I decided to go with chase to get my first home. I'm a vet and they have a very enticing VA home loan grant and offer many options. My loan Adviser, ******* ****, was AMAZING all around so i assumed the process would go smoothly and quickly. I started my home buying process mid September and by October 6th I was in contract and moving forward with the application process with Chase. That's where it all went to hell.
My Closing date was set for December 5th, Chase assured the seller that they could provide a commitment by November 5th ( 30 days after the contract date) it took chase 4 weeks to order the appraisal of the property. Then another 3 weeks to verify rental income. Every document the required of me I sent to them within an hour of them asking. Long story short the closing date came and passed and chase was still reviewing INTITAL documents !! Asking for bank statement and tax forms that were provided. Now in the middle of January Chase has yet to approve me and is still adding conditions to get me to close.
They are the WORST bank to work with!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEE stay away !!!!!
Their VA underwrite team has NO CLUE what they're doing. If chase keeps using them they will go bankrupt for constantly giving away 5K for missed closing dates.
I hope Matthew decided to go to another bank and SOON, chase will be his downfall.

I opened up a business account with Chase online. My account was approved and I deposited money into it. Chase does not provide checks so I had to purchase them which were like 60 bucks. Yeah, 60 bucks for checks. A week later I try to log in and everything is locked. I call them and they told me it was a fraud protection and they wanted to verify I opened the account. They verified my account and we are good to go. 2 weeks later I log in and the account is missing. After 2 hours on the phone I found they completely closed it because they needed to verify my identity. They verified my identity and then told me I would need to go in and create a new account. The old account is not able to be reopened.

Keep in mind, at no point was I ever contacted about any of this. The only reason I found out about it is because I tried logging in. I already have direct deposits setup. I paid money for checks. They had verified my identity 3 times(initial open, fraud detection and the last call). I have funds I can't access until their paper check arrives, I have 50-60 dollars worth of useless checks and not I get to scramble to fix my direct deposits.

Go somewhere else for anything related to business. This has been an expensive and time consuming mistake.

Very Disappointed. i deposited a check from my personal account to my business account for purposes of purchasing another business. They put a 2 week hold on the check for no reason and almost caused the deal to fall through. Jumped through hoops to file for an early release of the hold and then it went completely ignored. Would not recommend.

Chase Bank is by far one of the worse banks in banking history. They abruptly closed my checking account with no explanation. The restricted me from accessing the funds in my account and from opening my online app. They sent me a letter stating they might close my account due to a security breach which boiled down to their assumptions that there was a fraudulent purchase being made. This purchase was from a music company in London which I purchase from all the time. This just happened to be the first time I ever purchased with my Chase Checking Account. In any case they denied the merchant his money which caused me great embarrassment and humiliation. No bank should have the right to abruptly close or restrict anyone's account without getting accurate information first. They just assume something and then they act. This was totally inappropriate, but I will get my funds from my account and I will never look at a Chase Bank again ever. If you don't want to get screwed by this institution, then take my advice and go anywhere else but Chase.

Jp Morgan has to be the worst banking experience anyone could ever endure. They took funds from me and my fiancee and closed the account it. I was going to by a car in full with my paycheck, and they took the money from my direct deposit and told me the account was under investigation. About 30 phone calls later and months after their staff keeps shrugging it off and won't give me numbers to the people supposedly investigating it. Nor do they provided me with any information on what I can do to speed the process to getting my money back. This company is crooked and corrupt taking off the plates of hard working Americans, and would strongly recommend not entrusting any of your money to their care, because you won't get it back.

Been with Chase for nearly two decades. They closed one of my 11 year old accounts without notice. It's an inconvenience to reopen another one. I've spoke to 5 different people so far until the 6th person was able to do something different but not resolve the issue entirely. Got take off work to resolve it.

I got scammed through chase Zelle. I had called beforehand to ensure that I would get my money back if it was a scam. Now they’ve denied me my money back 3 times.

I have been a chase customer for over 10 years and have had issues all along the way, but this most current takes the cake. I opened a checking account in WA just prior to moving to AZ and Chase never was able to connect my checking and savings into one bank card. They said I had to cancel one of the accounts and re-open both in AZ. Then I deposited a large CASHIERS check from my husband into my chase savings account, and Chase put a 10 day hold on the money. I called them and they confirmed with my husband's bank, Bank of America, that the money was present and they had issued the cashier's check for my husband, and also called my husband to get verification from him personally, and still wouldn't release the money until the 10 days was up. They had absolutely no reason why, because all of their arguments, potential fraudulence, the money not being there, etc had been removed. Yet they still wouldn't give me my money. So, they were holding onto a large sum, that neither my husband or I could access. Closing all accounts as soon as they release my money.
