Pathetic customer service. Spoke to customer service which was useless. Was told I needed to speak to Branch Mgr to close a safe deposit box but couldn't find branch phone number (actually gave me the same number I called them on....genius) but said they would email the branch and mgr would call me. They did 2 days later and were just as useless. Said I needed to come into branch to close box (even after I said I was now 2 states away and would send notarized letter and box key). Couldn't help but escalted complaint to the complaints ***** Yep, you guessed it....just as useless. Worst customer I have seen in my life....just use another bank.

I have several accounts with Chase during last 10 years. All I can say is Chase checking/credit cards are just hassle. Chase online banking has a lot of issues. It happened to me that an auto payment didnt work! A NON scheduled payment has been deducted from my account!!!And when you contact them and ask them to fix it, they always just say we cannot do anything about it!! Please save your time and money and do not initiate any business with Chase.

Chase bank is the worst, back on April 25th I paid off my car loan, and its now September and another call to my DMV, and another call to chase, I've called chase more than 7 times, and they still haven't been able to get my title to me, they keep making excuses, and telling me to go to my DMV for the title. So now after all the calls I have to request a duplicate title from my DMV and pay a fee for the duplicate title. My DMV tells me that chase auto loan has been having lots of issues in this area. I will never use chase again, and take my accounts' else where's.

If I could leave 0 or negative stars, I would. I have a commercial car loan through Chase and have never missed a payment, as it's set up on auto-pay. I received a phone call, as well as a letter in the mail stating I'd missed a payment in July. I've spent HOURS on the phone with various people, as well as gone into a local branch with proof that they received the payment, and the electronic check was cashed on July 17 (payment due date is the 22nd of each month). Despite having provided all of this information to them, despite them acknowledging that they 'misplaced' the payment, and despite reassurances from one of the "Escalation Specialists" (******), on August 24, 2022, it was reported to the credit agencies that I was 30+ days delinquent with my payment and my credit score dropped 82 points. At this point, they cannot give me any type of timeline as to when this will be resolved and have not simply TAKEN OWNERSHIP of the fact that they screwed up, royally, and now I'm the one who is having to make DAILY calls to keep this on their radar. This company is CROOKED and I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere before using any of their financial services, as it is unfathomable that they 'misplaced' a car payment and then penalized the borrower for their mistake.

I have been consisting my monthly credit card payments at the beginning of the month, like I do all of my bills. I recently discovered that chase has been charging me a late fee each month. 28 in December. 35 in april,35 in june, 39 in July and 39 in August. I was unaware my payments weren't due on the first of the month also unaware I've been being charged late fees. Also why has the late fee gone up 11 dollars since December? I feel as though I am being stolen from. I contacted **********, account supervisor out of *********** ******** and he informed me that he would do nothing about 5 of the 6 late fee transactions. They already are enough off of interest fees and should do the right thing as it was clearly an honest mistake on my part. I have consistently paid them each month just apparently a couple days late. That should not cost me 176$ dollars. I am outraged and disgusted by their practices and I expect a proper resolution.

Never again. If you need a loan DO NOT use them. They requested hundreds of documents and every time I submitted they requested something else. They held onto the appraisal report for 11 days after receiving it before releasing it to me. One week from closing, they cancel the loan without any reason. I had to file a corporate complaint to even get a reason. A week later they tell me we couldn't verify your employment with your HR. One phone call could have resolved the issue, instead they just deleted my entire account and said they will not refund my $500. In addition to stealing my money, they will not release the appraisal report to my new lender to save me time on having to get a new appraisal. This bank is not your ally in the loan process, steer clear.

I closed my account ** they invested my family money in unapproved investments that were high risk. Unethical practices. Not to mention fees have become outrageous and now they can pick and choose who they cash US savings bonds for. This bank got a big taxpayers bailout and this is what we got in return. That's why they closing branches all over. Now I am with a local credit union and could not be happier. Big banks big problems.

I called in a few years ago to cancel my credit card which has annual fees. I accidentally found out it is still active. When I called 800 number, the system does not recognize my card after I entered full 16 digits and my zip code. But the customer service refused to refund my annual fees since this card is "active". How can a card be active when the system cannot recognize it. Customer service has no compassion at all.

Wife and I went into Chase to open both savings and checking accounts. We were ready to deposit $30,000 to open accounts, our credit ratings at the major 3 credit reporting agencies is well over 800. They would not open an account for us, they said we had to come back some other time. If this is how they treat customers trying to open an account, I can only imagine how they treat customers with banking issues.. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered at a bank. I am only giving 1 star because I can not rate 0 stars.

This bank closed my debit/checking account for NO REASON. Did not send me any mail regarding the closing and when I called told me that they sent my balance in a check to my address. I have not received this check. My account was with this bank for 20 something years without any problems. Then they close my account for absolutely No Reason and tell me after waiting 20 minutes on the phone that they are not obligated legally to give me a reason. The only thing I can think of is that I filed a complaint (with Chase) against the tellers in my bank branch and then they SHUT down my account in retaliation. What kind of banking is this? They do not give customers satisfaction and then side with their branch. The complaint was over rude service that I received from my branch (which online receives about one star in reviews). Then my account is shut down. How is this legal? Why is chase bank allowed to do anything they want and not have to explain to customers why they closed my account? I have never met such rude people as the ones at Chase ****** bank. I have banked with other banks and they are always more professional than Chase. This was very inconvenient as they are my only debit card. I sincerely hope that the bbb will do something about banks acting in this manner with NO Accountability. I have not engaged in any illegal activities yet Chase acts and treats their customers like criminals. In addition to which I have no idea when my money is going to be returned to me. Is this legal?Where is my balance money> Your branch at ********************* in the Bronx ***** is the rudest bank I have ever had encounters with. The other Chase branches aren't that bad but after 20 something years as a loyal customer at that branch you would think they would give you better service and not behave so abominably.. I would give that branch zero stars if I could. You should fire the branch manager not close my account.
