Order number: ********** Date of Purchase: October 8th, 2023 Item Details: ****** Large Pebbled Leather Accordion Tote Bag I purchased a Michael Kors handbag online from their website. I received the bag, then sent it to my friend in ***** without opening it. I was very surprised when I knew that she found the bag to be defective when she opened it. Usually, I trust Michael Kors brand and I totally trust their quality so I didn't even bother to open the item to check it before I sent it to my friend in *****.Now, I have no way to get the bag back from ***** to *** so I can return it or exchange it with a non-defective one. And this is causing me much frustration !!I tried to contact Michael Kors customer service to resolve the issue expecting them to apologize and refund me the money back directly !! Only to be surprised again that they are asking me to return the item so I can be refunded the money back !! I tried to explain many times that I don't have any way to get the item back now and it's not even my fault !! Their item is defective and they have to pay for it !! They insisted that the only way to be refunded is to return the item back to their warehouse or store.After debating for so long with the customer service agent, the only resolution they gave me at the end is a very tiny percentage of discount if I want to keep the bag !!No, I don't want a defective bag of course !! And I'm not going through ALL this hassle for only a tiny amount of discount !! This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional !!Michael Kors is a brand that claims that it sells very high quality items !! And this was not the case with the bag that I got for my friend from their official website !! They should be ashamed of this and try to compensate their customers for such a bad experience.At last, I'm requesting a refund of the amount that I paid to at least compensate all this hassle and frustration that I went through and to make me able to ever trust this brand again.Initial Complaint

I purchased a Michael Kors *** tote from ********* in 2022. The weaving and stitching inside of the purse have unraveled completely on one side, leading me to believe that the stitching of this product was originally defective. I included multiple pictures of the damage to this complaint for a representative of the company to see. This is an expensive bag, and this unraveled stitching has created a large hole; making it unwearable due to its abysmal appearance. I can see down into the inside of the bag because of this large hole. The item description is the "Large ***********" in the color "Electric Pink," and I contacted the customer service rep - and was told the item was not under warranty (although the unraveling occurred before the 1-year warranty). I originally loved this item and I want to continue shopping at this company, however, the stitching work has left me with a purse that I haven't worn since it began to unravel. It seems that Michael Kor's is using cheap material, overcharging, and thing sticking customers with a one-year warranty and their bags weren't even built to last a couple month's before unraveling. I would like to speak to someone about this to get this bag repaired. I personally do not feel as though I have to pay for a bag that has stitching damage due to it not being stitched properly by the company. This is a manufacturing issue regardless of the warranty. In July of 2023, I placed an order on MichaelKors.com using an MK gift card. The order was not processed, but they deducted the cost of $63.00 off my gift card. It now says the amount is "pending".I've called multiple times to ask for this refund, and it's always escalated, but no one ever calls back. There's no supervisor to talk to, and no way to know if anyone is trying to solve the problem. It's now been over 6 weeks, and the issue is ongoing.Customer Answer

I bought a bag online on 09/19/2022.My Online Order Number "**********"Model "JET SET MEDIUM LOGO STRIPE CROSSBODY BAG" 10 months later, the bag started to show Rust in the Zipper.As per Michael Kors Online Warranty and Policy, All bags should have a 1-year Warranty against manufacture defects. Well it started as a gift that was returned for watches and Im not goin say it was a recent purchase but my issue is I called Michael kors repair was spoke to rudely by ERBIRCK he hung the phone up on me due to his lack of explaining but this started with gettin the battery changed then it stopped workin and they were two that were bought that dayCustomer Answer

On 8/19 I placed an order using a coupon code advertised within a ************** Deals for Moms. I received a confirmation of the order (attached) and then one on 8/24 that my order would be coming but had not yet been shipped. On 8/31 I contacted the company and received correspondence on 9/1 that the coupon code was considered fraudulent and the system does not accept the coupon. Except, it did. An order was placed. An update was sent. It was not until contacting the company that I was even made aware they had no intention of shipping my item that had already been paid for. After this information was shared, I asked for a physical address in which to use to file a BBB complaint. I was told on three separate emails that the customer service representative does not have that information available which is an outright lie, and speaks volumes to the level of integrity in which Michael Kors employees are expected to operate under. I had no way of knowing this was a fraudulent coupon. I use coupon codes with nearly every online order I purchase and have never been told an order would not be fulfilled because of an incorrect code- when the order has been processed, money collected, and a receipt sent.Customer Answer

I purchased jacket order # **********. Total ****** - 15% = ****** PLUS TAX = $****** on MY Master Card. I returned immediately as it was too large. I received email today where they try to trick a customer with the mention of GIFT CARD in hopes consumer wont catch/care and just give the company more bang for the buck as their merchandise is so overpriced anyway. Their hopes of duping the customer are clear here and confusing as well. Some customers may not understand or catch this but I did. I DID NOT HAVE A GIFT CARD, NOR EVER HAVE AND EXPECT THE ENTIRE AMOUNT TO BE CREDITED TO HOW I PAID, MASTERCARD ON FILE. BY STATING THAT A GIFT CARD WILL BE GENERATED IS A PLOY/ROTTEN MARKETING IN HOPES TO KEEP MY MONEY BY STATING I USED A Gift Card. I DID NOT AND I DO NOT WANT GIFT CARD. They wrote:We're sorry it didn't work out! We've received your return for the merchandise listed below. Once your request is processed, you will receive an eGift Card for the amount originally paid by gift card. Any remaining refund will be issued to your credit card.FIRST OF ALL, I DID NOT USE ANY GIFT CARD. 100% was charged to my Master Card, $142,59. THEY DO STATE ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT IF YOU USE PAYPAL, YOU GET REFUND BY GIFT CARD. THIS WAS NOT THE ***** I USED MASTER CARD. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SCAM TO INSTEAD REFUND ME HOW I PAID BY GIVING ME A GIFT CARD TO BUY MORE MERCHANDISE. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY TRICK A CUSTOMER BY THE ABOVE VERBAGE IN LETTER TO CONFUSE, DIRECT TOWARDS TRYING TO ISSUE A GIFT CARD THAT NEVER EXISTED, MORE MONEY FOR COMPANY! I made a order online at 150am on 8/26/23. I immediately realized I messed up on that order and did another order..of course your customer service was closed to cancel the 1st order. So I sent a email at 202am on 8/26/23. Called your office at 907am cst on 8/26/23. I spoke to a man there and told him to cancel the order. Then he tells me that he can not cancel the order since it has been passed 30 mins and to receive the order and send it back..I asked to speak to a supervisor. I held for about 5 mins then he comes back telling me that he put in a request to cancel the order I should receive an email saying the order is canceled or if I receive a tracking number to immediately call them and let them know so they can try and redirect the order..I then asked again for a supervisor he put me on hold for another 5 mins and came back and said the supervisor said he/she uses the same system and they would do the same thing.. I told him I asked to speak to the supervisor..he put me on hold again for another 5 mins and came back for the 3rd time saying the supervisor cant talk right now. I told him that I do not know why I have asked to speak to a supervisor 3x and not one has gotten on the phone but as a customer when a person asks to speak to a supervisor thats what I mean do not come back to the phone without one..he came back the 4th time saying the supervisor said he is on a call and it will take up to an hour to speak to me he can call me.back. I told the rep I guess we will be waiting that hour.. and been on hold over 20 mins at this point.. this is sad how your customer service supervisor refuses to get on the phone with customers. I called back and spoke with another rep by the name of ******* and asked for a supervisor and he got an attitude with me telling me why don't I wait on the other line for the supervisor.. where is the customer service at ******* kors with your over seas customer service reps! ***** me not want to shop at MK EVER AGAINInitial Complaint

I placed a bulk order on 6/22. One style is out of stock and they refunded me for it. However, there is another style they sent me the wrong items. I returned those wrong prodcuts which are way cheaper than the correct ones. I need Michael Kors to issue me a refund for the missing items they didn't send becuase they sent the wrong items. It took me 2.5 months just to get a return shipping label from Michael Kors. Their intention is very clear. They don't want to fix their error so they purposely delay the *************** process. I have not heard anything after I returned the wrong products on 8/4. I am still missing (24) small bags. The style number is ********** in Black. I paid $44.24 each. The total is $1,061.76.
