This is a scam. What kind of good service would force you to pay before knowing what they total services provided would be. I subscribed to see what on earth Id be paying them for and figured out its overpriced and not worth it. I went to cancel my subscription and lo and behold. I get charged for a box that I dont want. Way to be an honest business. I hope they fail.HelloFresh

1 starDeceptive, on the verge of scamming. I kept receiving monthly promotions to return as a customer and get 18 free meals. I was curious so I logged in to browse meal selection variety, I selected 2 meals and added the promo code. The promo code didn't work and I removed the selections I made. Later I received email notification that my papal was charged for two meals. Apparently my payment method from 4 yrs ago was still saved and reactivated. I tried canceling through ****** but they could only cancel any future payments from reoccurring and to contact HelloFresh for this payment already sent. I tried canceling on HelloFresh website but it said I couldn't. I started a virtual chat and asked to cancel and they said because my delivery date was within 4 days they couldn't cancel because they require cancelations within 5 days of delivery. This felt like a scam because I didn't select a delivery date, the system defaulted to a date that was conveniently 4 days away so they can later tell you that you can't cancel. I kept asking the virtual chat assistant to cancel, it forwarded me to a real customer service agent who repeated the same policy and that they don't have the ability to cancel. 3 times I replied that the response was unacceptable and I requested to chat with someone who did have access to cancel. Finally my case was elevated and I was transferred to someone else who proceeded to repeat that they couldn't cancel but that they would make a 1 time exception for me and cancel. I knew that they could but they were trying to convince me they couldn't. I then asked them to delete my account.Review fromErika S

Had to create an account to look at recipes, found nothing I liked so I deactivated my account. My cc was charged right away. I contacted customer service and had a few interactions but now that I have given all the requested information, suddenly there is no answers. It is ridiculous I even have to initiate a request for a refund from something I never bought.HelloFresh

Hello fresh is anything but customer friendly. I contacted them in June to halt shipments because I would be out of the country through September. They did haul shipments through July but then started shipping in August through today, which is September 16, 2024. I have given six of these boxes to my yard man. He comes twice a week and now he has to come weekly to pick up these boxes so the food doesnt spoil. I have contacted them twice with my grievance to no avail the boxes keep coming. I dont recommend HelloFresh to anyone who lives busy life. The product is only fair; I wouldnt call it good. Their business practices are even worseHelloFresh

Our goal is to make the subscription as easy as possible for you to manage, and we never want to catch anyone by surprise! After checking the records, we found out that the skipping of the orders was placed and requested from your end and was just set up until 8/30/2024. You have the ability to extend the skipping or editing the orders two weeks in advance! We also send a reminder email each Monday, prompting you to login and make any changes prior to your cutoff. After the cutoff, when orders are placed, we are unable to cancel or change orders. Setting a personal reminder on your phone or calendar is a great way to never miss making necessary changes to your order!

I was surprised to get a message this morning that a box was on the way as I had cancelled my subscription August 1. I looked for proof of cancellation, but couldn't find an e-mail. I'm very diligent when it comes to my money and subscriptions. Calling customer service provided no help so I have no recourse but to take and pay for this box. I was chalking this one up to not following up on the cancellation until I read all the other reviews here on BBB. Do not trust hello fresh.HelloFresh

You have to subscribe to even look at their options and even if you decide it isn't for you and cancel. They is a separate process you have to go through to cancel their "default" options they automatically send to you. No refund. Nothing they can do. They are sneaky AHs with this default BS!!!HelloFresh

1 starThe WORST customer service I have ever received. Signed up using a promotion email for the free ******* pan, the promotion was fraudulent though apparently, because it is not the promo that you will end up signing up for. They put me on a back and forth with getting a ******* pan, of telling me I'm getting it making me reach out to ******* for assistance, then telling me I cannot get the pan.
