      I worked with New York Life Benefit Solutions last year and they did work with me at one time. But I had to work with them again due to a medical need that came up and they took along time submitting my claim and getting back with me. And they never did let me know what my status was regarding my last claim and I was out of work on medical leave for a month and a half due to a medical disability. It's like they take a long time to get back you and require a lot of documentation but try not to approve it and compensate a claim even though it's medically necessary. The agent I was last assigned to wouldn't return some of my phone calls when I called to require about my claim. I can't recommend them.

      Our claim manager called and left message for Ms. **** on 3/28/23 requesting callback to discuss her concerns, and advising her of the status of her claim and appeal rights. Letter was also mailed 3/14/23 detailing her claim status.

      This company ruins lives!!! Talked to many advocates and they all tell you something different!! Lies lies lies!! Why have insurance if they dont pay when you really need it. They are ruining my life!!! They say they are there to help get better which is another lie!!

      Not receiving responses from the staff after multiple voicemail messages. In addition, the claim manager assigned to me in early October 2022, left in late February 2023. After a new claim manager was assigned to me, the denial came back with in a week. Much of the information in the report was inaccurate. I have mad multiple requests for copies of all documents and of course no response. Get an attorney if you have to deal with this group.

      My Disability payments used to be through *********** Benefits Solutions. Unfortunately they are now through New York Life. I never received my paper paycheck for February, so two weeks later and after MANY calls, they overnighted a check. It cost me nearly $1000 in late fees. They supposedly set up Direct Deposit to ensure I would get my payment. It was supposed to be in my account today. They said they confirmed everything was set up correctly, then yesterday found out the payment was rejected due to a coding error. It was issued on March 1st, and they did not know of the issue until the 9th. They did not warn me or communicate with me at all. I had to call them again to tell them I did not receive my payment, my Direct Deposit. Once again, I have been assured that they corrected the error and reissued the Direct Deposit. However, it is now Friday so the Direct Deposit will be delayed due to the weekend! Once again I am left with auto payments not going through! I am very ill, having residual issues from a bone marrow transplant. Stress is a major trigger for my GVHD. I got Covid after last months payment debacle. My already-compromised immune system was made worse by the lack of sleep and anxiety these issues have caused. NY Lifes internal processes and communication is beyond flawed. I have no faith this months issue is truly resolved either, even though I have been assured I will have my Direct Deposit soon.

      My company switched from cigna to NYLGBS last year. I can only speak to my case manager, and on the phone shes hateful, ******************* lies about things that Im looking at, at the same exact time shes speaking the lie!! I decided to stop utilizing their consultants to pursue SSDI & hired my own law firm instead. Then she froze 70% of my *** benefits even though she legally cant punish me for making that decision. I think she must file ******* attorneys letters in the trash. She continually sends me letters stating she cant reach me even though my number IS updated on their system (per operator). She makes threats that Im going to be denied every time I have to talk to her or she sends me mail. This is so stressful and theres no way to change it.

      Our claim staff placed three calls to the customer on 3/10/23 and 3/13/23, with the first call going to voicemail and the other two attempts no option to leave voicemail. No response was received. Letter dated 3/13/23 has been mailed to the customer detailing the recent steps taken on her claim. She may also call into our staff at ************ for update on the additional steps taken.

      They will do anything not to pay you. I have sent them *everything* they have asked for. My doctor has provided everything they've asked for. They've even agreed that Family Medical Leave Act applies in my situation! But they've still denied my claim. For lack of medical information. Even though my doctor has absolutely provided medical information. Everyone knows what's going on before I do. My boss knows the status of my claim before I do. They insist on sending everything through the mail, and if it gets lost then that's my fault apparently. You can ask to be notified by any other method... you won't be. Oh they'll tell you that they will, but it won't happen. Do not trust them. If your employer uses them for your insurance benefits, be on high alert at all times. You will have to fight for everything, and fight hard.

      New York Life is guilty of either fraud or gross mismanagement. They are raising the life insurance premiums of a group life insurance policy that is about 40 years old claiming the right to do so as a result of their "claims experience." Given the increasein life expectancy only fraud or gross mismanagement could explain this claim.

      I would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! 3 months now and payment has not been sent. It's always, I need to place you on hold, while they take a bathroom break or smoke a cigarette, and then they come back on to say, call back Friday, it's been 3 months of running around with them!

      Was T-boned by pick up truck 12/5/22. In STD ***** they dont pay.. I mean they dont pay you even though Dr your seeing sends in records. They lie and say they didnt get it. Got check after 6 weeks no pay. All gone owed out to people. Now waiting and still in pain on shoulders. Cant talk to anyone when I call. If I do, they just act stupid like they dont know anything about my ongoing claim. Terrible insurance,..

      You can’t get in totch with any one. Last time I spoke with my claim agent she said I was approved and would be notified within 2 to 3 days of the amount of back pay and amount of payments her name is Ann . That was 4 weeks ago and I have called left message after message . Today I received a letter that says it’s still under review . I don’t understand I had a triple by pass and a stroke my company I worked for will not let me return due to my health I’m 61 yrs old I have no income doctor bills and all my other bills are behind on payment. Why want they help. ****** *******
