i purchased a paid of heels. they came in much worse condition than described and much smaller than seller stated. they had no size listed and i guess the seller took a guess and with measurements was several sizes off. i tried them on to see if they fit and the soles of both soles completely came off.i i contacted the buyer with no response and then depop.depop stated i could not return because i had worn them. they said that customers trying on items excludes them from eligibility for returns and that this is stated in their policy. i ** is not stated in their policy or FAQ. when i addressed that they were too small (which is clearly stated as a reason for receiving a refund), that was ignored repeatedly. no one could point me to the part in the policy that stated the comment about trying on an item.Customer Answer

Depop has suspended my account with orders still pending & funds to paid out to me. I explained they need to ***** my account so I can make sure I receive the items & funds but have yet to do so. We intentionally limit our business on Depop due to longstanding concerns related to reports of child exploitation documented by ************************* Additionally, weve encountered consistent issues with Depops customer service.On March 18, 2025, our listing for a *************************** ***** ******* **************** ******* Navy Gradient Swingman Jersey (MSRP $135) was once again removed from the platform. This marks the fifth time this listing has been taken down, despite Depop reinstating it four times after reviewing our photographic proof and valid business receipts, which are part of our official tax documentation.This time, we were treated disrespectfully and unprofessionally by Depop support. As of this writing, the listing has not been reinstated, and we have not received a formal apology or explanation. It is unacceptable for any platformespecially one that relies on the efforts of high-volume sellersto behave in such a dismissive manner.Due to these recurring issues and our concerns regarding the platforms oversight failures, we are filing this complaint with the BBB. I sold items on Depop to buyers on the platform earlier this year and received payment in the form of Depop Balance. Typically the Depop balance will automatically transfer to my bank after a few business days of after the buyer receives the product I sold to them. Currently, I have almost $700 stuck in Depop balance and Depop will not assist me in getting it transferred after I have written countless emails and have reached out via social media. It has been impossible to get in touch with someone and to get my money for the items I have sold through the platform. I now do not have my items or the money that I sold them for. On the Depop balance page it will say that the payout will occur the next day, and then when the next day happens the payout date will adjust to the following date after that and then I am never paid out.Initial Complaint

I purchased a shirt from your system on 3/13/25. The item was listed in the **** category, listed as a size large MEM that fits in medium on MEN. I received this shirt today and attempted to try it and seen it was a kids shirt. I wear a medium in mens and this shirt stops at my belly button. I placed this supposed large **** shirt next to a medium polo shirt which the brand runs small typical and its nowhere near the same size. This shirt is NOT AS DESCRIBED which goes against the Depop policy stated in *************************************************************************************************************. As for the argument of measurements it DOES NOT state how its measured or what is 19x22 on the shirt. That could be strictly chest size. No information is provided. Depop hasn't released my fund for an item I sold in November, almost 4 months ago. I sold an item for $375.15 on November 25, 2024 and it is now March 22nd, 2025 and I haven't received my funds. The business was committed to release my funds within 10 days but that was not the issue here. I have contacted the business since December trying to get my funds to they said, "We've escalated your issue" but no one has responded for a MONTH! They have done nothing but email me saying they will do something but they never did. Extremely upset and I want my money. They have been pushing the payout date each day, to 2 days ahead but when that date comes, it gets pushed back. I have no chargebacks or anything on that account.Customer Answer

I made a purchase on depop of an XL jacket. When I received the jacket it was an xl jacket but it was a small jacket so immediately I knew it was Asian sizing since Asian sizing is 3 times smaller than usa sizes. I reached out to the seller and the seller said they would refund my money and I told the seller I would send the jacket back to them. Refund never came and seller blocked me from messaging again so I reached out to depop and showed then our conversation that they agreed to refund my money. Depop asked me to send pictures of the jacket so I sent pics showing how the jacket didn't fit me at all. The sleeve cuffs rise to my forearms and I couldn't button any buttons. The buttons are 6 inches apart from eachother that's how small this jacket is. Even if I squeeze it won't even touch. I explained that the jacket says xl but it is Asian size. **************** wrote back and said "thanks for the images but you will not get a refund because the jacket says XL." I just emailed back telling them that that is ethically wrong for someone to sell Asian sizes without telling the consumer. That is scamming. That is not right and they are dismissing the fact that the seller said they would refund me because they knew the jacket was small but depop won't refund my money. This is not the first time I've complained too depop about their service and what they allow on their platform. There are so many people selling counterfeit clothes and sneakers selling them for hundreds even thousands of dollars and they do nothing when I report these sellers. I've had sellers admit they was selling replica sneakers and depop did nothing to these sellers after I reported them. They are allowing this criminal behavior and it is wrong that they are letting these people take advantage of buyers with all of this counterfeit stuff from *****. I want my money back and I have all the proof I need to plead my case. Look at the size in the pictures and the seller saying they would refund me.Initial Complaint

- I purchased this item 6.13.2024 - I paid $20.07 - I purchased this item, and the seller never shipped it, nor ever communicated. They took my money and never sent the product. Additionally, I reached out to Depop, the app that facilitates the transaction, in which it took them a while to get in touch with me. 4 Transactions. Date of all four: 02/13/2025 Business: Depop Business commitment: pay Seller for selling personal items to customers. This process includes posting an item for sale, buyer pays, seller ships item to the buyer, and in return the seller receives payment to bank account. This business Depop has a Help Desk portal which is the only form of communication (e-mail).I have attempted to resolve this issue about 10 different times. I was told on three of those occasions that it would be resolved but has not been resolved. Total amount owed to me is: $109.99 Here is the final email I sent to Depop on 3/20/2025: Over the course of weeks I have utilized the Depop helpdesk in an attempt to resolve outstanding non-payout issues and have not been helped. I am very unhappy with my experience with Depop and have been scammed with selling my valuable items without any form of payment to my bank account. These items were sold a month ago. I was promised by several help desk agents that I would be paid (I have evidence of these e-mail communications) yet as of today 3/20/2025, have not received funds. Will be reporting to Better Business Bureau as well as to my banking institution for fraudulent activity. Attached are the missing payments I am owed, circled in red.
