Crunch Fitness is a scam. They opened a facility in ****************, **. They advertise $9.99/month. When you sign up, they ask you to sign a quick series of screens. One of the screens says you agree to an "annual fee" for which they don't tell you the amount. I had to ask, and it was $64 a year. That basically increase the cost of membership by 50%. I went to speak with the manager about the false advertising, and he told me to leave the facility. Overall, an arrogant and non-transparent staff. It's blatant false advertising, and I wonder how many ********** signed without asking and will have that on their credit card this year.

My Crunch location has not cleaned the showers for weeks if not months. Lots of mold and I get different stories why cleaning is not happening. Half the showers don't drain and we are left standing in 2 inches of water. Water in locker room floor appears to be coming from leaking toilets. Pool is often murky and can't see the bottom. Hot tub has been closed by the county board of health. In spite of all of this neither the county nor city has authority to inspect and require cleaning. After reading other reviews it's unlikely that corporate office will do anything. ****** ********* location. Wish there was a zero star rating.

Terrible company. They force you to sign up for the highest membership and then wont let you cancel. Also, the customer service is non existent.

Title: Difficulties in Cancelling Membership - Wellinghton ******* I recently found myself in an unfortunate situation when trying to cancel my subscription due to relocation. I expected the cancellation process to be straightforward; however, to my surprise, it proved to be quite the opposite. When I contacted the company to notify them of my move and express my desire to cancel the subscription, I was met with an unexpected response. They informed me that cancellation was not an option. It felt like my hands were tied, as they further elaborated that if I didnt adhere to some undisclosed penalties, my information would be passed on to debt collectors.I was taken aback by this rigid policy, especially since life circumstances like moving are sometimes beyond our control. The experience left me feeling trapped and undervalued as a customer. In my opinion, companies should offer more flexibility and understanding when it comes to cancellations, particularly in situations where circumstances are beyond a customer's control.I advise anyone dealing with this company to be wary and thoroughly read through their terms and conditions, especially regarding cancellation policies, to avoid any unwelcome surprises. It is crucial to know what you are getting into and to be prepared for the unexpected. In closing, my experience with attempting to cancel my subscription was far from pleasant and has raised concerns regarding the company's customer service and policies.

Please pull the phone call from a michkie at crunch fitness in *********, ** 5/9. She is an unprofessional, attitude-ridden, mean girl! I called, explained when I enrolled & how much my membership was & my confusion on the charge & before I even finished she interrupted to explain, this annual fee. Im a little frustrated & I said, its just a little frustrating I was never told- & she interrupted me AGAIN, to tell me, verbatim, you actually are told about the annual fee when you sign up. & I said to her, okay but what ** explaining is that I was not- and again, the girl interrupted ME TO SAY, I kid you not, well if youd let me talk! Youre not letting me talk!! All in the midst of my sentence. A sentence I started first & she in fact, was the one to interrupt. *At that point is when she said the, well I cant do anything for you so you can call when my manager will be in at * you can call back. *click* When I did call back? She placed me on hold for mins, got back on the ********* asked, did you hang up on me? While providing customer service? Honestly? She responded with her voice raised, again, stating YOU ARE NOT LETTING ME TALK! I said maam! YOU are interrupting ME! At this rate I dont understand why you are being so RUDE! she then decided to raise her voice at me again to justify herself in that, well she had been up for three hours?!, - verbatim, that was her explanation for hanging up on me, raising her voice. I responded, & so have I? With a child! She THEN RESPONDED okay, so? Me too! & HUNG UP! Well? Guess what, ******. Im a single mother to a child who is ill and Ive been up ALL. NIGHT. longer than the hours you mentioned by the way, for days actually because my baby is ill & in the hospital. Ive been up for days, ******, and then to only drive to work, like I do every. Single. Day.

I went into Crunch Fitness in ********** *********** ***** and I just wanted to do a free trial to see if I would like it and the associate said I had to pay like 10$ to do a day pass. I was confused said every gym usually has a free week or 3 day pass to which he said no we dont do that you would have to get the days pass. So reluctantly I paid the fee. To then which I checked online to see they have a 3 day pass free of charge . I go back to the associate at the front desk and showed him this 3 day pass. he responded with if you would like I can also get you that. I said I wouldve wanted something like this from the beginning instead of being charged for something most gyms do not for a trial. I said I would like my 10$ back and if you can sign me up for the 3 day pass. He responds with sorry its too late I already did the transaction and the register is closed. Is voiding and refunding a customer too advanced of a technology? I paid it with cash as well so I know for sure you can just open up register and resolve all this. They start acting smug and saying well this is a franchise we dont know what corporate is offering . This logic does not makes sense for a few reasons. If I did sign up for the 3 day pass they would apply it for me. So corporate rules do apply to this location. Maybe not all but this one in particular does. Secondly, they make it seems like its my responsibility to know they are a franchise and they shouldnt know what corporates basic offerings are to all crunch gyms. What if I was a person that had no access to internet , or no knowledge of how to use it. Accommodations should be applied to everyone regardless of what they have access to. Decent gym. But the way they finesse people for a quick buck is hysterical. I just wanted to try out the gym and compare it to the others that all have been upfront and did not charge me for something I asked . If you ask for a trial and they charge money. Go find another gym.

0 Stars as I am dealing with a collection agency due to the total incompetence of their manager, ****. Not only did I pay the money I owed Crunch (timely, before collection) but I was charged money after I cancelled membership. Although I explained in writing multiple times, they won't correct is***. Also I was hung up on twice by the collection agency when I called their number and was very polite. If this harassment continues, I may *** them.

I signed up for a free week, they were running a promo at this time for .02 cents for one month, apparently reading other reviews, they are always running a promotion in which it is not a promo and they will charge you. I sign up for .02 cents for one month on 2-19-2023, I went to cancel today 3-13-2023 cause I already had a gym membership elsewhere., they said I couldn’t cancel until I paid them for 2 months and an annual fee. They charged me 113.95 to cancel a gym I tried out but decided not to switch over to. That isn’t a “promotion” That’s a ******* scam. What the ****. Literally, what can be done about this?? I want that money back at the bar minimum, ideally I wasn’t forced policy change so they can’t practice things like that ethically?? And furthermore even more ideally some type of large corporate financial penalty so no other business in America could ever in their wildest dreams even attempt to knowingly deceive people to ***** them over like this. Maybe even a class action lawsuit. Literally as much as possible, I can’t let this rest. How am I suppose to let this happen?? Please bbb , anyone, please please help
