Ive used depop for the last week or 2 making lots of orders , Ive made over 1200 with them , they hold the money into they account wanting you to ship all orders out which is fine , youll have to wait til after delivery to receive funds within 2-5days after they already received there product, your account get banned suspended for no reason on top of money sitting in the account you cant get at all , I find it crazy bro.Initial Complaint

On April 18, 2025, Depop permanently deactivated my account without prior notice, warning, or any specific reason given. My listings consisted solely of standard legal items a CD and clothing and I have never engaged in any activity that would reasonably violate their terms of service.Upon contacting Depop Support, I was told:We cant share specific details. What we can say is that any action taken is to ensure the safety of our users.They further stated that the decision was final and that no appeal or further discussion would be allowed.This lack of transparency and refusal to offer due process is not only dismissive of consumer rights but may also fall under deceptive or unfair business practices. Terminating access to a platform that facilitates commerce without clear reasoning or opportunity to remedy the issue breaches fundamental standards of fair dealing and good faith. Users deserve clarity, not automated enforcement hidden behind vague statements.Desired Outcome:1.A clear and specific explanation of what policy was allegedly violated.2.An opportunity to appeal or challenge the ban.3.A review of Depops enforcement practices related to automated bans and non-transparent decisions.If this matter remains unresolved, I will escalate it to the ***, my states attorney general, and other applicable consumer protection agencies.Customer Answer

On April 8th 2025 I sold an item on Depop. After selling said item, I was prompted to ship the item. I shipped the item on the 10th. As per Depop rules, you will receive your payout after the item is delivered. The item was delivered on the 16th of April. Immediately after the item was delivered safely, Depop issued the buyer a full refund with no reason! Ultimately, the buyer now has my item AND the money paid for the item. I have ALL proof. Depop support will not respond to my emails. I am extremely frustrated. They literally robbed me out of a beloved item and the money I was supposed to have for the item.Initial Complaint

I ordered a sweatshirt on 3/16. 3/20 seller claimed to have shipped. 03/23 shipping wasn't updated and **** did not have possession of item. 03/24 I contact depop (via "contact us" form) to ask if I would be protected in the case that I didn't receive the item and the seller got paid. I was told that I would and that if 10 days passed from date of sale and there was no shipping update to "open a case". 3/25 I received an email from depop stating the order had shipped. 3/26 I got another email from depop stating I was refunded. I also got an accusatory message from seller stating depop told her I opened a case knowing the item was coming. 03/28 She said depop informed her I needed to repurchase. 3/28 I contacted depop asking why I'd been put in this situation. "****" said I wasn't "obligated to repurchase" and to block the seller if needed. 3/29 I received the item and offered to repurchase, seller declined stating depop was helping her. 4/4 Depop sends me an email stating I must repurchase or pay to ship it back and they would reimburse me. I sent a copy of the email I was sent stating I didn't have to repurchase. 4/14 I get a message from HQ "*****" states they didn't have updated shipping info when they told me this. This is a lie. As stated depop sent me the email "order shipped" on 3/25, 3 days before I was told that, and a day before I was refunded. The shipping ON DEPOP was also updated. I also told them the item was on the way in my message, that they then replied "you're not obligated to repurchase". Depop made the error of refunding, they admit this in their email. They made the error stating I didn't have to purchase and now want the CONSUMER to pay for their error. They use intimidation tactics threatening my account to free themselves of responsibility. When a large company refuses accountability and puts their mistakes on the consumer, trust is broken. I have gifted the item since I was told I could keep it and no longer have it.Customer Answer

Its a fake and when I accused the seller and got a negative feedback and didnt get a refund. **************** side with the seller when the seller gave them bogus receipt for fake item. Need money owed released to me and this business needs to re-evaluate their business practices as they are running their operation via bots and appearing to be a scam. All completed transactions dated 3/25, 3/26, 3/27, and 3/28 with posted total of $209.68 are due to me immediately. I am filing this complaint regarding Depop, which is owned by ***************** Depop account was suspended after I had already shipped 3 pairs of shoes to buyers. My total earnings were over $200, and I had already connected my bank account for payouts. However, I never received the money.I contacted Depop support multiple times over several weeks, but I have not received any response. I also checked with my bank ******* and confirmed there were no deposits or pending transactions from Depop. There has been no communication explaining the reason for the suspension or why my payout was withheld.I am simply requesting that Depop either:1.Release the funds I rightfully earned, or 2.Provide a clear explanation as to why the payout was blocked.I can provide proof of the shipments and tracking numbers, and I fulfilled my end of the sales. The date of the transaction is 4/3/25 for the purchase of a clothing item ($45) shipped from another Depop seller.The item says it was delivered on 4/9/25 but I did not receive the item.I opened an investigation with ************ Request # ******** online and contacted them via phone. They agreed it was not my usual delivery person. It says it was left outside on the porch but I do not have a front porch as I live inside an apartment building in an urban city.Depop website and policy clearly states it will protect the buyer and refund for lost packages. *** opened a claim with the seller and didnt hear any resolution back and Depop itself said they cant provide the refund going against their own policy. They also state if the seller doesnt provide a resolution within 48 hours that they will provide a refund, which they also did not do as I opened the claim on 4/9.I have contacted Depop multiple times and they told me to contact ****. **** tells me to contact the sender as they will have to provide the refund or replacement (which a replacement isnt possible in this case since its a one of one item).Please advise as I have been scammed of $45 as a result, as well as lost my time and goodwill in this shady, deceptive company that doesnt provide the protection it claims to for its customers. Please assist in this refund as I have been scammed of $45 for an item I did not receive and have been misled by a business that doesnt practice or protect the customer in any way shape or form to the level it should be for an operation of this size/scale. Sold a dress on Depop, shipped dress and confirmed by email of buyer they received the dress. Depop cancelled my status as a seller as soon as I sold an item and when I asked why I was blocked from account and what I did to violate their terms: and was told they cant tell me what terms I violated-that it would now be 30 days after the sale before I can receive funds. I emailed on the 30day post sale and have can not get a clear answer on what status I am in; or when my funds will be sent.Customer Answer
