      I am extremely unhappy with Crunch. They rope you in to paying an annual fee even after you cancel your membership. Corporate does not have a phone number, only an email and does not work with you under any circumstances. Please save yourself some money and get a membership at another gym. Their gyms are also very small and have too many people. This company is a complete scam.

      On 1/17 I was coming straight from work to the gym and I put my stuff in a locker with a locker lock. I found out later that my gym signed up a new member 2 days ago without an ID. She told the gym staff she didn't have it and they signed her up anyway. This lady chatted me up in the locker room. Looking back I know that chatting me up was a way for her to buy time as I took out my gym stuff from my bag. Being a supportive gymer, I told her to reach out if she needed help on any machine. An hour in, I was shocked that I hadn't seen her on the gym floor at all. When I returned to my locker, my lock was cut off and taken, my wallet was gone, and my car key was gone. Within an hour she had charged $1,000 to my credit card at ******, and used my cards at 2 different gas stations. After speaking with staff members, they went against protocol by admitting that another wallet/keys were stolen a week prior, that they signed a member up without any form of ID and fake information, and then went against protocol by showing me all of her information in their system: full name, address, phone #'s, job, etc. They also went against protocol by not taking a photo of her, which is required when joining the gym. Never trust this business.

      They refused to cancel my account at my local branch. They gave noncommittal excuses of why it was not possible, and I would have to call their corporate to cancel. I went to to a different branch near by, and young lady behind the desk glad went into her computer and said she canceled my membership. Nearly two years later I just received a creditor call reporting I never canceled my membership and I owe them money. My credit must have been suffering for a while. Very unprofessional and a terrible business plan.

      Cancellation process is horrible!!! I cancelled after a bad experience with personal trainer ****** at the ********* ***** location. Immediately I requested to cancel at the end of AUG 2022. They continue charging me on OCT, November and December. I disputed the charges with my bank and was told The Merchant states claims those are valid, HOW?? I dont recommend them, and will never look in that direction again

      The parking lot outside of Crunch Fitness has the most horrible cesspool problem that is also entering the gym.No one seems to care. The staff are all aware. Yet Crunch Fitness has yet to address this. They are a brand new facility. The cesspool problem was never corrected for the amount of people using the restrooms. This is horrible. And the bathrooms are never kept clean. Locker never vacuumed. No paper. No soap. Uggggg

      I gave written notice via email on 5/21/2022 to cancel the membership. For 6 months I have been billed on my debit card. This is just a shame that a gym has no integrity in how they bill and treat the members of a community who let them in. This is just unacceptable. Someone needs to get Bay News 9 or News Channel 8 involved to expose this franchise. There is NO customer service number to corporate- they list one, but you'll get a recording "this phone is not monitored" so don't waste your time calling ************ like they portray on their website. *********************************  Just fraudulent misleading at the least, information all over this company. Sad disgrace!

      Never was told after communicating via text, that you need 30 days notice to cancel. Never said that. Only that it takes 5 minutes. I go in to cancel and was told 30 notice is needed and one more payment will come out. I said BS!! You never said that in my texting you! He then confirmed no invoice was made and my account would not be charged anymore. It was charged today 4 days later. In one year, we went there once. I had a major operation Sept 1, 2022 and couldn't even go here. Doctor noted. Completely controlled when you want to cancel. Taking advantage the fact I couldn't walk, move or exercise. Take my money no problem. Same thing at *********. Do not recommend. Get a gym at home.

      Cancellation process is a nightmare. Must be in person to cancel. Tried to cancel during the pandemic while everything was shut down. My fault for not getting a confirmation but TWO YEARS later, my credit card changed and they're sending to collections because they haven't gotten payment for a gym membership I haven't used in 5 years. They absolutely refused to cancel what I thought was already canceled until I paid past-due amount. So we're in a stalemate. I refuse to pay and they refuse to cancel.

      Preditory Columbia SC center. I was sent a promotion card through the mail for a 1$ to sign up. I was told that I had the option of a month to month contract, which is great to me. When I signed up, they had me stand behind the counter and gave me a e-signature pad. Currently, my work schedule is hendering me from working out because of 12 hour shifts, which only leaves the weekends, and lets be real, sleep is need and I have a family.
      I called the facility and expressed my issues to ****. He informed me that I was in a 12 month commitment and that there was nothing that they could do. I asked about cancellation fees and if that was an option, he replied no. I asked for a copy of my contract and he sent it by text and to my surprise, NONE OF IT WAS MY HANDWRITING. I was outraged and then he refered me to email billing.
      I emailed billing and have been speaking with ****** for the last couple of days. I have asked for corporates information and she told me there is no corporate office, only her. I informed her of the situation. Not ONE time has she asked me to show her the paperwork, not one time has she offered cancellation fees or anything. I was a prior member or ***** *** and they do not have one availble where I live. ****** still has not resolved my issue. BEWARE AND ASK QUESTIONS. Dont be preyed opon like I was.
