I signed up for a weight loss program with LifeMD. In November. I had forgotten a former program that I was involved in but want to begin with Life MD where I had ended with the previous program. The clinician who spoke to me after approx 3-5 minutes stated I could not begin where I had ended with previous program. For this reason I decided not to join and was told to contact customer service to receive a full refund. I contacted customer service three times and each time I was told that someone would return my call. This was after waiting an extensive length of time on the line. No one never returned my calls. This is when I informed life MD directly what was going on. Someone contacted me via email and wanted to know why I didnt want to begin the program, and so i nformed them that it was not going to join because I didnt want to start the program over again. And I was requesting a refund. Two weeks later, I began receiving emails from LifeMD about monies that would be deducted from the 300 I believe $376 that I paid for the program. I had not received any response whatsoever. And then suddenly I begin to notice that on their website, my insurance was denying different parts of the program. This happened more than a week after I requested a refund. yesterday, approximately 3 weeks later, I am being told that monies are going to be deducted from my refund due refund that is due to me because of various fees charged.lLifeMD provided no service but they want to charge me after ignoring my numerous calls to customer service. Inform them that I did not wish to begin their program.Business Response

On 11/18/23 I signed up for a telehealth weight loss subscription for $387. Later they billed 120 for prescription. So total, I was billed $507 within one month. It took a month which is insane.On. Dec 3, they contacted me regarding my appointment, which should have been before Thanksgiving. Mind you I had already tried to cancel my subscription and they still contacted me. They had no business calling me. I responded by telling them that I had an appointment 2 weeks in the past and they never called or attended. I tried calling them to cancel and wasn't able to reach anyone I requested a full refund of my account since no one ever called me back.I also called the billing department to discuss a full refund as well as send a msg to them on Dec 14 to get a full refund. I never heard back from them again regarding my refund. I want nothing to do with this shady company.I even called the pharmacy to cancel my prescription.Business Response

Dear Sir or Madam:
We write in response to the above-referenced complaint.
The customer, ***************************, enrolled in a ******************** subscription telehealth program on November 18, 2023 at a price of $387. The subscription terms, to which ****************** affirmatively consented, specifically stated that medication costs are not included in the program subscription fees.
****************** thereafter met virtually with a LifeMD affiliated telehealth provider on December 4, 2023, and was prescribed medication, which she paid for separately at a price of $120.75.
After careful review of ******************** case history, it was determined that the prescribed medication was delivered to ****************** on December 16, 2023.
Because the customer was under the mistaken belief that medication cost was included, her subscription was canceled. Having already met virtually with an affiliated healthcare provider, and having received the prescribed medication, she was issued a partial refund of $258 on December 27, 2023.
Considering this subscription cancellation and refund, we consider this complaint to be resolved.

LifeMD started popping up in my social media after googling Ozempic for weight loss. Apparently they pay top dollar to be the first in the search results. After a short questionnaire, they tell you, based on the results, that you qualify for the treatment. They offer you different plans, in my case, I chose 6 months. After you put you card number, and before anything else, they charge the amount. In my case $387. Then they start sending you emails with instructions to create an account. You then give them your insurance information, because they need to contact your insurance to see if you qualify for the drug Ozempic or any of the other ones. If you dont, then it is out of pocket, on top of the $387 that they already took from you. It is misleading, they dont tell you that more than likely, you will have to pay extra for the drug. When you sign in, you are doing it thinking the 6-month deal is for getting the drug.I did not know any of this until I saw that they took the money out of my card immediately, without even checking if, based on my current health, I do qualify, or dont for the treatment. I went online and started seeing all the complaints to the BBB.Today, December 20,2023, I canceled my account, and I want a full refund. I have no interest in putting my health into the hands of LifeMD.Business Response

On 10/29/23, I set up an appointment with this business believing, as most of the other complaints stated, that the amount I paid was to receive a medication in exchange. This company has advertising that is misguided. It aims to make the consumer believe, as i did, that the cost of the medication. Is the price theyre charging. They claimed to be giving a discount for a six month supply, only to find out that the price youre paying is to talk with someone and perhaps get a prescription that you will then pay for. THAT IS NOT how its advertised. I canceled my account on 11/7/23 as soon as I checked the bbb website and saw all the complaints listed and the one star rating. The company acknowledged I canceled prior to ever utilizing their services, which are advertised as a product. Never using their services, never receiving any products and never speaking to anyone who offered me any type of guidance, I am requesting a full refund. This advertising is false advertising, seems fraudulent and possibly illegal. I have received NOTHING from this company. No phone call, no appointment , no products, no prescription. Please refund me in full.Business Response

I was charged $387 after signing up for services but before actually receiving any services. I was never told this was a recurring subscription. I noticed fraudulent charges to my credit card after signing up with this company. I fear my credit card information was exposed. I do not trust this company and do not wish to do business with them. I could not find any way to request a refund or discuss possible security breech with them.Business Response

I feel very violated and must say this was an absolute scam. They charged me $387 for what the advertisement said would be access to Ozempic. They charged my card immediately but I could not get an appointment with a DR. for weeks. It turns out the appointment wasnt even with a DR. it was a nurse practioner, and it turns out that I cannot get Ozempic and they were trying to sell me a "generic compound of a pharmacy in *******". This whole experience was extremely sketchy, I tried to call and spent multiple times unable to get through to someone on the phone. I reached out on the app but I am not satisfied. I just want my refund back. It was misrepresented to me what this service was.Business Response

The customer, ***************************, enrolled in a ******************** subscription telehealth program on December 1, 2023. The subscription terms, to which ******************** affirmatively consented, specifically stated that medication costs are not included in the program fees.
Thereafter, ******************** met virtually with an affiliated provider, with prescriptive authority, on December 13, 2023. In his complaint, ******************** complains that he was offered a compounded medication as opposed to a brand name medication. However, the suggested prescription, if any, is a function of several factors, including the patients prescription drug coverage, as well as the clinicians determination as to what is clinically appropriate for the patient.
On December 17, 2023, ******************** requested a refund and cancellation of his subscription. The customers subscription was canceled and, having already met virtually with an ********************* provider, he was issued a partial refund of $242.25 on the same day as his request.
Considering this subscription cancellation and refund, we consider this complaint to be resolved.
