2 starsDisappointed. I have a billing question about my Wix invoice. I have spent over 30 minutes trying to contact a PERSON to ask a simple question. Why do companies insist on wasting my time? Get a person on the end of the phone line, don't give me a robo-response to go to your website! I just came from your website. It is time for business to work again. Hire people to answer your phones. After reading the other reviews. I am clearly being generous with two stars. There seems to be a concerted effort by *** to upsell and then not honor agreements. Too bad, used to be a good company. Leaving after this subscription cycle. I would leave now because of customer support, except I'm afraid I'd lose my three hundred buckos. Too bad.Review fromJoe G

1 starHighly restrictive on email campaigns. Not allowing double opt in lists from vendors. Requiring the shut down of the emails with long questionnaires to reestablish. It seems they are laying in wait to shut your business down. I have requested a refund for any unused portion on my three year contract. Hopefully they will do that. I have moved my business to a more friendly web site vendor.Review fromKevin B

1 starI've been trying to transfer a domain to a new provider as the to host a website through Wix has become unsustainable. My domain registration lapsed, as my PayPal account was no longer active, and *** refused to transfer the domain until I renewed it. There was no indication on the Wix site that I couldn't transfer my domain until I renewed, so I started a chat with Customer support. The person on the other end told me I didn't have to pay the full year, and could pay monthly to renew. When I selected the option to renew it gave me the option of 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years. I informed that person and they told me if it wasn't on the site it wasn't an option, so I'd have to pay the full month. I proceeded to tell them that's not what I was told and they said they were wrong and I would have to. I asked to chat with a supervisor, and waited 25 or so minutes with the chat open. Not wanting to sit there any longer: I caved. I paid the $27 to renew the domain, on top of the money I've already paid my new registrar just to be done. Today I was refunded the money and told they couldn't get my domain for me (it's currently in the grace ******** I immediately requested a call from customer service, and the agent gave me the runaround at one point insisting it was because I didn't have the funds. I told him I saw the bank transaction and there was no way that was it, and when I asked to be connected to a supervisor was told there were none on duty and I'd have to wait until later in the week to speak to someone. At this point my email address is no longer active, and I'm missing out on business opportunities. I'll be transferring my domain from Wix and never suggesting them to anyone again. I have no idea how Wix has an A rating on BBB.Review fromYoung A

1 starThe company WIX charged $564.00 for 2 year service plan via auto renewal. I requested a refund next day since I have not used the service and didn't want to continue their service. However, they denied my request and didn't refund at all. They even didn't refund partially for the remaining service days that are not used from the cancel request date. I see there are lots of cases that many people have happened same as me.Review fromSteven H

1 starThis is a terrible platform avoid it at all costs to you.. I am a customer for 2 years. I will not deal with them any longer, I had one large payment I had to clear with them for suspicion of what the funds were. I have company, and they withhold every large payout of my landscape & gardening business. It happened again with 1.9k after tax taken out. I have an invoice with all customer info and services clear on the invoice. Paid by her credit card via the website. I still havent received the payout since the transaction was completed in November of 2023. Wix should be put out of business.Review fromKimberly D

1 starI wish I could give zero stars. Wix held over $20K of my money for weeks to "verify" causing EXTREME delays on fulfillment to my customers. They refused to give me any deadline or help. Finally received that payout... but shortly... wix decides to take my entire website down until I verify more information, customers got nervous and began charging back since wix took down the ENTIRE WEBSITE URL.... finally got all the resolved but decided I had enough of wix and moved to a different website provider with no issues at all. I had one payout for over $2K in the wix balance, waiting to be paid.... but the money never comes. *** tells me they confirmed sent it and they can't help me. so after WEEKS of back and forth with my bank, *** finally admits they had it this entire time and they're actually going to be keeping it for 90 days because of the chargebacks.... the chargebacks THEY CAUSED AND THE CHARGEBACKS THAT ARE ALREADY RESOLVED????? so now for MONTHS of no reply, barley anyone helping... I still after 4 MONTHS never got my remaining payout. NEVER USE WIX, THEYRE AN AWFUL COMPANY, WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND TAKE YOUR MONEYReview fromKatherine D

2 stars*** has been my go-to source for websites for over 10 years. When I first found ***, their customer service was top level. If my client was having backend issues on their website, I'd tell them to call *** customer support. Back then, I knew a *** employee would promptly answer the call and patiently walk through the customer through the issue. They were awesome! As the years have passed, this level of hands-on customer service has slipped and the price for the *** increased. While ***'s product offering are more plentiful and powerful these ***** get the price increasemy website needs remain simple, my budget low, and the price no longer seemed worth it for me. So I swapped providers. On Jan 20, 2023, I prepaid $348 for 2 years of an Unlimited Premium Plan. Last month (beginning April 13, 2024), I canceled the plan, turned off the auto renewal, and reassigned my web domain to my new provider. This left 9-10 months of unassigned / unused service of my *** plan. At the end of April, I contacted customer service via ***s website / email and asked for a partial refund. On April 29, I received automated reply that my request was denied and *** does not offer refund past 14-days. I dont remember seeing this when I renewed my plan. I imagine its buried somewhere deep in the fine print.I figured a person might be more reasonable. So reached out to customer service via phone on May 9 around 11:35am. The rep was very pleasant and said I would be receivingan exception to the policy and to look email and a prorated refund of $207. Yet May 11, I received another denial email. In my opinion, this customer service merry-go-round is exhausting and unethical. Its simply wrong for***to charge me for months of an unusedservice. Again, I am willing to pay for the months of use, yet would like to be refunded for time not used. Thanks.Review fromClaudia C

1 starI generally use Wix because it was the first page I learned to use to make my website for free and I was very happy with it. but recently I was creating the site for one of my accounts and when the power to connect the domain appears, I get a pop up that says I can upgrade my plan or just buy the domain and connect it. because it is cheaper and I only wanted the domain that is what I did and I bought it for 3 years, ***** dollars, and when I go to connect it I get another pop up that says that even if I have the domain the only way to connect it is by having the premium plan and that each plan comes with a year of free domain, so I lost 75 dollars and they forced me to end up using the annual plan anyway. This lack of clarity seems like a scam to me. The plans are overrated and the clarity of the page leaves much to be desired. Obviously no repairs and now I have to look for a new place since this one is a shame.Review fromAlexis L

1 starWix has been holding my PAYOUT FOR THE PAST MONTH AND HAVE NOT PAID MY ACCOUNT AND IS UNABLED TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS. MANAGERS ARE UNABLED TO HELP AS THEY WAIT FOR AN UNDESCRIBED team to respond. I will never recommend this website to anyone
