    on 2/22/23, depop closed my account with over $100 pending that they now refuse to pay out. they are straight up stealing.

    Dear ***/*****,I am writing to file a complaint against Depop with regards to a recent dispute with buyer @cgc2 I was the seller @sallybeauty in this transaction, and I strongly believe that I was treated unfairly by the company.On 18 Feb 2023 the buyer purchased an item from me through Depop. After two weeks, the buyer requested a return and opened a dispute, claiming that the item was inauthentic. However, I have proof of purchase receipts and order confirmations to demonstrate that the item is indeed authentic. Despite this, Depop strongly believes that the item is counterfeit and has requested that I refund the buyer in full.Furthermore, during my interactions with Depop's employees, one of them accused me of being rude and abusive, which is untrue. This employee then asked their colleague to block my account, preventing me from using the platform further. I find this behavior to be unprofessional and unfair.I have repeatedly tried to communicate with Depop's customer support team to resolve this issue, but I have not received a satisfactory response. I feel that my rights as a seller have been violated and I have been unjustly accused of selling counterfeit goods. As a result, I am seeking your assistance in resolving this matter.I would appreciate it if you could investigate this dispute and help me reach a fair and just resolution. I am willing to provide any additional evidence or information to support my claim of authenticity.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.********************

    I tried logging into my account, to find it deactivated. It helps pay for my medical costs as I am disabled. So, you can see how deeply distressing this is. ===I got an email from Depop on 2/7/23 at 3:21AM that said, We're getting in touch to let you know that we received a copyright infringement takedown notice from Dolls Kill, due to this we have removed the following item(s): -Dolls Kill Darker Wavs necklace===How can my account be closed for copyright infringement when all Im doing is reselling a new necklace that I received from Dolls Kill? I still have a receipt from when I purchased it, it came with a shirt.===The email also said, We also ask that you review your shop and remove any further infringing content within the next 48 hours. Doing so will avoid any further account issues and ensure that your shop is in compliance with our policies.===However, 2 minutes after this email, I received another email that said, We're reaching out to let you know that your Depop account has been closed. We reviewed the following listings which are general examples of your listing activity, all of which are against our Terms of Service : - Dolls Kill Darker Wavs necklace===this account suspension is permanent and you wont be able to open further accounts with us on Depop.===Wrong on Depops side: 1. I was told I had 48 hours to look into this, I was given 2 minutes between warning and account deletion. 2. My compliant listing was taken down for not being compliant, and with no evidence. 3. My account was permanently closed for copyright infringement, when there was no copyright infringement. 4. All of this because I was reselling an item on a site designed for reselling items. ===I've spent 8 years on Depop building my follower base, and their trust, just to have my account deleted for something my account was not guilty of. I would include the "infringement" listing as evidence, but I no longer have access to it.

    depop is the worst app to sell , i started selling on the app for not even a year and i was doing good made almost 9k off sells no bad reviews or complaints from buyers till this month a BUYER from august that even gave me 5 stars after item was delivered decides to make a claim around january 3rd 2023 claiming he received a fake item and he not just keeps my item he gets a refund of around 100 off me . i was going back and fourth with depop because depop banned me permanently and kept my almost $900 payment that was on hold before getting banned i had also shipped all the items out , all where delivered. Im so upset that depop took my money and didnt want to release it all and is now ignoring me. I also had asked depop for receipt or screenshot of what i had in my depop account before getting banned and i just got ignored this isnt fair that depop is keeping the money that was on hold almost a thousand dollars and banning me too. Ive tried contacting depop and ive got ignored or depop emails me saying they wont release my funds etc. I really dont know what to do in this situation and its so upsetting i wasnt selling on the app for long either. i also have evidence of all the items i had shipped out before getting banned which those items was most of the money that was on hold.

     I have emailed and texted depop on ******* and its either depop replys with the same statement. Yesterday i got a email basically saying i wont receive my money at all or get my account back. I dont agree with depop taking my money. Depop doesnt want to work with me and is just ignoring me when i ask about my almost $900 that was on the account. Its not right that a big company can just take someones money.

    My daughter ***************** sold a few things on the site. She has been unable to access her money even though weve helped her set up a PayPal account. Depop is withholding money were not sure why theyre making it extremely difficult for her to get her money from the sales.

    I was an active seller on the Depop platform for over a year with a great reputation and reviews. No issues whatsoever. I had a listing up for 3 days, and within two minutes it was deleted and I was banned from the platform. Depop has mistakenly accused me of selling a prohibited item, which was a fake skull head that hangs on the wall. I stated in the title and description that it was a fake/replica. I was banned and wiped from the website, and all I had was email communication. I was not given a warning, nor was I given a chance to defend myself and the item in question. Depop then went on to slander me and said that I posed a threat to the community. I was passed around to many of the Team Depop individuals and not one of them could tell me what category the item fell under, as I was told different things. Per their policy, Depop states that they will work with a user to rectify a situation, but they would not handle my case appropriately. They told me to consider myself banned and any new accounts will be deleted and reported. Their allegations are preposterous and demeaning, as I did nothing wrong and I have the evidence proving that. Defamation aside, they are WITHHOLDING funds made from my last two sales during Christmas. The total is $56.98 and I have proof of that. The items have since been delivered and Depop has stated they will NOT be fulfilling or processing ANY further payouts to my account, per their emails which I have. I am willing to do all that I can to be justified and to, most importantly, receive the funds that are mine. I dont know, legally, how they are able to do this as I am not sure what happens to funds sitting idle.They have since ceased all communication with me. I have since posted everywhere including social media and a ******* video. I will execute any and all avenues to be justified and to receive the funds that are mine.

I would like to know if my complaint/review will still be published on the BBB website, because the reason that Depop gave me is completely false as to what happened, and I still stand by my original complaint. I just want others to be aware and cautious, and I feel that my complaint will help that.

    My Depop account has been deactivated I didnt receive an email notifying me that this decision was made instead I wasnt able to login to my account through the app. After sending several messages I received a response stating that my account was closed without an explanation. I sold two items I have attached screenshots I am owed the payout for those two items. It is illegal to keep my earnings from sales I have completed. I havent violated Depop policy I have receipts for the items I listed so I dont understand. I am fine with the account being closed after experiencing this problem I have no interest in selling on Depop but I want my payment for the two sales I made on Depop. Depop has already taken their fees from my sales so my payment needs to be credited to my bank account on file.

    I sold a two piece set on October 8. I have had a Depop account for three years now but it was de-activated for a few months due to non-use. I reactivated it in September, 2022 and sold an item on October 8. Previously I had used PayPal but apparently now you have to also set up depop payments program. Which I have done and also added lots of personal information including my bank account- why wasnt PayPal still an option? Im really disappointed but now I have additional personal information floating online and I still cant even access my money. Despite doing this my money still shows on hold for 10 days even though its been past 10 days and now bordering 13 days. I have reached out to the help online template twice this week for assistance and clarification on why I cant get my funds. I have still not received a response. My money is just sitting in this account with no one willing to help me and no transparent way to access these funds. Their multiple payment systems (is it PayPal l? Stripe? Who decides how I am even paid?) is extremely convoluted and requires you to go outside of the app to fill out forms. Its not user-friendly and sellers should not have to go through this many obstacles to access funds. Especially when you shipped my items promptly and my buyer left me a nice message and feedback

    A return was approved for a buyer without me being allowed to dispute it. I have the invoice for the purchase of Dior sandals I sold that proves authenticity the sandals were new in the box just as pictured and described in the listing. A seller is supposed to be allowed to provide evidence or information to support their sale at the time a request for return/refund is submitted. Depop is attempting to deduct $143.56 from my bank account for the buyer @************ purchase of Dior sandals. The buyer didn't message me about returning the sandals and now the buyer has not only been refunded but also still has the Dior sandals I sold, I haven't received my sandals back which is what is supposed to happen when a return is granted. Depop is basically making me take a lost with taking the funds from the sale back and also not returning my sandals back to me which is unfair. I would like assistance reaching a resolution that is fair to me as a seller because I do not accept the response I've received from Depop.

    After reading the other complaints Im really not surprised, I am concerned however. Depop is refusing to payout $13. Yes just $13. They say they will, but everyday the pay date is moved to tomorrow. Its day 12. They recently changed policies without informing anyone. Depop Payments is a scam. I know from past experience that buyer protection does not exist. Seller protection also does not exist. Not sure why they even have employees. The hide behind zen desk which is VERY a hard to find to begin with. 6 emails later, all copy paste script responses and all contradictory to each other. Some answers have made no sense. Its $13 and I am so embarrassed for their souls right now. But the ************ confirmed **** had to bail them out because they are sinking in debt and very unprofitable. DO NOT BUY OR SELL HERE And yes of course Im verified and over 18
