Filled a claim on July 6, 2022 regarding both my wife and I contracting covid 19 on a Celebrity cruise ship. This trip was insured by an AON travel protection.plan.I have sent all documentation they have requested on July 6 by certified mail, return receipt. they received the documents. After a few calls to AON to see how the claim was progressing, I received the same answer, we are working on it. ON the next to last call. the Aon agent told me they needed a trip interruption claim form which I was never told about nor did I have. The agent emailed me the form which I printed, filled out and mailed back to AON certified with return receipt on September 28 and they picked up on October 4. With that claim form I also included, for the second time, the doctors report confirming covid19 and the cruise itinerary. I just called back today, October 25 regarding an email I received wanting the doctors report and the travel invoice, which I already sent twice, he checked and told me to disregard the email. I asked him about the progress on my claim and his response was were working on it. What a terrible company.

Had there been a choice for less than one star, that would have been my rating. After resending the same documents several times, I finally received a form letter declining coverage. My wife and I had booked flights in July 2022 to ********** to attend a conference in ****** in Sept 2022. My wife had been diagnosed with Early On-set Alzheimer's the previous year, but since that time we had traveled by air four (4) times, the most recent being in August 2022 to *******, **. However, after returning from that trip and prior to our trip to **********, it was clear my wife's anxiety from the Alzheimer's was such that we would not be able to make the trip to **********. I canceled our flights and submitted a claim as instructed. The claim was denied because my wife had had treatment for the Alzheimer's prior to having booked the flights. I guess this means she will be discriminated against for the remaining portion of her life. Yes, she had been medicated for the symptoms of Alzheimer's. And, the effectiveness of those medications is what in part allowed her to travel those four previous times. What a waste of money to have chosen to purchase the insurance. I would never recommend that anyone purchase travel insurance through AON Affinity. So impersonal. Clearly looking for a manner by which to deny claims.DON'T PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE FROM AON AFFINITY.

Purchased insurance for cruise due to depart on 10/28. Fractured my hip end of August and cancelled planned cruise immediately. Filed claim on 9/7, was told 2-3 weeks. I called 9/21 to check status and was told 30 business days. I called 10/19 (43 days from filing), and was told they need 30 more business days due to a large # of claims, which are supposedly processed in the order they were received. I asked to speak to claims adjustor, I now await someone from Aon to call me back in ***** business hours for all I know the 30 business days will happen sooner. Complained to Cruise Line hoping they discontinue their partnership with Aon, based on this experience so far

The *** travel insurance was purchased due to the possibility of me canceling ********** because I have two Stage 4 Cancers. Unfortunately I was experiencing serious issues when the time came to Cruise and we were forced to cancel. We submitted the Claim on line as required, Faxed 28 pages of Medical Records and other Documents and all we have after 4 months from *** is excuses such as we need more documents , then 30 days later we didnt get this document then 30 days later we are very busy. All of this is nothing more than a STALL TACTIC, hoping that the Claimants will get discouraged and go away. I ATTEMPTED TO LOCATE THE *** OR PRESIDENT WITH A CONTACT METHODOLOGY HOWEVER I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL.

Scam I was sold “required travelers insurance” through ******** underwritten by Aon, but I’m already fully insured, so it’s basically worthless just a complete and utter scam…If you are active duty military do not fall for this all you need is to show proof of eligibility through your **********…..

This company has handled by trip cancellation claim very poorly. They repeatedly sent my claim check to the incorrect address after I provided my new address. Then they told me they mailed the checks to my correct address and never did. My claim has been ongoing since march 2022 and is still unresolved

I'd like to give them no stars, filed the claim back in the beginning of May and every time I check on it I'm told they need more time and then after 5 months they told me to submit it to my primary insurance, I had already told them that I didn't have a primary and that was why I was submitting it to them. At this point I've told them that my primary is not retroactive and will not cover something that happened while I didn't have the ******* and ********* Now I'm wondering if anyone ever gets paid . I got a respiratory infection on my cruise and it cost me $1,800 for the two hours I spent in the infirmary and for the antibiotics.

I filed claim at the beginning of July and still have had no resolution in spite of calling weekly. Every time I have called I had a scripted response read to me stating that my claim has been assigned and is being processed. Very disappointed in this company's response time. I am concerned after waiting so long for the claim to be reviewed that it will be ultimately denied. I do not recommend this company under any circumstances. I would recommend avoiding it at all costs.
