I recently sold my primary residence. After closing we were cut a check by the title company minus the remaining balance on our mortgage. We immediately deposited the check at Chase and were told that there would be a two day hold on the funds. Two days later upon checking the app the hold had been extended by one week. Had we needed this money to close on our new home I'm not sure what we would have done. As I mentioned to the bank manager, the check we were depositing was from a reputable title company that they would see from time to time. I also know that the funds were available and the check had cleared. Terrible that we are more worried about protecting a big bank over consumers.

Please help!!! On July 29, 2021, my financial entity USAA sent a wire transfer in the amount $24,000 to JP Morgan Chase for ******** **** *****. I contacted on 4/21/22 ******** **** ***** and they advised me they did not receive the wire transfer I have contacted them and my bank to see what recourse I could take and they advised to submit a tracer . There was a tracer 4/21 with no response, 4/28/22 tracer with no response, and 5/2/22 an amendment was sent to correct the account number, on 5/5 a third request was sent with no response. On 5/11 JP replied and said the money cannot be sent back regarding the tracer and that was an incorrect response because the tracer was suppose to communicate where the funds went. On 5/2, I contacted JP Morgan Chase executive staff. I was given a case #. I was given a 800 number to call back and check on the case. I spoke with a rep. and was made aware that I could call back and find info on the case. 5/4 contacted another rep. at JP Morgan Chase, I let her know an amendment was sent by USAA and advised the dates of the tracers on 4/21, 4/28/, and 5/5 and an amendment on 5/2 that they advised it would take 3-5 days to process, for the correct account number. On 5/5 I contacted about not responding to the tracer and at that time I was told there was no additional information I could receive. 5/6 spoke to the rep. with USAA and she was advised to wait on the amendment, to assure it was sent to the correct company of ******** **** *****. I spoke with rep. advised me the funds had still not been posted to ******** **** *****. If the wire transfer was completed there should be a record. On 5/10 I spoke with a rep. again. 5/11 I spoke to JP Morgan Chase again. I contacted them on the following days 4/28, 4/29, 5/2, 5/10, 5/12, 5/16, 5/17, and 5/19 and also through email correspondence. On 5/16 USAA sent another tracer. 5/19 I contacted JP Morgan Chase and they stated they were not going to process the amendment, 3-5 days to process.

Received texts from chase about activity on my business account. I immediately called in and confirmed it is not me and I need the account locked. 25 minutes into the call ******* informs me my account is now empty! The locked account I ask? I am then informed I have to go to a branch to "freeze" my account and I should have done that in the first place. Five days later the best I can get from them is they might give me a "credit" after an investigation in two weeks aka 10 business days. I strongly recommend you bank elsewhere as chase appears to be compromised and has zero accountability.

Absolutely the worst bank ever, my accounts are shut down several times a year because they claim fraudulent activity, I use two other banks that have never in 20 years had such a problem, never get a human on the phone, zero customer service and Im constantly left hung out to dry.

I've never been so angry with a company before. My card was stolen, close to $300 was taken out. They gave me the cash back and then took it back? Honestly, that's not even the biggest issue here. I was told my new card would be here in 2 days. It never arrived. It has not been almost 2 weeks and still no card. When I call they tell me that "they forgot to send it out." What??? My rent is 7 days late, as I can't pay rent with a cc. I call and no one is able to help me or tell me when my card will be here????? I'm so angry and I cannot wait to get my money out of this account. I will never use this company again, nor will I ever refer anyone to do so.

I am a very frustrated customer of Chase. Been a customer for 30 years.
I deposited a large sum of money in my account. Money from my fathers and mothers trust.
Money from a farm I was part of for 43 years. Anyway they put the funds on hold. When I called them the day before to check on the funds they said they would be on hold and were in the process of closing the account?? They eventually closed the account. I talked to numerous branches and talked to many people. Nothing they can do? My account could not accept deposits, ***** or any deposits, it messed up all my auto pay accounts, I got penalties for late payments……. I turned in 3 times my fathers death certificate and declaration of trust. Event the money which was in my account was gone. The money which was already in the account. I received no explanation , no communication and a care less attitude.
Very frustrating and unfair! I plan to file police report then legal action.

Dear all, Please, be aware of what Chase does with their My Chase Plan, which functions somewhat like an installment loan on relatively large purchases on their credit cards. First off, as it turns out, Chase offers you to take out this installment loan for the transactions that you have already paid off. This is totally against common sense. But here is an example: On November 3, 2022, this bank sent me an email informing me that a transaction made on September 24, 2022, during the previous billing cycle was eligible for My Chase Plan. For the record: Chase was aware that I had paid off what I owed for that period without any interest charges. "A mistake," one may think. I considered that too. However, as I attempted to set up My Chase Plan for a different transaction, I realized that the list of available options also included other old transactions I had paid off. That significantly increased the number of "available" transactions, leading up to me not choosing the one I intended to. When I called them the next day, explaining the situation, they told me that they could not modify My Chase Plan, even though it was still the same billing cycle and the same amount. I just needed it to be applied to a different transaction. When I asked them whether they thought they were responsible for offering me the list of misleading options that included purchases I had already paid off, they hung up on me, not even offering an apology. Given that Chase does offer you to take out an unnecessary loan for purchases you've already paid off (which appears to be an attempt to doubt-charge you) and also refuses to modify or cancel the plan a person has started as a result of this, I'm left wondering how many customers ended up donating their money to Chase as a result of this.

Was sent an unnecessarily alarming email @ the end of September by Chase. They warned me that ****** had taken $129.99 out of my account & were not sure I had authorized the purchase. Chase’s email gave me 2 options… press a green button (yes, I authorized the purchase) or press a red button (no, there is something wrong). I had not authorized ****** to take that money so of course I immediately pressed the red button. I assumed Chase does business with the actual ****** company @ least tens of thousands of times a day & that Chase would not greatly alarm me with such an email if they did not think this “******” was a fraudster… WRONG. My debit card was immediately closed (which meant I had to spend over an hour going to various websites changing my payment method for those sites) & I could not access cash from an atm/etc. for about 2 weeks until I was sent a new card… insane. Chase emailed me to call them & they immediately opened up some sort of claim & had me contact ******. ****** let me know that they had taken the money & that was a default payment set up automatically by their system from a purchase I had made with them a year earlier. When I learned this I called up Chase & told them they had messed up by sending me such an unnecessarily alarming email & to stop what ever claim they had opened. It got WORSE… MUCH WORSE. Chase spent all of October calling & emailing me demanding I answer some questions I had already answered or they would give ****** back the $129.99 that I had never authorized. Well, two days ago on Nov. 2nd, Chase did just that… gave ****** the $129.99 I never authorized for them to take. So, despite the absolute stupidity of Chases’ staff over an entire month, I took care of this issue the way it should have been done in the 1st place… I called ****** & they simply issued me a refund in full. The idiots @ Chase should have simply sent me a short email stating that they were not sure I had authorized a purchase by ******… that simple.

Chase Credit card wrongfully approved a charged back request made by a buyer who falsely claimed it was an unauthorized transaction. ****** sent information to Chase proving that it came form his IP address and he authorized the transaction. This is theft Chase is steeling money from our business by allowing this charge back. They waited over three months to respond knowing full well that ****** licenses had been provisioned and we payed for the licenses. Chase had no intention of even responding, I had to contact ****** yesterday to let them know it has been over 75 days and they sent the request to Chase. This is not how you would expect a bank to act. We will not be accepting Chase credit cards from clients going forward.
