I have had pet insurance with them since 2016 and my dogs have both been regularly healthy until this year this year they both had respiratory illnesses and my older pet has glaucoma and is blind in one eye so she hast to see the eye vet every month. They have not accepted or approved any of my claims even though I’ve submitted everything that my current vet and pass that has on file since 2019. This is the worst place ever do not trust. I’ve been on the phone with them multiple times each month since submitting my first claim this year back in August they still ask for information even though I’ve had them contact my vet directly my vet has contacted them directly, and my previous vet has sent over every single exam note. They want more information but if my vet has sent everything then *** am I supposed to do.

All I can say is Fetch is a bad faith actor. We got a policy with them for our dog, at the time 3 years old and from all we knew perfectly healthy. We'd gotten exams from the previous owners (he was rehomed, we took him in as a foster initially and decided to keep him). From his previous exams and what we knew he had no pre-existing conditions. Shortly after getting the policy we took the dog to a check-up where the vet told us he appeared to have a heart condition, so they added it as a pre-existing condition. We spoke to one of their agents who told us that if we had provided a check-up done less than 6 months before signing up it could be removed. It so happened we did have a check up done in that period that had found no heart murmur. We sent it in, and then, instead of removing the Murmur as a pre-existence, they added a further two conditions AND kept the murmur. We called again to ask how come the exam was good enough to add new conditions, but not to remove the one that was clearly not a pre-existence, AS THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD, and they just nonchalantly told us they had a 15 day waiting period after getting a policy, during which anything newly discovered is considered a pre-existing condition. That policy alone is already a bad faith move, but granted understandable, what I don't get is why would they lie to us and tell us they would remove the pre-existence if we submitted the exam from the last 6 months? When we called in, we called to cancel, but they told us about the exam thing and the possibility of removing the pre-existing condition if we did a "medical review", so we refrained from cancelling the policy. All we got for our troubles was having to pay another two months of their worthless policy while they did their medical review only for them to basically say we're shit out of luck and by the way we found more pre-existences. BAD FAITH ACTORS - WILL NOT HONOUR THEIR WORD - STAY AWAY

You don't realize how bad this insurance is until you actually have to use it. We have had the insurance since it was petplan. We tried to use it when our dog was a little over 2 because he developed severe allergies that made his skin break out terribly. We were denied any coverage in the future because it was deemed a pre-existing condition due to at his first puppy visit we asked about him "itching". We did not get the insurance until he was about 1 after a trip to the emergency vet. There were not a lot of insurance options at the time so we were like ok if something terrible happen we will have it. We have not made any other claims in his entire 13 year life. His premium in 2020 was $483.00 it is going to be $2,200 this year, again this is before any claims had been filed. We are now trying to cover a urinary issue and because one of the urine tests was at a visit more than 90 days before the claim we are being denied. This was not part of the process when we first signed up and again we have not filed claims his whole life. Even if we get reimbursed for everything we filed for this year it will not make up the over $1,500 premium from last year, Will not be keeping it and hope others do not fall prey to money pit that is Fetch insurance.

They deserve NO stars. I was never reimbursed for any of my dogs care. Impossible to reach these folks by phone. Texts are not answered for several days.

If you enjoy being on hold and switched around from one incompetent staff member to another, this is the pet insurance for you.

My dog had surgery for 7K, overnight hospital stay for 2K, none of which was reimbursed.

      Rude and unprofessional staff.

I am looking for attorneys who deal with this kind of fraud

      BUY a different insurance.

If you use the policy they will downgrade you the next year citing cost to loss ratio without warning. I had unlimited annual limit and I used it to try to save my dog and the next year they reduced her policy by 50%, making it totally unusable. Had three dogs left so I limited the claims I submitted. Lo and behold they downgraded my youngest dog due to her smaller premiums than the two older dogs. Cutting her policy by 40%. The number they gave me on the letter to see what my options were there are none was an autonation's parts supplies number. I pay $10,000 a year for three dogs. They had no problem of quadrupling and doubling there premiums every year now when I really need them as they get older they say sorry suck it up or cancel the policy those are my two choices.

Absolutely awful company, they are great if you do not put in a claim but if you put in even a small claim as we did your premiums will sky rocket every year from then on out. We had insurance with them from the time our dog was a puppy, the first 3 years because we had no claims they would lower our premiums by about $25-$35 a yearIn 2022 our premium was $800, we had a $1000 in claims that year of which we got paid out about $600.
The next year are premiums went up to just over $1200, in 2023 we had no claims and this year our policy went up to $1800, their explanation is because our dog is getting older so he may require more care.
We had the policy for 6 years in which they've paid us a total of $600 but now he's getting older and may require care they want to make it unaffordable.
Do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere, we have.

I have 3 senior dogs. I learned the hard way that when I use my insurance to ensure my dogs health I'm rewarded with Fetch downgrading my pup's insurance when renewal arrives. 2 years ago Tinker saw a 3 cardiologists the last one found a tumor on her spleen. I had unlimited annual limit but per condition deductible. Renewal came I was downgraded to $500/70%/$15000. She died 2 months later. I didn't to go through that again so I limited my claims to cold laser and acupuncture. Everything else I paid out of pocket. In December 2023 I contacted fetch by the dodo and asked if my dogs claims for reasonable and if I needed to downgrade to avoid problems like I had with Tinker. The strategy did not work I got to congratulations letter from Fetch saying my youngest Mischi's policy was being downgraded to $500perconditon/70%/25000.. the number they told me to call was an auto nation's parts department to explore my options. There are no options according to the customer advocate no one I could dispute the downgrading without my consent. No explanation in the letter for the downgrade. Reasoning cost-loss ratio. They reduced my premium thus creating a higher risk for me to have her policy downgraded again. All of my policies are per condition it is difficult to put claims in as it is. Presently if I use the same strategy I will not get reimbursed for anything until December . If I use the policy on everything supplements eye exams acupuncture cold laser I risk having her policy downgraded again cuz they're premium is lower. Fetch does not return my emails nor are they consistent and transparent with their quotes or reasons why they do what they do. Buyer beware if you use it you may lose it. I learned the hard way as long as you don't use your policy you are good if you use it you have the chance of losing it. my pups are important to me and fetch plays with pet parents emotions. They say I had options to change her policy they lied. I either have to suck it up or cancel

      Raises premiums EXPONENTIALLY once your…
Raises premiums EXPONENTIALLY once your dog is in their mid-range.
Fetch needs to review the competitors pricing and match up accordingly. In the last 5 years I have had this insurance, my premium went up from $300 to $1700!! This is six times the original premium and I never even had a claim in the first three years! Over the years they increased, doubled my premium, I never said anything but the most recent increase in premium went up another $700 straight away.
$1700 annually plus tax for a $5000 coverage and 80% coverage is extremely low and unacceptable. Other insurance companies cover $10,000 to $20,000 for ~$1200 premium for the same dog.
Almost feels like a rip off at this point because they think you cant move. When you call the customer service to talk about the premium, they have an attitude so its pointless. There is no solution outside of just cancelling or continuing to pay really.
I would recommend to shop around. I am certainly not going with Fetch if and when I am looking for another insurance provider.
