of unsubscribing. I received such an email titled ", get to know all that comes with your new checking account", containing no unsubscribe link or other way to remove myself.
