      Run, don't walk, away from Superior Plus! They are anything but "superior"! Superior bought out a smaller company in our area, *****, and it has been downhill ever since.
      Their CSR's do not communicate with each other, or you, or the service dept or follow up on anything. If you do not constantly call and follow up, you won't get anything from them. You have to do their job for them because they don't seem interested in doing it themselves. They are a service company that doesn't seem to care about service.
      We had a propane leak at our generator connection, installation work they had done. Their service tech came and pronounced the installation work was, "all wrong" and performed with expensive parts we didn't need. Eventually we got him back and he fixed it, but we were never credited for the parts we didn't need.
      I constantly pointed out the rusty condition of our propane tank to delivery and service staff and I was told "it's not a problem". The tech that corrected the leak couldn't read the S/N on the tank and said it needed to be replaced because it was in poor condition. After numerous calls and emails, I eventually had the thank swapped out many weeks later. I guess Superior didn't care about the potential for a major gas leak and or an explosion.
      Were it not for the good price we have on a group buy for propane I would kick their six to the curb. If the price changes much, I will.
      DO NOT sign on with Superior, you will regret it.

      Beware! If you have a deaf in the owner of the home, not only will they force you to buy the same propane your family already has purchased, they will insist you open a new account, charge you for a review of the tank and sell you the same fuel your family already purchased. Then they will try and avoid refunding you the fuel your family has now purchased twice! I also insisted they not fill the tank, since we were selling the home and no one was living there, they did and charged for that fuel too. We sell the home and I notified them on 5/7.. ***** said they would be out the next day to lock the tank which would force the new owners to contact them and set up a new account. I called to check in the status of my refund (over $500 for fuel I paid twice for) on 5/29 and they still have not issued me a refund even stating they need to read the tank propane level. Its been 21 days. I would not recommend this company to anyone needing propane given how they have handled my Fathers estate.

      They are not honest! Bought a house and the fireplace had propane tank. We paid to remove it then they kept ?? us for a service call that was a “no charge” call. We never used any propane! Finally removed this charge because our lawyer called them! Don’t trust them don’t use them!

      We have been out of propane sense Monday. The office staff is very rude and they do not give a **** about you or your family. We have had to go other places to eat and shower. When I called her again this morning to get an update on our fuel, The very very ruse lady in the office informed us she does not know how long it will take before we have fuel......Her exact words" nothing more I can do for you mam as she hangs up in my face........

      Was on auto refill with budget billing, and given a "no run-out" promise. In 2 years with the company, ran out of gas 3 times. Last time they told me I would have to find an alternate heat source, because it would be a few days before they could make it out. (It was cold, but not dangerous to travel.) The only time they did fill my tank without running out was for the April "top-off." Which became payable immediately due to the May "true-up." Then they added the cost of that tank to my yearly usages number, driving my monthly cost up $300 a month.
      And as others have said, after paying them to remove the tank and them taking the regulator off the house which I discovered I paid for at the install, they are saying 6-8 weeks for a refund.
      But things happen for a reason, new company is $.80 a gallon cheaper, they actually have a remote monitor on the tank so they know exactly how much gas I have (Superior used some type of funky formula that obviously does not work), I made my neighbor very happy by suggesting to them they should switch too!

      1 star only because you cannot review with zero or negative stars. Prices out of line with other reputable companies (MUCH higher), When I changed to a more reasonably priced company I requested a refund of my budget payment account. I was told it would be 4-5 weeks to get a check because they used a '3rd party' for refunds. After waiting 5 weeks, I called to check status, and was told the person I had spoken with 5 weeks ago filled out the 'wrong form' and it would now be another 4 -5 weeks, with no way to expedite seeing as they made the mistake. They are holding almost $1000 of my money and don't seem to be in any hurry to return it. I'D STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

      Before Superior Plus bought out our local company, ******* ***, we got same day or next day service. Now they take longer than a week and my propane tank is completely empty before they show up.

      Very unsatisfactory customer service--especially considering how much more expensive their rates seem to be. My tank is empty and I discovered today that after four days, I'm not even on their delivery schedule. (I was told that they "May be able to get to you this week.") P.S. Another company was happy to schedule a delivery right away.

      I would give them no stars if i could write a comment with none but had to rate so i could comment. My ELDERLY grandmother has more than $1000 to use on her account. Osterman has not delivered or even checked the propane. Woke up this morning to the house being 52 degrees. The house is currently at 40 degrees and dropping had to go buy space heaters to warm the living room and block off the rest of the house after being on the phone with them all day. One minute they say they will be out before closing, someone else gets on and says “sorry, they put you on for tomorrow” then someone else says someone will be there within 1-2 hours and then at 9:30pm they say that the regional manager shut down someone coming out tonight because its not enough or an emergency. My grandmother is eldery, on blood thinners, has a heart condition, and can NOT be in the cold. This company does not care about anyone! I let them know they will have a lawsuit on their hands! DO NOT USE OSTERMAN!

      I see I am not the only one who has experienced the loss of customer service and higher prices. I have a credit of $1,000 of my money on the account and I have not been able to get them to deliver the home heating oil I ordered on 12/19/2023. They used to give interest on credit balances, not anymore. They centralized their dispatch and now we are all just a number and a dollar sign. yesterday they said someone would be out, but he never showed. I should have known; he used the old line "the gate is locked". We don't even have a lock on the gate, he knows that, and he is supposed to call so we can put the dogs up for his safety and theirs. I called 3 times, left a voicemail and sent an email. I explained we have a 3-month-old baby in the house, and this is extremely important. They don't care. Tried to email the leadership on the website, but that link is a scam too, just shows a turning submit button and the email doesn't go through. The minimum order is 100 gallons so I have to wait until it is at a quarter tank to call, then they complain I waited too long and it is all my fault. This company has gone downhill in the last two years they over charge and don't deliver. The customer service reps have become like robots, emotionless and bland. They don't care about the rural customer, and they want us to stop using heating oil it seems. It is a shame.
