My family and myself were approached by a gentleman as we were trying to find the appropriate entrance to go through the security checkpoint. The man that came up to us was very vague and did not answer questions we had until after we had already been signed up. We do not travel frequently so are not tricky familiar with the latest procedures. Flying is stressful enough and when an official approached us we had assumed this process was necessary. It was not until after we had been deceived and completed the sign up process that we were notified it is a free trial and we would be billed if we don't cancel. The person that has approached us was very pushy similar to a mall kiosk salesman and used our lack of knowledge against us. These people are scam artists and work off of unsuspecting and unknowing victims.Clear

I was told this would be free after someone grabbed me from the *** line. Two weeks later, $318 was taken from my account. I am very upset about this situation and cannot believe the airport allows these people to lie. I asked multiple times if I would be charged and the guy reassured me no LIAR! $318!!!!!!Clear

My wife is from another country and had to fly home. On her return trip she landed at *** after 30+ hours of ****************** from the *******. The ClearMe ***resentative took advantage of my wife's limited english and understanding of airport operations. She was convinced the *** was from the airlines and was there as customer service. She had no idea what was really going on, at least not until we got our bank statement and notice a $318 charge! These people are SCAMMERS! They are taking advantage of people who are coming in from exhaustive overseas flights and are just trying to get to their next connection.Clear

This org is complete BS. This is all mentioned in the many other reviews but here it goes. Yes, I was a SUCKER for getting out of the *** security line when a guy near the line claimed 10 minute sign up would save me 50 minutes of waiting inline if I had a US ID. No mention, before I got out of line, that there was a 199$ a year membership fee after the trial. By the time I saw that I had jumped out of line and lost my place. So I moved on and had already decided to cancel the membership. Did the ****************************************** to the Clear lane. Which was all they way across the terminal, down 2 flights of stairs in what felt like the basement. There I waited in another line for 25 minutes before.. not being scanned image or bio, but still having to do everything that I would have had to do in the first line. I had to present my ID. I had to take my shoes off and my laptop out. I had to go thru the scanner. All the stuff they CLAIM on their website you don't have to do in the program. Time saved: 0 minutes. Lot more hassle between the extra walk and having to setup a pw to get to my account to cancel. To come full circle.. tis complete BS. Save your money and do the *** PreCheck. Under 100$ for 5 years. Same advantages.Clear

I attempted to use CLEAR at the ******************* to complete my TSA pre-check registration. I had all of the required documents - driver license, birth certificate and marriage license (because in the state of ******** they issue licenses not certificates). The girl working said she couldnt take my license because it didnt prove I was married. She called a man named **** who confirmed I needed a certificate of marriage to prove my identity. I called the county recorder of deeds to acquire a certificate of marriage. She confirmed again that only the license is provided in the state. I went back to speak with them again - because surely being in ******** this isnt the first time theyve encountered this. I asked if she could speak with **** again. After getting two other associates involved. They confirmed what **** said - I needed a document that literally doesnt exist in the state to complete TSA pre-check registration. Not sure why they even have an office in ***.Clear

I canceled my subscription and got a confirmation e-mail that its canceled/ 2 month later they send me e-mail that my credit car? is about to be charged for the renewal. So I had to go ahead and cancel it again. I do not think this is the end of it. Unauthorized renewal of subscription does not sound lawful to me.Clear

A young woman dressed in uniform pulls mE out of line at the airport and takes mE to a kiosk to check mE in for my flight never mentioning money or subscription or anything like that. I thought she was just being nice and helpful but I should have known better. She lead mE to believe she worked for the airline I was flying. A few weeks later I get $288 deducted from my checking account. I live on a senior citizen fixed income and I'm just lucky the deduction didn't make mE overdrawn. So not only did the girl sign mE up without my permission but she gave mE the most expensive family plan. I never fly and I have no family. This incident increased my lack of faith in humanity. Where's Honesty? I can't find Honesty.??This seems illegal but I guess it's just immoral.Clear

Have a family member who is an employee of CLEAR. She is atypical of many of their employees. She has all the security clearances required, has strong work ethic, is knowledgeable regarding the company policy, gives members full and complete information to assist them with the membership. Yes they work on commission but it is paltry. The hourly wage is low for the responsibility they must have when dealing with secure information. Management is weak and doesnt support strong employees, hiring is poor and they end up having high turnover.Clear
