      Yes, they lie to get you to sign up. The representative intercepted my fiance and me as we were headed to the *** security line, told us that we were "selected", and that it wouldn't cost anything for one year. Now we were just charged for two memberships. We've been assured that we will receive a full refund. Plan to contest the charges with my credit card company. As others have noted, if I could leave 0 stars, I would. Unethical company.

      This company has repeatedly billed me annually AFTER I requested to cancel the first year. (2021). I tried to use it at first, then realized I do not need their services. Now however they never answer phones nor respond to voice mails, chat-bots cannot process basic info, email is not replied to, my login doesn't work, and then they insinuate on their phone tree message that it would COST me to cancel. I've just been billed $189 for the second year in a row without recourse. I wish I could give them NO stars. It looks like this is happening to others as well. What can we do to fight this scam? I am ready to join a lawsuit if anyone has started filling.

      A rep at the airport said Clear is free, you just have to make an account. So I did (******* did most of the filling in, swiping my card, etc.). I questioned needing my credit card and was assured I wouldnt have to pay anything. Just checked my cc statement and I was charged $189. I've been on hold for ************************************************************** order to address this.

      @Clear I am getting very frustrated with the lack of quality and efficiency of Clear that I am experiencing. In my opinion, Clear needs to better train and motivate its staff. I was told the machine couldnt read my electronic boarding pass because I had a dark background although that had never previously been an issue. After failing at a second machine, I walked past the que that had accumulated at Clear into the tsa pre-check line and still made it through before anyone that had been behind me at Clear. There were 3 staff at Clear!! Its getting to the point their service is not advantageous.

      A rep at the *********** at terminal 4 stopped us and tried to get ** to sign up for Clear. Also lied to us about the lines being 1.5 hours. I declined and started to walk away when he chased us and called us names for not signing up. Shameful Clear hires employees like this who would sell their souls to get a customer. Will tell all my friends about this and how deceitful company practices are. By the way it only took ** 10 minutes to pass security. Hope *** stops allowing them to conduct business in the terminal.

      Used Clear to take a shortcut through the ***** security checkpoint while on business. Went to cancel my membership when I was at the gate due to no Clear services in airports I frequent. Was offered a two month extension of my trial. Decided to try it since I might be traveling back to *****. Was charged two weeks later for $189. OK, mistakes happen. Contacted customer support. Friendly support person, but she couldn't find my transaction. After providing everything I could (date charged, date completed, last four, reference number), no agent was able to locate my transaction. Was deferred to my credit card company by the agent. Credit card company filed a dispute on my behalf. Still waiting to see how that turns out. Will not _ever_ do business with Clear, their payment system is broken and needs fixing.

      The Clear guy at the ***************** told me that by Amex Delta credit card benefit program would pay for the Clear account subscription. He said I just have to swipe the card, and the benefit program would cover the subscription fee. I also had a companion with me and he made me swipe my card for her, too. He said one additional person would be covered in this benefit program. I just got notified from Amex that I was charged 2 x $189 on my Amex account. I'm really mad since this guy was completely misleading me to sign up at the airport.

      Total scam, just tried to use it at *** and they walked us to the back of the regular line and pretended we were In An express line.. total bogus, on the opposite end of the terminal they are taking new sign *** to the front.

      After several successful uses, this past week CLEAR lost all my biometric records. No customer service agent was able to determine why this suddenly happened, or where my records have gone. They advised to just enroll again. I have very serious concerns about the security of their technology and inability to resolve these issues. If anyone is concerned about identity data, this should be a massive red flag. Their staff is overall poorly trained, customer service non-existent, and the actual airport process is slower than regular TSA Precheck.

      This system is wonderful - when it actually works. During my 1st year, I had to re-do the biometrics twice (stopped using it after that). If I need to arrive early in case the biometrics reader loses me again, whats the point in paying for Clear? Way too unreliable TSA Precheck is both much cheaper & much more reliable.
