I am writing to express serious concerns regarding my recent experience with the Weight Watchers Clinic and the way the program has been presented and managed. From the outset, the programs pricing structure was not made clear. I was encouraged to begin the intake process and submit personal information before any details about costs were disclosed. This lack of transparency raises red flags, especially for individuals who are trying to make informed decisions about their health and *********** addition, I was assured that the clinic would communicate directly with my insurance provider to determine coverage. However, I have yet to receive any definitive answers about what is or is not covered, despite multiple attempts to follow up.I would also be responsible for doing the further research and finding the answer they were in charge of finding. Responses to my inquiries are often delayedsometimes taking over two daysand when I do hear back, the replies are vague or seem to circle around my questions without offering concrete answers.Furthermore, despite promptly uploading all requested documentation at the beginning of the process, I have continued to receive repeated requests for additional or duplicate documents, which makes the process feel unnecessarily burdensome and disorganized. This experience has left me frustrated and disheartened. I expected professionalism, clarity, and timely support from a clinic operating under the Weight Watchers name. Instead, Ive encountered inconsistent communication, a lack of transparency, and poor coordinationnone of which instill confidence in the program or its administration.Business Response

On April 10, 2025 I enrolled in the three-month plan for compounded ***********. After starting the follow-up paperwork, I found out that it would be four to five weeks before I could meet with a clinician and then another one to two weeks before you could actually start the injections. I immediately advised the care team that this was unacceptable and that this delay should have been in a disclaimer advising the enrollee of this fact. I asked that the plan be canceled and was told that if it was, I would have to continue with payments till the end of the plan. I again advised the care team that this whole process was unacceptable and to cancel the plan and issue a refund for my payment. That request was denied. I feel the true facts about this plan are intentionally hidden. In my opinion this is a deceptive business practice used to lure in subscriptions from people desperately trying to get ********** a senior citizen I find chats very difficult to use as most do. After multiple chats I requested that I be called and was told that chats were the only form of communication. To repeat I have used no services to date, nor received any medicine. I advised the care team I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business BureauBusiness Response

We extend our sincere regrets for the delay in receiving the clinician consultation. We understand the importance of timely care and regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
As a gesture of goodwill, we have added a 30-day extension, moving the next bill date to June.Sincerely,

On April 14th I had signed up for 3 month plan and was charged $269! I wished Id never done it because it wasnt until after I paid that I seen I do not feel comfortable with the payment plan so I immediately within 1 hr cancelled my membership and reached out to WW as well as my credit card company since it was pending! I spoke to support and told them I do not want the membership or to even see the doctor I want my account terminated! Today 4/15/2026 they continued to take my payment told me I needed to see the doctor and they decided not to terminate! $269 is a lot of money for nothing! I ask for a refund and my account to be removed as I do not want in this program and I decided super fast once I seen others with the same complaints as I! This is probably a good reason there filing bankruptcy which I did not see till after the fact as well! I do not want the services! I do not want the membership! I want a refund of my $269 and my information completely removed!Business Response

I recently signed up for Weight Watchers clinic and it looks as I too, was a victim of their scam after going back-and-forth with the clinician I do not have the proper documentation that theywant asking for clinic documentation and medication, strengths and names and all the information they wanted I advised them I do not have that so there arent able to prescribe me the medication I have gone back-and-forth with them told them that I do not have a prescription as I went to a prior weight loss clinic where I didmy shots weekly back-and-forth still with the online clinician which is an absolute joke you cannot get in touch with anyone and youre on their terms. stated that if theyre not able to fulfill the medication, then I just want to cancel my membership because Im not able to provide this documentthey stated they can cancel my membership, but Im still going to have to continue to pay the 269 for my initial payment and the 189 month for three months how is that fair that I have to pay for a medication that they are not going to be giving me! This is not ok if I do not qualify, I should not have to pay again. Know that I clicked a box or whatever stating that I am in a contract, butthey were also promising to prescribe a medication and that is what I paid for. It is absolutely horrible that you cannot speak to anybody on the regarding this and it is not fair for a company to take someones money and not come through with it. If youre going to do this to several people you should not be requiring payment upfront then.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against WW Clinic, a medically supervised program operated under the Weight Watchers (WW) brand. I enrolled in this clinic program and recently attempted to cancel my subscription. During this process, I was informed by WW Clinic representatives that I am required to submit personal medical documentation specifically lab results confirming a pregnancy to be eligible for cancellation. This requirement is inappropriate, coercive, and potentially unlawful. At no point during signup was I clearly informed that cancellation would require disclosing private medical information. The company has made no effort to provide alternative cancellation methods, nor have they provided a copy of any terms or agreements stating medical records are required to end the contract.I am a paying customer exercising my right to cancel, and I do not consent to sharing medical records in exchange for that right. The companys position that I must disclose personal health data to stop being charged is unethical and, in my view, qualifies as an unfair business practice under the ************************ (FTC) Act, which prohibits deceptive and coercive commercial behavior.I have submitted a formal cancellation request directly to WW Clinic and made it clear that I will not be providing lab work. If they continue to deny my right to cancel or attempt to charge me further, I will dispute future payments with my financial institution and file additional complaints with state and federal consumer protection agencies.I am requesting the BBB facilitate the following:Immediate cancellation of my WW Clinic subscription A full stop on future billing Written confirmation of cancellation from the company Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am happy to provide supporting documentation, including correspondence with the WW Clinic team.Sincerely,****** ******* Cherokee, IA ****************** ************ 04/14/2025Business Response

Like others I signed up for the clinic version on 3/14 for one year. Insurance denied the prior authorization. Im unable to opt out of the clinic version, which isn't applicable to me if Im not on a weight loss medication, to the regular program. Now, Im left paying $74 a month for the next 11 months for what amounts to their regular program. Frustrating doesnt begin to describe it. Tried to speak to the 24/7 chat who told me to contact my care team who let me know that there was nothing they could do until 2026.Business Response

Contract cancellation. On 4/11/25 Purchased online special for $11/month for 12 months which led me to believe I could do online and in person meetings, discovered 4/14/25 website misleading. Turns out $11/month is the CORE plan which is NOT what I signed up for. The special ended of 4/11/25 so I am unable to provide a copy/paste of what I signed up for. In my document upload is the transcript with "bot" and customer service. I am also disputing with my credit card company as I had a free app to track my calories. I wanted meetings. Weight Watchers needs to be held responsible for their misleading/fraudulent website.Customer Answer

I canceled my Weight Watchers subscriptionor so I THOUGHTin late July 2024. When it became obvious that I was not able to procure affordable **** meds, I told the care team that I would not be continuing. Apparently, I was to do something additional to cancel because WW continued to charge me $99/month. I finally noticed that in April, 2025. That is 8 months of charges that I did not authorize. I want reimbursement of at least PART of those fees. I never once used their services or productsI didnt even go on their website!in all those months. This is a key piece, I believe. I had NOTHING whatsoever to do with WW after I canceled, since I believed that I was completely free of the subscription. They have denied my request for reimbursement citing phrases from their legal documents which I dont believe apply. This denial is evidence of a substandard, non-customer-centric company.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Weight Watchers is flat out lying. I clearly stated that I would not be continuing with the program in late July 2024. This should have been sufficient to terminate my membership. Moreover, it is very clear that I NEVER even logged into the site after that correspondence. Weight watchers had NO RIGHT to continue to charge me $99/month. Now that my membership is finally terminatedwhich proved far more difficult than it should beI no longer have access to the correspondence chain or I would copy it here. To repeat, it was the end of July 2024 that I told the clinic team that I would not be continuing with the program.
I want at least particular reimbursement of my fees. I do recognize that some fault is mine for not catching this situation sooner than 8 months hence.

Started communication with WW Clinic on March 17, 2025 via the *** (which is the only way to communicate with them).I went on the WW Clinic *** to see if they could they could check with my insurance company to see if I qualified for the medication. The care team came back and stated my insurance company denied me on all inquires. On March 18, 2025 I did text with the *** ***** ******** to discuss health issues before any medication could be prescribed. After the care team stated nothing is covered by my insurance they gave me prices of out of pocket expense for the medication. I cannot afford any of the out of pocket cost due to financial hardship. They told me that my subscription on the *** signed me up for one year. I told them I'm not going to uses their services and please put me back to the original WW program. They said no.I spoke with the WW Headquarters asking for their help on getting me out the Clinic portion and back to the regular WW program. They put in 3 Cases asking them to cancel me out of the Clinic and let me go back to the regular program (WW Case # ********, *****************). The Clinic has refused to do this. I have to say using the WW Clinic app is deceiving the people who are just inquiring about the medication and insurance coverage. I'm asking for your help. I cannot afford the $74 a month until April 17, 2026 for a service I'm not going to use due to denied medication coverage. Everything is an additional charge and I do not have the money to pay these prices.I already paid the $49 consultation fee but I do not believe I should have to pay the $74 charge each month until 4/17/2026.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I am not satisfied with their response. The Clinic App makes you sign up for a program before you even know if you qualify for the medication. This is a SCAM to lock you into a subscription when they know you might know even qualify to use their services. Take a look at the BBB web page and see all of the complaints that have been filed on how they are treating people. We all have fallen into the same SCAM it is deceitful practice.
