I'm filing a complaint against Chase Bank regarding a merchant services transaction. Despite completing a legitimate transaction with a client, who paid via credit/debit card, Chase has placed my funds on hold for 60 days. I've already rendered services to the client and haven't received payment.

As a small business owner, I've consistently had a positive experience with Chase, but this incident is causing significant financial hardship. I've provided all necessary documentation, including invoices, to verify my business and transaction. I've been a loyal customer with a problem-free merchant account for years.

I urge the BBB to help resolve this matter and release my funds immediately. Chase's actions are not only damaging my business but also undermining my trust in their services. I hope we can find a swift resolution to this issue.

I attempted to remove a past employee from access to my business account and they told me I could not unless we were BOTH present in the store together. He lives in another state and is no longer part of the company, which didn't make sense. I called 4 TIMES on 4 different days and was told the same thing. The past employee then took $10k out of the account and Chase said I benefited from the transaction and there is nothing they can do. I have a criminal case against the person but no way of getting my money back!

In a little over a year after opening a JPMorganChase checking account and a brokerage account, I lost confidence in Chase based on the way I was treated, and I closed all accounts.
Denied credit card even though I had excellent credit rating and had extensive assets in the brokerage account.
I did research and found out that Chase has a binary rule (5/24) rule stating that you won't be approved for a Chase credit card if you've opened five or more cards from any bank (excluding most business credit cards) in the past 24 months. This rule is never stated in the credit card application. I have opened credit cards that offered cash bonuses after a fixed dollar amount was charged to the card and paid. In one case, the offer was a $200 bonus after $1,000 was charged to the card within a set time period and paid off. Taking this offer yields $200 benefit with no additional expenditures as long as the credit card is used to make the necessary purchase. Using such bonus offers is an excellent way to manage personal finances.
Chase put a 10 day hold on a check I deposited in the Checking account.
JPMorgan incorrectly titled/registered the Brokerage account with the wrong Trust date, and omitted one of the trustees. When I noticed the error (yes, I noticed it and JPMorgan did not), I notified the Client Advisor about the error. 46 days later, I closed all JPMorgan Chase accounts with the error not corrected.
During this 46 day period there was no change in the title/registration of the Brokerage account after numerous efforts on my part to get JPMorgan to make the correction. On two separate occasions I was told that the error would be corrected within a couple of days. At a meeting to check the status of efforts to correct the trust date error. I was requested to sign a “Trust Certification” certifying to a fact that was not true. I lost confidence in JPMorgan/Chase after I was encouraged to sign a document that all meeting personnel knew was not true.

As a 12 year business owner I believe their 3rd party banking system isn’t the best I had go through a week of deliberations defending the fact me and my team worked hard to earn our money to have ask permission for it up be approved to have to prove basically I’m a legitimate business. That I’m not stealing money.

The worst banking Experience, Opened checking account and few months later they informed me that they will be closing it without providing any reason. None of the customer service or bank reps could explain what happened. Wanted to access my statements for the last 3 months and they are nowhere to be found online nor in the app. Needed them the same day in electronic form, but was told they can only send me paper copie. Don't waste time with this bank.

They have made security so difficult. I can't get them to help me get access to my account after they removed my phone number for 2 step notifications. I guess don't ever change your phone provider when you are a chase bank customer. I have been on hold multiple times on multiple different calls. They are yet to even help me. The last person I talked to told me I had been transferred to the wrong number and put me back on hold. I have been on hold for over an hour and a half. I reached out via ******** messenger they then told me they couldn't help me and have completely ignored all of my requests since.

I have a buisness account with Chase Bank. One of their ATM's was not giving cash out. So I went to ***** ***** Bank and trust and was given a $3.50 charge through ***** ***** Bank and a $3.00 fee which was credited back by Chase. Why would they not give me the $3.50 credit bank since their ATM was faulty?

I can’t believe this bank sends me notices and letters stating that I can’t get credit with them because supposedly I have applied for credit recently too many times ( but I got it with someone else ) and it’s absurd when I have thousands of dollars in my Chase account, my credit is 700 or more. This is not the first time this happens…. it happens whether my credit goes up or down or payoff cards or not. I had a bankruptcy due to a separation back in 2008 and ever since then Chase has denied me because I owed them some money then. I know they are discriminating on me because I filed for bankruptcy and other major bank have given me credit with no problem. I have been saving my paper trail for years to prove their denials are **. I have credit with *** ** ***** ***** and others and the cards limits are from $8000 to $12,000 but not from Chase when I have thousands and thousands of dollars in my Chase account. This is complete discrimination and I think it is illegal to do this. In 6 months, I want to see what excuse they give when I pay off everything.

I was the victim of fraud on 4/27/24. My debit card was skimmed somewhere and my debit card was duplicated. Somehow they had gotten my PIN as well. First there was a phone transaction where $1000 was transferred from my sons high school account to my checking account. Soon after, the Chase Bank at **** * ******* ******* ** a bank teller, gave one of the two thieves, the first one a woman, $3000 from my checking account and $1000 from my savings account WITHOUT ASKING FOR AN ID who presented a debit card in my name. (All on video that was given to the police). About 20 mins later, the male thief then walked into a ******* in ****** ** where he is seen taking two transactions out of an ATM, then walking over to the self checkout and making 5 transactions for $100 cash back and one transaction in the amount of $80 cash back.
All while this was happening, I was 100 miles away at the time and provided proof to Chase of this fact. Chase was called immediately after the theft was discovered, which was within the hour on that day.
Once I returned home, I filed a police report with my local police dept and provided the information and a 5 pg time line to my local Chase branch manager. A few days later the police were able to obtain video stills from ******* of the male offender and video evidence of the female offender from the Chase bank in *******.
My issue with this whole incident is NOW, while I've been credited for the ATM and the bank withdrawals, the claims dept of Chase is telling me they WILL NOT credit me the cash back transactions because a PIN was used and telling me I MUST have given my pin to someone else. WHAT!?!?!? I was 100 miles away and had NO CLUE my information was even stolen somewhere! This whole incident could have came to a screeching halt IF THE BRANCH TELLER HAD DONE HER JOB AND ASKED FOR AN ID IN THE FIRST PLACE and they could have confiscated the fake card in the first place
Chase employees appear to be complicit, IMO.

Do not trust Chase bank. We deposited $28,000 on May 24, 2024. We were told that they would be held for one day. We were emailed the following day that the deposits would be held for two weeks. Upon complaining over the weekend to the only department that was open, credit cards. We spoke with JUSTIN, who, by the end of the phone call threatened to cancel our line of credit due to our complaint .

On Wednesday after we have set up our new accounts, we will never do business with Chase again. I will bet you that they try to keep our money for two weeks regardless. Never do business with Chase..
