At 02/14/2024, I went to Good Year auto service Center ask them to do the oil change, just right after they give my car back, my car won't go into Gear and Drive Train Malfunction light came on. I towed my car to BMW Dealer, BMW found that the good year staff drained my transmission fluid(they should drain my engine oil but not), and Then add more oil to my engine but without drain my engine first. The BMW contact good year send them the Estimate price(1660$) to them. Good Year apologize to me and say their insurance gonna cover it and also my rental car, but until right now, it's been two weeks. no insurance contact me and BMW, my car still didn't get repair. I keep renting car(700$). I'm just a student without any family support me in this country , and I don't have the funds to continue a rental. And I went to the Good Year service center several times, but they can't give me an answer about when they can cover my bill. I feel so hopeless, I really need help for this situation.Business Response

NTB is a retailer of tires including Goodyear tires. I purchased a set of 4 new Goodyear tires in early January 2024. There was an alleged $50 rebate for buying a set of Goodyear tires. I submitted the rebate, received a "virtual" rebate debit card from Goodyear but there was no funds on the card even after multiple attempts to activate the card. Totally a fraud to say there was any funds on the rebate debit card. Goodyear is baiting customers to purchase their product with some incentive of a rebate then providing an empty debit card. There is no point of contact to correct or address the error. An Internet search shows this is a common scam used by Goodyear.Business Response

I took my car into this shop on February 13, 2024 for a simple oil change, this was the second oil change on the car all together. Picked up the car 2 hours later and it cost 109.15. I did not get 20 something miles from shop and my oil light and check engine light came on. I went to shop the next morning about the situation, and they asked me to drive car there so they can check. I did not feel comfortable doing so, so I referred them to tow. I was instructed then that I would have to pay for tow once it is proven that they were not at fault. Since all they did was drain the oil and put new oil in. I called my dealership and had the car towed there since I knew they would work in my best interest. They had the car for a week and preformed an inspection on vehicle and determined the oil change was done incorrectly and has now resulted in a need for a new motor costing 10,855.57. I have contacted this shop and they have done nothing to help. They refused to give me anyone to speak with outside of the few employees in the shop. They said they filed claim with Goodyear but will not provide me with claim number or number to call regarding said claim. No one has returned my calls, no one has followed up, I have absolutely nothing that from this location that states there was even anyone else contacted. I called all numbers listed as "corporate" they are disconnected. I cannot get anyone outside of the awful employees that work in the store front to speak with. Which consists of the rudest manager I have ever dealt with who literally yelled in my face.Business Response

I bought a set of 4 new Goodyear tires and was supposed to receive a mail in rebate. I completed all the necessary steps to receive rebate. The status said approved and they claim it was sent. But I never received anything. Ive been trying to call and email and get a resolution but they are unwilling to help. I do not believe that anything was ever sent. They just lie and say they sent it but in reality, the mail in rebate is just a lie to sell more tires. They dont honor it and dont pay the rebate. Its just a lie to trick people into buying their tires over other brands and they have no intentions of actually paying out the mail in rebates. This is a very dishonest company that deserves to go out of business for defrauding their own customers. This company is a disgrace and should be ashamed of their dishonesty and fraudulent business practices.Business Response

Goodyear promotes a rebate program when customers buy 4 tires. When you apply they approve and use tactics like asking for a bill with your address in your name and a copy of your license. I gave them a copy of my receipt for the purchase and used their credit card to make the transaction easier. It is unacceptable to tell me my application address does not match my account address. I can see both and these match. This is a ***** to get more information about me.Business Response

On 11/29/2023, I paid $911.15 to have 4 tires replaced at Goodyear in ******* **.
On 01/14/2024, I had a flat tire during the snowstorm at ******** mountain in **. Because one rock stuck into the tire so deep it punctured a hole. Other 3 tires had rocks stuck in them too, but no holes.
Obviously, this tire has quality problem. Please see the image files in the attached files.
I called Goodyear several times after the incident, Goodyear refused to replace the cracked tire with various reasons.
New tires are covered by warranty for 3 years or 36k miles by Goodyear.
Resolution request:
Replace patched tire or all 4 tires , and tire alignment, Free of charge.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
“my phone number is inaccurate ”,That’s an excuse! Both of our contact information and vehicle/tire information are in the Goodyear system and have been in Goodyear’s system for over a decade.
I called Goodyear, the same response:” we’ll inspect the tire, and you’ll pay the installation for the replacement tire.”
Goodyear is trying to void my resolution request by directing me back, and make claim process so difficult so that I will give up.
Resolution request:
1. reimburse me $325 for tire change and patching
2. Replace patched tire or all 4 tires , and tire alignment, Free of charge. Here is my contact information:

Bought their window deflectors over the "holidays" and finally got around to attemping to install them. Instructions provided were impossible, for me, to follow and of the 4 installation videos on the site provided, ***********************, none were for the product type I had. Tried best I could to install them. Didn't seem to turn out right, I think the clips provided have caused damage to my window seal and I've lost one of the clips and damaged the protective tape provided for said clips. The clip keeps rubbing/catching on the window, I have not tried to open the window since, they stated to be left in for at least 72 hours, longer if colder. It has been well over that time, but I wanted to talk to someone about them before I tried to go further.
I tried to contact said company from the website provided on ***********************. I have emailed *************************************** 3 times with no response, with pictures of my issue. Called the number provided on the site, ** *** *******, which was picked up by someone representing some company sounding nothing like who they are supposed to be. I had extreme difficulty understanding them and maybe they did too, I had to repeat myself quite a few times. We were interrupting each other and apparently that was too much for them. They ended up hanging up on me crying.Business Response

The window deflector is a licsened product, not manufactured by Goodyear. We have forwarded the complaint the

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, its too bad, I am not available when it is convenient for them. I do not answer random phone calls without prior knowledge someone is calling. I do not respond to like text messages. I needed the support when I first contacted. I find it extremely shady that you are protecting this entity that is using the Goodyear name and selling products with instructions written so tiny no one without a magnifying glass is going to be able to read/see it and so vague as to not give you enough detail how things are supposed to be/look. As well as "instructional" videos that do the same, no close up of what they are doing. They might of well taken a video of them putting on socks. It is sad that a company can sell products under the name and logo of a well known, reputable company and not offer the same level of customer support.

On March 9th of 2023, I had to put on new tires at my dealership. My dealership sources Good Year Tires for Subaru Foresters. I also am a **** member, so my dealership matched the **** quote for new Good Year All Assurance tires for my Subaru Forester. I purchased these tires, per the **** quote, for $557.04. Each tire (225/60 17.0 ********* ***) cost 137.95 for the **** price. At an oil change only TEN MONTHS later, my tires had almost balded after my dealership had conducted a thorough vehicle check, per my car care service plan. I only had driven 5,528 miles on these tires, and the LF tire was down to 3/32nd, the RF tire was down to 4/32nd, and the back two tires were down to 5/32nd (from a starting point of 9/32nd!!!). The tires have a 65,000 mileage warranty and 6 years!! I didn't even get 10 months until almost balded tires!! My dealership pursued a reimbursement from Good Year after sending these tires back in. Good Year then reimbursed ONLY $175.00 total!!!! That isn't REMOTELY close to a prorated cost for what I should have gotten out of their tires, per their warranty! I called Good Year, and talked to a Angel who first told me that they only received 2/4 tires to process. I called the dealership immediately after who had documentation to prove that ALL FOUR TIRES were sent in for processing! They followed up with Good Year, and THEN Good Year said they would only give me a credit for the other two tires for $172 to future Good Year tires. WHY would I want a credit for tires that failed me, AFTER they cut me a check for the other two tires?! The dealership called Good Year AGAIN and a *** told my dealership they actually would cut a check for the $172.00, but couldn't prorate the cost I paid for but the cost the tires cost the company to build. This IS FRADULENT! Their policy says that they will prorate for fast wear tires every 2/32nd and nowhere advertises it's for the cost they built them for! I have spent HOURS of my time dealing with this!Business Response

Customer has been issued a check refund.Customer Answer
Date: 02/14/2024
I am rejecting this response because:
Although Good Year provided a refund for the second set of tires, it was not remotely close to a prorated amount for the tires. I had to ask for several rounds of supervisors to finally have someone agree that I am to be refunded in cash for the other two tires. I only received a total of 347.44 refund after weeks of asking (originally only 175) for tires that I paid 557.04 dollars for that I only got 5,228 miles out of. It nowhere says on their website or is marketed that they will only prorate the cost of the tires for what THEY paid for them versus what WE paid for them. Then when I asked for the product teams number (since the customer service department said they do not deal with who assesses the tires), they said only dealerships can have that number to contact and further follow up. The supervisor I talked to was very understanding and finally had empathy for what I had dealt with and have gone through, but it felt to me they finally "caved" to give me back my refund for an extremely reduced prorate to try and get me to stop fighting for what is right. I never expected a refund for these tires that would have equated what I paid for them. The prorate on their website says for "prior to wear-out (down the 2/32"), the tire will be replaced for 70% of the advertised selling price of the comparable tire at the time of adjustment". That means what I paid for each of these tires should have been 137.95 x .70 = 96.56 x 4. I should have gotten AT LEAST a refund of $386.26 total. They had no rationale for why I got the refunds I did when asked, and when I asked for a number to call I wasn't provided one. It's just been incredibly frustrating dealing with this. I appreciate the supervisor who FINALLY helped me get a check (after weeks of hours of phone calls with people who told me incorrect information), but I am still not satisfied with the company's action on this.Business Response

Goodyear tire company offered rebate of $75 on rebate offer #****** for the purchase of 4 Wrangler All terrain Adventure with ******, I purchsed 4 of the tires at my local Sam,s Club in ******** **. I sent in all rebate paperwork with proof of purchase and received the email attached telling me, Your dealer is not on a list of participating dealers, at date of purchase I had no way of knowing the dealer was not participating. I purchased the Goodyear tires based on receiving a rebate of the $75. Sam,s Club in ******** ** sells many choices of Goodyear tires. It appears they would be a Goodyear dealer, and should honor the rebate. I feel Goodyear Tire company may be using their explanation as a way of not paying some of the rebates.Business Response
Date: 02/07/2024
Good afternoon,
I have reviewed customer concern.
As per Goodyear's terms, the retailer is not eligible
for the rebate program. Sam's Club does not participate in the Goodyear
Rebate Program as Sam's Club has already provided an instant rebate ($140.00)
at the time of purchase which can be seen on the receipt. Customer does not qualify for any further rebates.Terms and conditions listed on rebate form:
Offer valid only for U.S. residents who are individual consumers with mailing addresses in the U.S. and U.S.
territories. Commercial vehicles and fleets are not eligible for these rebates. Not valid on previous purchases. Cannot be combined with other Goodyear
tire rebate offers. Completed form must be postmarked or submitted online no later than 1/31/24. Allow 6 to 8 weeks for Visa Prepaid Card/Virtual
Card delivery.Customer Answer
Date: 02/09/2024
I am rejecting this response because: Any discount I received including the $40 for installation was due to being a plus member of Sam's club that I pay a membership fee of $110 per year.
