I willingly signed up for the 10 month plan, having had success with Weight Watchers in the past. What I did not know was that they planned to dramatically change the services being offered, so I can only interface with the program via my phone as of May. I have a tremor, and I would never have signed up for this type of program had I known it was coming, but like others, I was told that I cannot cancel. This leaves me with a very bad impression of the company.

They stole from me. I bought food through them once(which was disgusting fyi) and they used my card and have been charging me for a membership I never signed up for for the past 4 years. I'm out $1400 dollars because the credit card company won't do anything. I used my card for everything so I never saw the payments because I was just paying what I could every month to pay it down. I only saw it because I finally paid the card off and saw the charge a week later. This company is a scam.STAY AWAY!!!!

Purchasing products would not set up a membership. Membership terms have to be agreed to in order for it to activate. This membership was signed up for on 7/11/2020 and has several months of weights tracked. Per our terms, monthly billing continues until canceled. We have no prior record of cancelation.

The program USED to be good. Now meetings are few and far between. No more charms. No more WW food is available. Tracking food is no longer supported on the web page which is a very big problem. Not everyone wants a smart phone, they are difficult to see and type on and the app is extremely buggy. No more lifetime membership as this requires in person meetings which are hours away.

I have tried to cancel this for about 6 months and they refuse. Continuously charging me $10/month. The app does not work. The website no longer allows me to enter food. I am paying for a service that is pointless.

Signed up with WW "Sequence," which looked like a good option to help losing weight. Never spoke to a person directly, but after three months of paying finally received medication. The medication made me nauseated. Called WW to cancel and they said I could not since I was on a prepaid plan. Not happy, but let it go. Called back in late April 2024 because I was prepaid until that time and WW had already automatically restarted my membership. There are to many underhanded miscommunications. If I would have know that my insurance would not pay for the medication upfront would have never joined the prepaid plan. WW leaves out key information, for instance what if you cannot take the prescribed what are your objects. It is all set up through texting. Talking to customer service is just as bad. This is the absolutely worst weight lost program out there. Please don't get scam by WW.

Beware of joining Weight Watchers online. Due to an error on my part, however, I did call to express it was in error and did not realize what I had done. Poor customer service and repetitively rehearsed the contract, would not allow to talk about what I had done and basically stated your bound by a year. One why to make money that’s for sure. I’ve used weight watchers for years, but I will never ever use it again.

Thank you for contacting Weight Watchers in regards to your Billing concerns. In reviewing your case and speaking with you I was able to cancel the account.

Please let us know if you need further assistance. It was a pleasure speaking with you.

      Have a great weekend.

Well, seeing as how I just got cut off from chatting with a 24/7 "coach" when I was in the middle of typing a response, I think WW *****. I signed up for a 10 month commitment, and within a month I was requesting a cancellation. I did not use the app at all, and wanted to be refunded as I knew I wasn't going to use the app as I thought I would. Fast forward 8 months, and I am still being charged ***** a month, which I was just told was steeply discounted and I got a great deal....FOR SOMETHING I DON'T USE. Instead of listening, the agent basically told me everything I already knew, what I signed up for, and that it would be canceled next month at the end of my agreement. Again, 10 months of not using the app, money paid toward something I never used, money that I need. Do not sign up for the program unless you want to be locked in and want them to take your money!

On our website, one must specifically select the plan one wants. The longer duration selected, the more reduced the price is. Our cancel Terms are very clearly stated on the website. In fact, during the sign up process, there is a box that must be checked before submitting that has two short paragraphs and in ******* states While you may cancel your subscription at any time, cancellation will not go into effect until the end of your Commitment Plan. After submitting, the next screen says Welcome to the Community and  under Order Confirmation it shows again that same paragraph with the canceling message in bold. And yet again, it is in the sign up receipt email.

I signed up for what I thought was a free trial with WW with the option to cancel at any time! I signed up on January 15th and cancelled on January 29, 2024 and am still being billed for the 10 months.Obviously, I thought this was a trial since I cancelled within two weeks (trial was supposed to be for 30 days). Now, I am still getting billed and told that even though I cancelled within the first 30 Days I am stuck paying the $10.80 each month for 10 months???? This seems neither fair or ethical!

*********************** would not be happy with what has become of her company, her company's name. It's not an atypical situation, but rather yet another example of the profit motive taking more and more precedence over customer service. The latest: 1. The company is ending its website support for necessary features for "users" and forcing members onto tiny screen apps on phones and tablets. Not everyone wants to maneuver on tiny screens; not everyone has a smartphone or tablet; security is much harder to effect on a phone or tablet, compared to a computer. What is most egregious is that people like myself where were locked into a fixed month subscription (10 months in my case) were not required to use a smart phone or tablet when we signed up, yet getting WW to address the change - i.e. cancel the subscription early - is extremely time consuming and a "fight." Instead, they company prefers to effectively STEAL money from "trapped" subscribers who don't want to be forced onto a smart phone or tablet app.2. There is no longer any customer service via email. (CustomerService@ WeightWatchers.com is effectively automated and will eventually tell you email support has been discontinued. You are directed to the "Coaching" feature on the website (for now) or app. That lovely (not) feature is an AI bot - it takes effort to eventually get offered a "live agent." I recommend just keep typing "live agent" until you reach one.3. The online "coaches" are actually agents. What they know about weight-loss and psychology is unknown, but I suspect it isn't much. *** I recommend people avoid Weight Watchers, as IMO it has become an unethical company that also embraces customer DIS-service.

We regret the member feels this way. When she chatted in regarding the matter, as a courtesy her membership was canceled prior to completing the 10-month plan.

This has become an absolutely disgraceful company. I guess its hard for them to make money these days? They are resorting to literally robbing people who unknowingly sign up for months. They say, over and over, we made it clear, yet, over and over, it wasnt clear to many, many people. Shame!
