      I called to speak to an agent regarding an email I received but this company has agents with thick accents that I cant even understand. The email says my account is under a periodic review for a credit limit reduction unless I pay $3,700 in 3 days. My payment isn't even due for 3 weeks. The agent says she can't reach a supervisor for me to speak with. No one to talk to, no late payments history, no recourse. I want to negative stars. Beware of Amer Express.

      Horrible experience with their Executive representative. My husband had the misfortune of dealing with the rudest and most condescending rep. *** never identified herself and kept gaslighting him. As another customer reported. a credit report discrepancy caused his credit score to drop significantly. Hopefully, we will have better results with the *****

      Beware: American Express Travel does not honor representations from their own agents Never realized how much trouble folks have with American Express travel until reading other reviews online (although I'm not surprised given my frustrating experience as a 1st time customer!). I decided to book direct on the American Express website, where I specifically made a point to check with the online agent that my hotel reservation would include breakfast with the room's rate (just as it would if I had booked from another website). Upon arriving at the hotel for my vacation, we were dismayed to find out from the hotel that breakfast is extra. In what should have been a simple fix on the part of American Express by having them look back at my previous correspondence, I was told nothing could be done except if I wanted to pay for the breakfast on out of pocket and try to fight a claim in retrospect. This was very unfortunate for my situation given I repeatedly explained the issue with this to American Express's customer service: my family would only want to incur the daily breakfast charge (almost $400 USD given the number of rooms and nights of our stay, so not trivial) if I had some confirmation that it would ultimately be reimbursed given the fault was not my own. American Express did not seem to get the concept or have any sympathy for me as the customer, instead repeating that nothing else could be done and souring the start to our vacation. Ended up not wanting to risk it (given my low level of trust by that point) and had breakfast from cheaper restaurants on the street instead. It was a disappointment for my family all around, and we are not planning to book again with American Express, thereby closing the door on potential lifelong customers.

      I've been a member for more than 40 years. No more. One late payment - which I called and told them about in advance because my client was late paying me - and all of a sudden they imposed a spending limit and said I can no longer use my card until I'm below that limit. Claimed it had nothing to do with the late payment, which is total B.S. Now I have to change all my auto payments because they were my go-to card. They have ZERO RESPECT for long-time customers. Wil not use them again

      Have worked for years to lower my interest rate. Credit score is 791, no other credit cards. Things they told me effect my score. Still at "market rate " of 23%. Raised my interest rate while I was on a vent with covid.

      If I could give negative stars I would! This worst customer service experience I have ever had! I was one day late on payment, paid in full the following day. Have never had a late payment before but they refuse to reverse the late fee stating that I do not use the card enough for them to be lenient in this. I asked if they would rather lose me as a customer then credit me back the $29 and they said there was nothing they could do. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible customer service!! I will be closing this card and will not use American Express in the future!

      American Express sent me a promotional offer in the mail and they improperly use the wrong prefix to my name. I am a woman just to get things straight and they use Mr in the letter sent to me. This is very offensive and discriminatory towards me being one of your cardholders.
