Hello, I am a college student struggling to make ends meet, and had the opportunity to have banking experience with Chase. It was the worst experience EVER, I will never bank with them again. The customer service is honestly disgraceful and they really don't care about helping the people that give them a chance, they only care about the money aspect. Last year I purchased something from an online site and never received it. And notified my bank of this issue, and one of the agents I spoke with reassured me that they understood my frustration with the situation of me being scammed and restored the funds back to my account. A few days later my account is negative. They closed the account and I didn't have any more access to the account then they recently received my student refund and took the money and told me that they sent a check yet still to this day have yet to receive it. I feel played with and it seems like they do this to all their customers.

I've been a customer in good standing with their Freedom card since 2019. They don't offer any account insurance which is unfortunate. However, on accounts that do not, I've been calling the companies and let them know about my reduced income due to tempor disability. On my first call, I spoke to someone in the hardship department that said I can't access any programs because my account is not delinquent (well, yet anyway). I was to check the app for programs as well. What I got out of that call was an app that had an expired COVID program, and a big middle finger as a good customer.I closed my account and set an appointment with ******** at Chase. We talked and she did her best to reconnect me to the collections department to set something up. They wanted to take my application on the phone, and wanted me to know my net disability payments, total bills, etc. I didn't have that on the spot due to no payments coming in and not having budget totals reviewed. They just said can't help you if you don't have it. Hold times, various calls in, and showing a willingness to pay something, once a customer in good standing, and that's what I got from this egregiously ableist company!I may try again when my numbers come in, but an application I could work on via email or paper would have been helpful. A program for good customers would be helpful. At least bring on an insurance program if you're going to act like this. At least we can opt in and protect ourselves. Again. Very ableist company. Anyone suffering challenges is just treated like dirt.I will be pursuing ways on my own as best I can, because I have some integrity; of I run into more troue and expense from them, they won't get my money at all, credit score be darned.

I am very disappointed there is no option to update my legal name changed by marriage online or over the phone. The customer service rep assured me it is impossible, citing security reasons. BS. I have been able to easily at the very other banking institution I am associated with (******* ******, USAA, others), by providing a request and documentation in a secure manner. Most took less than 5 minutes. I chose to bank with chase because of the online presence; however, I am a mobilizing service member and cannot just go into a branch to update my name. Nor should I have to! Modern technology is available. I will be closing my investment account and credit cards and moving them to somewhere that allows use my legal name without a cumbersome in person visit. This will be faster and more convenient than visiting a branch in person.Dont open a chase account if you plan to get married or change your name. Other banking institutions are able to manage simple but important requests; Chase is not.

I've been trying to transfer my money out of my account to another bank 3 times and they keep locking my account, canceling the transfer, and making me call in to verify my identity. Each time they said, "oh it's unlocked now, try the transfer again and it will go through." They won't let me get my money out! This bank is terrible, not worth the hassle of dealing with them for checking.

A week ago applied for a Self-Directed Investing account, was approved and on every transfer my account gets locked. It has been a week, four calls to unlock the account to make transfers from an account that is verified and with proven transfers. **************** forwards you around for half an hour without any solution. Last rep told me they simply "do not want my business", "to go somewhere else". This is beyond anything I have ever experienced. I do not understand how this people are not regulated.

I got behind last year by 2 payments( not consecutive months). I worked out a payment plan and honored the terms and conditions. I was told at the time that if I made these payments my credit would not be affected. They mislead me and quite frankly lied. They reported my account to the ************** I call and asked them to please remove this from my credit report and they refused. Horrible way to do business! My account with them is now in good standing.

I noticed a double charge on my debit account. The app wouldnt let me resolve or submit a claim instead told me to call their cs number. I called and it said wait time was 50 minutes no call back option.. nothing to do but wait to speak with someone. I waited 55 minutes and then a message came up due to extenuating circumstances blah blah blah cant take your call. Please call back. All that after waiting the 50+ minutes they said i was going to have to wait. For a company like chase to not have a call back option and then to hang up on them after waiting the estimated time unacceptable.

Chase placed a hold on my personal loan from another bank and lied and told me it wasnt them its the other bank. It took me calling 8 times and getting a branch manager involved to find out Chase had the funds the whole time but chose not to release them for 7 business days.
