My experience with Beam Solar LLC has been lackluster. The A/C unit at my residence started to go out around July 2nd, 2023
Beam reached out after my wife entered some information on an ad on Facebook. Shortly after, Beam and my wife created an appointment where in the same day I signed a contract in belief that this company was worthy of my business. I had been fooled.
The pitch of 4-6 weeks to be complete was prevarication in it's prime. The loan was approved almost immediately. $10,320.00 was approved to begin for solar panel installation, HVAC unit, and a new roof. The complete project was to be a grand total of 42,000.00. No effort was made by the company to inform me of what was happening. I had to text them to find out any information on what was happening; did I mention that the HVAC unit was out in the middle of the summer? After weeks of being told they had to wait on a permit I began to question there validity. Someone in the company must have possibly ****** off the person who gives out the permission slips to achieve work orders. Then about 38 days into the process I get a text from the salesman stating that they were attempting to get me on the schedule for installation; Surprise! Surprise! No one ever called me from operations. It is day 42 August, 14, 2023 and I have sent a cancellation letter to Beam Solar Co and have informed the loan company of my cancellation as well. With no to poor communication I can almost be positive that this company has already spent that money on a different project. This company's ratings and reviews have begun to sink upon agreeing to do business with them. I have received no equipment, no plans, and no schedule in the entire process but they got my money. My family and I are still without HVAC in the dog days of summer.

A total fraudulent nightmare. Sunco Solar told us that by installing their solar panels we would receive a free roof and solar panels that would drop our Con ****** bills down to zero at no cost to us. We are now paying $350 a month for the panels plus our regular energy bill and the solar panels aren't hooked up or producing power. So we have non functional panels and a massive monthly bill. Furthermore, we had con ****** come to do an inspection (after the contractor for the Solar company did multiple site visits in preparation) and it turns out that our basement is not compatible with the solar requirements and that they might never be able to hook up the solar, which frankly the solar company should have told us during the discovery phase. The main problems:1) misrepresentations about the costs and savings benefits afforded by the residential solar power systems for sale 2) the companies aggressive and predatory sales and marketing tactics in persuading us to lease or purchase their product and service3) Costs and savings misrepresentations, in particular,Suncoexaggerating their systems potential to save us money, despite financing that *** end up costing us more. 4) Claims around costs and savings whereSuncooverstated our access to certain solar tax credits or overpromised the impact of those tax credits on our tax bills.5) Various violations of New York's unfair and deceptive or abusive practices acts.6) Practices of going door-to-door and misrepresenting the quality of solar roof, cost of solar roof and potential energy savings of solar roof.

After dealing with a sunco representative at my home my credit were checked I was approved for the free new roofing repair along with solar panels. I was told the entire project will cost about $15,000 and will have to make monthly payments to a company. GOOD LEAP who finance the project, after I got the roof repair and PANELS will install about two weeks after I got the monthly payments from the company GOOD LEAP only to learn it was a $50,000 loan I receive from them which I was never told from SUNCO, this $50,000 loan I never signed up for, GOOD LEAP send me bill payments of $435. per month for a duration of ************************************ over $118,000. I am still in disbelief of the fraudulent scheme SUNCO has cost me. PEOPLE. with the other reviews I am reading others are saying the PANELS has problems, and it dont even give enough ***** to cover a zero bill from your electric carrier mines is Con ******* so overall, I will still have a con *********************, and paying GOOD LEAP $435 per month. I cannot believe the nightmare I was lead to by this ****************** SUNCO. I tried to call Good Leap for my original contract and they given me the run around.I tried calling the company Sunco who I originally dealt with and its impossible to even speak with someone.People they say its a government funded program its not they say its a free roof its not its a loan and youre paying back with high interest.THE COMPANY SUNCO SOLAR IS A FRAUDULENT SHADOW COMPANY DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

Hello, ******, thank you for reaching out with your complaint. There are many misunderstandings that I would like to address.

      - The roof you signed up for is not free nor have we every claimed it was. You are confusing the fact that there is no upfront cost for the roof. The loan was bundled together with your solar. It is included in the project cost. This was outlined specifically on the contract and in the recorded welcome call. Your roof was just completed on June 20, 2023. With all labor and materials factored in your roof would have been approximately $12,000.

      - Your solar panels were installed shortly after on June 22, 2023. They are not producing any energy as of today because we have not completed the necessary electrical work and gotten Permission To Operate (PTO) from Con ******* Once we pass all inspections we will turn your panels on.

      - The cost of your electrical work alone to bring your home up to the *** standards is around $8,500. This amount of electrical scope is not included in the project contract. Out of goodwill, SUNco has not transferred this cost to you.

      - As per your concerns with GoodLeap, the loan is for $50,000. This loan is between you and GoodLeap. You were made aware of the terms of the agreement and signed the contract. Unfortunately, interest rates are high at the moment but this has nothing to do with SUNco or GoodLeap. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to GoogLeap directly.

      - The tax incentives & rebates are provided by the government on a federal, state, and city level. You just signed up for the program back in April 8, 2023, so you have not taken advantage of them. Next tax season you need to file the solar project with your tax professional. Once you roll those incentives & rebates into your loan your monthly payments will greatly drop. Your estimated net contract cost was not $15,000 it was $20,000. I am emailing you your contract for your reference.

The claims of fraud are taken seriously at SUNco. We have not acted fraudulently in any way. Please, contact customer support via email ***************************************** for your future concerns.

We had the panels installed in September of 2021. We have not received any benefits from having them on the roof. The panel monitor says the panels are producing but our electric provider says that the info from the panels are not being transmitted to them. We called each month since October 2021. We have just been getting the run around. We are now paying the electric company and the bank for the panels Sunco has gotten their monies from the state and we are now in dire straits trying to maintain the payments. We submitted a complaint and they cancelled the bank payments for a couple of months. We thought they were trying to work with the electric company to fix the issue, but they are still telling us the panels are working fine. It is literally costing more to have the panels than not having them. they initially said the panels would cover the whole house and then after installing, said it would only cover the owners apartment. It is now approaching 2 years and we still have to pay a full electric bill or we will have to live in darkness. I also work from home so no electric will impact my income. The last call from the bank affiliated with Sunco said we will ruin your credit if you don't pay for the panels. this is a horror story, we requested Sunco come out and take a second look at our system. They declined unless we paid another $250. This company deserves a negative 5 star!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company along with its banks are the new modern thieves that position themselves to strip hard-working people out of their homes by using deceptive tactics to lock you in on a solar contract that promises savings for two meters and deceptively claims that there's an issue with the 1st contract and force you into a contract for just one meter and put a lien on your property the minute you sign the contract with them. The bank they use to process the loan seems to be well aware of their deceptive tactics There are no real savings. They should be reported they are misrepresenting the idea of going solar. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. A DEFINITE ZERO STAR.
