I contacted weight watchers about their weight loss medication. After filling out information on their web site I was told I qualified. Asked me which program I was interested in. Due to the cost I went for the 12 month commitment. After they got my credit card information they billed me ****** which was an agreed price. Now they have reasons they cant send me the medicine. I called and was given a bogus answer. I said why in the world would I commit to a program that now includes a monthly charge of ****** and cant get meds??? I explained I would have never signed up if I thought for a minute I would not get the medication program. I might not be the sharpest knife in the draw but come on!!! What a scam! Now I see they are filing bankruptcy. Another thing not disclosed to me prior to my purchase

I paid for a 6 month subscription to Weight Watchers Clinic on 3/30/2025. I was told that the MD would review my file and info I added to my profile and respond to me in 2-3 business days. It took over a week for the MD to respond to me---she/he asked some questions--I promptly answered and now another week has gone by. I am basically paying for nothing---two weeks of nothing---no treatment plan or treatment. I have asked that this be escalated and want a response from the MD asap as to what my treatment plan is and I was told they would make sure the MD responds-----now 24 hours later---nothing. The next cycle is in 2 weeks and I will be charged ---I want my money back and I want to cancel this contract immediately. I almost feel like this is a bit of a money scam. The initial membership fee covers the entire first month, which allows our clinicians sufficient time to thoroughly review each member's medical history. During this period, clinicians can address any questions and develop a tailored treatment plan.

Currently, the member is in communication with both the Care Coordinator and the Clinician and should expect to receive their personalized treatment plan shortly.

      Sincerely,

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

It is now the third week of meaningless back and forth messages with clinician and coordinator. I have loaded everything required and do not understand why in the world it has taken this long to review my file--which consists of 1) an assessment I filled out on day 1 and 2)  my labs----which I have loaded twice. I have absolutely no confidence in this care team and what they may suggest for me many weeks after my initial engagement. In addition my consult date with the nutritionist is not until May 20th---two months after paying my first fee. Imagine my primary care doctor practicing this way----taking three plus weeks to decide next step after getting my test results. This is not model clinical care and I demand my subscription be cancelled. They can keep my initial payment of ****** (which I have gotten nothing in exchange except for stress, disappointment and meaningless messages) --I demand cancellation of my subscription and no further billing. Last comment: Can you imagine how damaging this is to a person that is ready to engage and start a very hard weight loss journey--only to find out you have to wait a month to get started. With weight loss--you have to start when the decision is made to make a change.  Shame on you Weight Watchers.

I was seeking G** * ***** after speaking with my oncologist. My insurance has declined the prescription so, I was hoping to obtain medication in other way. When. I first saw weight watchers ad, it said, $49 a month. In addition, they lead me to the evaluation which indicated that I qualified to receive medication. After going through their requirements and filled out the information, I found out that it was same thing as my doctor and my insurance declined. So now I was to pay $ 600 per month if I need *** * meds. It was only after I signed up, all of this became very clear to me. In addition, it was only the first month that is $49 but after that I was to pay $74 per month. Since I cant afford to get *** * meds, and I wont be able to utilize their services, I tried to explain that I didnt understand this service fully and I made a mistake; that I would like to cancel the membership. Their response was that I could cancel the service, but they will continue to take $74 per month for a year., as I signed up for one year. I told them that the way they have it on line, it is very hard to figure out actual service. Why do I need to pay $74 per month for services that I cannot utilize and the way the company lured me in was very misleading. I can get prescriptions from my regular doctor and she would monitor my health, so why would I sign up if I knew their service was such. I am a senior who has fixed income and I cant pay $74 per month for a year. I truly misunderstood the service thinking it is $49 per month, and thought that medication was included. I tried to ask to please modify and let me cancel, however they flatly refused and basically said they will take my money even if they dont provide any services. I will be willing to pay reasonable cancellation fee if that is what it takes. I am filling complaint for the way they mislead a person like myself into signing up and not allowing people to cancel the service and monthly fee.

I accidentally signed up for a 12 month subscription of their weight loss drugs. I have a learning disability and their wording is confusing so I misunderstood what I was signing up for. I had someone look over what I had just signed up for and they explained that it wasnt for the weight loss drugs it was for a weight loss care team. I called the WW customer service line 10 minutes after signing up and the *** told me the program I had signed up for was not through WW so she couldnt cancel it for me that I had to message the care team and they would easily cancel it for me since I misunderstood and it was minutes after signing up. I emailed them and also messaged them in the app. I explained I didnt understand what I was signing up for and realized it minutes after so Id like to cancel. I told them I have a learning disability and was confused and they still refused to refund me or cancel my contract. I considered using WW because I thought they were a business I could trust but theyre taking advantage of people. They should let someone cancel if its a few mins after especially if they were confused about what they were signing up for. Ive included screenshots of the conversations.

On March 31, I joined ****** watchers clinic access. I paid $399.00 for one month membership. WW was still sending me chat messages asking the same information which I had supplied many times. They were stalling over many weeks and still had not provided the agreed upon weight loss medicine. I cancelled and asked for a full refund of $399 as they did not comply with committed services. They sent me $85.00. I would like the full refund

on 3/20 WW erroneously debited $95 from my bank account. they apologized and cited a billing error. they said my next payment would be less the $95. today the full amount is pending to be drafted. i called the corporate affairs resolution team 2x today. they said they can't help me, that i have to message in the app, which has a 48-hour turnaround time. this is awful that they took $95 and have not resolved, even after admitting the problem.

On April 7, 2025 I was signing up for a basic $10 WW program. I was browsing around the app and saw that they offered a program called Weight Watchers clinic, which is $49 a month and the insurance covers the medication. Not until after they had me commit to $49 a month. Did they tell me that my insurance was not going to cover it? Now theyre telling me its going to be $74 a month for the subscription for 12 months plus an additional fee of 100 plus for the ******** 70 years old and live on Social Security. There is no way I can afford this and I immediately stopped after being told my insurance was not going to cover it. From that same point Ive been trying to cancel or make some type of adjustment where I can get back to the basic $10 WW program. But they refuse to even consider this and there is no customer service to call. They have figured out the perfect scam for us elderly people.

I signed up for the 1 year subscription for the WW Clinic to access weight loss medication. I started it and it went fine. Then my doctor told me I shouldn't be on the meds, so I tried to cancel. Weight Watchers won't even let you cancel your one year subscription when you have a doctor telling you not to use it. I can't do anything with the subscription due to doctor's orders and I'm stuck paying a huge monthly subscription ($74.00 a month) with no way to cancel or get my money back.

I signed up for weight watchers back in February, I then cancelled it as I did not want to do it anymore.
