I have been in communication with WW for the past week and attempting to cancel my Clinic commitment. I am fully aware of the ******************* but I had a financial situation change (I am a single parent who recently had to move and our rent payment has gone up) and am not longer able to continue paying the monthly fee. I find it ridiculous that the Clinic department does not have a phone number to communicate with, and you can only "chat" with people every one to two business days. I have spoken to multiple representatives through Weight Watchers phone number and am always met with the same "sorry, we can't help you" response. How is it possible they can read and see everything I have communicated with my care team, but cannot do anything to help? As someone who has used WW multiple times over the past decade, I am VERY disappointed in the lack of customer service and willingness to help a customer.Business Response

Date of the transaction was 5/1/2025. The company asked for money before I was approved for treatment. I did not finish the tasks required for treatment. I cancelled the service on 5/5/2025 within 3 business days. They are going to hold me liable for a 6 month contract after I told them that I talked with my physician and they felt it was not a good option for me. They are getting too personal. Wanted me to get on a scale with tight clothing to prove my weight. I have worked with other companies and they have not asked me for that. I would like to get out of the contractBusiness Response

Upon subscribing, the initial payment will cover your first full month of service. Before a prescription medication can be provided, it's necessary to upload your medical history, similar to what you would do at a doctor's office for the first time. This step allows our clinicians to carefully review your information and request any additional details if needed, which is especially important when considering medication to ensure your safety.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I have not submitted documents or consented to a picture of me on a scale. I have not received medication. I should not be charged because the required steps were not completed. The response made by WW is NOT what i complained about. I want refund of my money and out of their commitment. My doctor advised against it during a conversation with me. WW also does not have any *********** at this time as reported in an email to me.

I signed into Weight Watchers clinic to see if I was eligible for the weight loss medication *******. I was charged 129$ up front BEFORE I DECIDED TO USE THEIR PROGRAM- no contact, no personal interview. After I paid the amount of 129$ THEN, a counselor appeared. Meanwhile, my private physician pushed through the order for *******. *I notified the clinic of hat I would no longer need their services and wanted a refund. I have been told that my doctor needs to write them a letter. Why? She is not responsible to this group! I sent another message with a photo of the medication with my name and info on the prescription tag. Again, I was told my doctor MUST write them a letter before they would consider my refund. My doctor should not be inconvenienced in this matter. I want to see the refund. The his is maddening and I am very dissatisfied with their unwillingness to recompense my money/. We want to emphasize that WW Clinic memberships provide a comprehensive program that extends beyond ***** prescriptions. Therefore, not receiving a prescription from our Clinic does not qualify as a valid reason for early termination of a commitment plan.

I signed up for Weight Watchers International as did my husband. I canceled the service and saw that it won't let me stop the service until the so called contract ends. I do not want to continue the service until April 2026 nor my husband. I want to stop the service when the current month ends.Business Response

The WW membership is a Commitment plan at the reduced price with a 3 day cooling off period. This membership is a 12 month commitment plan you selected which ends on 4/3/2026. Our cancellation Terms are very clearly stated on the website. In fact, during the signup process, there is a box that must be checked before submitting that is two short paragraphs in bold where it states While you may cancel your subscription at any time, cancellation will not go into effect until the end of your Commitment Plan. After submitting, the next screen says Welcome to the Community and under Order Confirmation it shows again that same paragraph with the canceling message in bold. And yet again, it is in the sign up receipt email.
We're sorry to see you're wanting to cancel. We have many resources that can support you in your journey. Thank you for contacting Weight Watchers in regards to your concerns.
Sincerely, WeightWatchers

I signed up for a WW clinic membership on February 4 and canceled on February 9 after realizing I was not a good candidate for the program. I received no communication from WW for about a month. Then, I was unexpectedly billed again. When I inquired about the charge, I was told I was required to complete the membership.I complied with their instructions and was later informed that I was not eligible for the medication I originally signed up to receive, but that I could be prescribed a different medication instead. I stated that I would prefer to cancel the membership entirely, but if I was obligated to continue, I wanted to receive some value in return for the membership fee.Despite repeated requests, I have not received any services, weight-loss medication, or a clear explanation of my membership. Ive asked for clarification multiple times and have also requested a phone number to speak with someone directly, but that request was denied.Additionally, I was overcharged by $94 for March and April. While I was eventually reimbursed for April, the issue for March remains unresolved. For the past four months, I have submitted weekly requests for some form of service, but I still have not received any weight-loss medication. WW has refused to downgrade me to a lower-cost plan or allow me to exit the contract.I am seeking a full refund for the months in which I received no services and an immediate resolution to end my membership without further charges. The total for the entire contract is around $2,088 the total paid at present is $810.Business Response

I had joined WW in the past with good success, so when I needed to lose some weight again, I rejoined. When I rejoined, I was 25 pounds overweight at 189 pounds. That was on 12/9/2024. This time, WW also was offering medications for weight loss so I joined its Clinic and tried Metroformin. I did not lose any weight, but, in fact, gained weight, which I noted to my "care team." I then was put on Compounded ***********. At that time, I specifically asked what assistance would be available if I did not see the results I was seeking and was assured that a Clinician would be available to assist me if I was not experiencing the results I was looking for. I was particularly concerned about there being proper oversight not only for my health but since I was paying out of pocket for the ***********, putting my monthly membership at $219. In April, however, a notice was posted in my "Message" feed that my Clinician would be unavailable from 4/4 to 6/30. I noted in the "Message" feed that I was putting on weight with the *********** and the dosage was increased. Never was I offered a consultation. When I reached 198 pounds on 4/10, I messaged again that I was gaining weight despite sticking to the WW program, which I was more than familiar with. I was told a Clinician would get back to me. When no one did, I asked to be assigned to someone else. They refused that request and said someone would get back to me. When no one did, I called WW to cancel my membership and to terminate my last two months -- May and June -- but was told I had to work with the Clinic on the matter. The Clinic has no customer support phone line, so I was left with having to message the team about my desire to terminate my contract because they had failed to provide me with assistance while I was gaining weight. In fact, while on ***********, I went from being overweight to obese and not once did the Clinic offer me help or guidance. I do not want to be charged for June and wish to be refunded for May.Business Response

I have been a loyal WeightWatchers member for over 10 years. In early 2025, I joined WWs medication-assisted weight loss program under the belief that I would be approved for a specific weight loss medication a key factor in my enrollment. That medication was not approved, and I received no follow-up from WW after the denial. I was left without the main component of the service I signed up for.I made multiple written and verbal requests to revert my membership to its previous status, not cancel entirely. These requests were denied repeatedly. In one conversation, a WW team member acknowledged the situation was unfair and agreed that consumers should not be locked into commitments before knowing what medications they qualify for. Despite this, WW continued to enforce the terms of the long-term program. Most recently, WW has stated it will no longer discuss the matter. As a result, I have revoked authorization for any further charges and notified my financial institution that future payments will be disputed under federal consumer protection laws (****/****). I also informed WW that I would be filing this complaint with the BBB and other oversight bodies.Attempts to Resolve:I submitted multiple written requests to revert my membership.I contacted WW customer service by phone and email.I formally revoked payment authorization.I warned WW of my intent to escalate the matter publicly and through consumer protection channels.Desired Resolution:I am requesting that WW:1.****** my membership to its original pre-medication status; and 2.Cease all further charges under the current program commitment. This resolution allows me to remain a WW member and avoid further escalation.Business Response

On our website, customers must select their desired plan. Longer subscription durations qualify for reduced prices. Our cancellation terms are clearly stated on the website. During signup, a mandatory checkbox includes two short paragraphs, with the following in bold: "While you may cancel your subscription at any time, cancellation will not go into effect until the end of your Commitment Plan."
Also, please note that our WW Clinic memberships offer more than GLP-1 prescriptions. Therefore, not qualifying for such prescriptions is not a valid reason to terminate a commitment plan early as there are other services available.Sincerely,
WeightWatchers

I made an account with ********************** and then cancelled it about a month later because I am taking other medication and this route made me sick and my doctor recommended me stop immediately. When I cancelled my membership/account I was assured my following appointments would be canceled as well. I was just changed $99 for a late cancellation fee for an appointment. I look at my billing information on the WW account and my next charge is upcoming this month in May for $10. I thought by cancelling everything I would not be charged from this point forward. I would like a full refund for the cancellation and any other $10 charges that may arise.Business Response

Just to clarify the membership cancellation, when the member canceled on March 9, 2025, the membership was set to end on December 23, 2025, according to the terms agreed upon at signup, as it was a commitment plan. A confirmation email with this cancellation date was sent to the member. This was also explained during the chat on May 2, 2025.
During that chat on May 2nd, the member requested to cancel a Registered Dietitian appointment. Please note that members are responsible for canceling these appointments themselves, and to avoid a no-show fee as per the terms, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
However, as a one-time courtesy, we have processed the membership cancellation and refunded the no-show fee.Sincerely,
WeightWatchers

I enrolled in WW Clinic in March 2025 but quickly realized the program was not a good fit. I never received any treatment, medication, or personalized care. When I asked to cancel, I was told I was ineligible due to a long-term discounted plandespite not having started care.A WW Clinic provider cited bloodwork from June and July 2024 as a reason to delay treatmentlabs I never uploaded or shared. I later learned they accessed this data via a Health Information Exchange (HIE), without my clear knowledge or consent. Ive repeatedly requested a copy of the consent I supposedly signed and an audit of what records were accessed. Ive received only vague assurances about HIPAA compliance, not a clear explanation.Ive made multiple attempts to cancel based on:Lack of treatment Discomfort with how my medical data was accessed A desire to stop participating in a program I no longer trust WW Clinic has refused to cancel my contract or escalate the matter beyond customer service. I believe this is a deceptive business practice, as the service was misrepresented as flexible and member-driven, yet locks patients into medical contracts they cannot exit unless the provider deems them unfit.Desired Resolution:1.Immediate cancellation of my WW Clinic membership without penalty 2.Written confirmation that no further charges will be made 3.Full documentation of what medical records were accessed and when 4.A copy of my signed consent authorizing ******** sharing 5.Internal review of WW Clinics patient communication and data privacy practices Full complaint attached as PDFBusiness Response
