      Invoice **********

We live in ************* *** our suv Our brakes went out pedal to the floor on our Lincoln MKX while visiting a relative in ***** *******. Goodyear diagnosed as a bad master cylinder and replaced that part along with flush/bleed. We were able to drive car home to ************* **.

Invoice ********** Wife pulled out our garage, brakes failed went to floor just like prior repair. Called Local Goodyear and had to go back and forth with ***** to get Local store to honor Auto Service Center **** -
This store indicated bad bleed job, air in lines and re-bleed brake system. ************ Manager said if it happens again, it's the ABS system and must go to the dealer. I will say Manager in **** **** was light years better than the ************ arrogant manager, we have heard he has since been replaced ...

Aprrox 3 weeks later - wife backed out driveway brakes failed again - I called both stores, was given the run around about District manager approval for several weeks calling back and forth calls for help with repair or refund, Wife called, and they basically told us "Sorry we can't do anything to help" Now I'm stuck going to the Dealer and out the money. I crawled under the car and see fluid leaking under the master cylinder and noticed reservoir was low, disappointed,

Wife could have been seriously injured, she luckily had brakes fail both times pulling out driveway. Thank God my daughter who is 17 wasn't driving. Two trips to Goodyear for repairs and 2 months later. Many calls -- Felt my Trust was broken.

Drove car to Ford Dealer ***** this morning, they would not repair stating brakes need to be bleed for $391.00 and the ABS module was not throwing codes or need of replacement. I reached back out to Goodyear with Dealer story and now working with New Manager @ ************ store to resolve issue -- he is very determined & apologized for all the turmoil to get issue resolved. Working on repair of our vehicle with OEM master Cylinder - Thank you. Crossing my fingers and very appreciative

On Friday, December 8th, purchased 4 tires, for the amount of $921.90, and was told my purchase would be eligible for a $100 rebate on Saturday went to Just Tires for install and asked for rebate form, I was given a form with a QR code. I went to the Goodyear rebate site and completed required information. The initial purchase email and the representative both stated that I should get $100 back. After completing the form I checked online today and was told that the rebate is not valid. I tried to call customer service and was told the office is closed until Dec. 16, 2023. Seeking Good Year to honor what was promised for the rebate at time of sale. Thank you.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with the experience I have had with the GoodYear Assurance All-Season tires, which I purchased in January 2020 along with a 3-year road hazard insurance.

Less than a year after the purchase, I began experiencing issues with one of the tires, constantly losing air in a non-consistent pattern. Despite multiple complaints to the GoodYear shop at ***** * ******** ***** ******** ** *****, I was repeatedly told that there was nothing wrong, attributing it to weather changes.

Recently, I noticed small cracks developing on the sidewall, precisely at the edges of the engraved letters on the sidewall. To my shock, yesterday, the tire suffered a flat, and upon inspection, I discovered large cracks and holes on the sidewall, making it unsafe and in need of immediate replacement (please see attached photos).

I visited the same GoodYear shop today to explain my situation and I was denied any warranty claim. Instead, I was quoted approximately $200 for a new tire, which is unacceptable for a tire with less than 20,000 miles and less than 4 years of use.

I believe that the tire was defective and dangerous to use from the beginning, and I should not be held responsible for the replacement cost.

I expect a prompt and fair resolution to this issue.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Today, I just lost my second tire in same fashion (little bit less worse tham the first one). THIS IS UNUSUAL! These tires are giving up with only 20,000 miles on them! I don't feel safe driving on these tires anymore! Goodyear has to come up with a resolution!

I returned their call and the advise me to schedule an appointment to inspect the second tire, and the agent has no info regarding my first tire so he will had someone to call me back

      Business Response

We have been in contact with the customer. Recommend to setup
an appointment for the 3 remaining tires and the store to contact our office
with the inspection results. The first tire customer no longer has and was explained would need to pay full price and installation for a new tire of the same
brand and send in the invoice for review for refund assistance.

I brought car in for an oil change. Of course car looked over for other service issues and additional services were suggested. My rear light gate hydraulics had leaked & the litigate worked only manually. Suggested work was to replace rear windshield wiper. I had one in my ************ used it & did not charge me for labor. I found that I could not open my lift gate after the service. Brought it back and Mgr had crew looked at it. Mgr blamed the it on the broken power lift but it had worked manually for months beforehand. Stated his crew tried to open up from the inside but not one thing in the back trunk area was moved which you would need to do to access manual release. Definitely seek cost of repair to lift gate that functioned properly manually before this service.

I contacted Goodyear and was told the tire would be replaced, and given a number that only plays a recording. I have called for two days and no one answers. ******* refused to touch my tire.

      Hi
I placed an order for 4 tires on Tuesday 11/28 (yesterday)

ORDER NUMBER: ********** 4 Goodyear Endurance tires 205/75R14

There was a Cyber Monday Offer of $125 off (if ordering 4 tires)

      Two problems!

      1) It seems like a 15% promo code took priority and I was given a lower discount than the advertised deal on the page. I did place the order before the end of the deal. There did not seem to be a way to place a new order for 4 tires without the promo code (I would have done that and cancelled the first order where I was basically being “over-charged”). Trying to place a second order was repeatedly blocked by a card payment declined message. I contacted ******** ******* and asked about the declined card payment and they confirmed there was no declined payment so the issue was likely on the merchant side.

      2) Even though I did successfully place the order for 4 tires at the higher price than I wanted, the order was confirmed and I had a booking for the tires to be installed tomorrow at 8am. I called to confirm with the installers just now though and they had not received the tires. They said they could arrive tomorrow but unlikely before 8am. Now I see ******** ******* shows ************ refunded the payment of $735.23 but I also see no email from you to say why. How rude!

I was getting our trailer camper early tomorrow and going for installation that would not have happened. Who was going to contact me about that?

And on Friday we travel in our camper. I have a missing spare tire. I wanted to replace 4 “Trailer King” tires with 4 Goodyear Endurance before we go. I could have made alternate arrangements with another business to get the tires I need.

So my compliant is two fold:

      A) The unfair pricing on the ordering system. You should apply the best discount offer for the customer, not the cheapest from your perspective.

      B) Why refund an order you accepted? Why no communication? What do I do now to get the tires I wanted in time for a safe journey on Friday?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. They did call and left a voicemail, and it seems like they cancelled my order due to fraud concerns, although there was no fraud involved.

I spoke at length with a ************ agent. They started by saying they could not match the offer price they made but that changed over the course of our call.

We were unable to get the 4 tires before I needed them from Goodyear. Instead, I called ******** **** and they matched the failed sale from Goodyear for me. They checked they had a tire for me in stock.  They installed 1 tire to ensure I had a spare for our trip. They ordered the others needed and fitted them all the following week. Top marks to ******** **** who are just fabulous from a customer service perspective.

Disappointed for the reasons given in my complaint but accept they did call and left a voicemail.

I purchased new tires with Goodyear in March 2023. Due to the amount of driving that I do, I purchased the 3-year alignment program which cost $186 plus the road hazard protection which cost $120 (total of $306). I drove out of my way (50 miles from home) to get the tires at a location that was open on Sunday due to an emergency blow out. Now, it turns out that I cannot get the benefits of the program (mainly, tire alignment) unless I'm more than 25 miles away - I work near another Goodyear that falls within this limit. Further, I cannot get free tire rotation except at "Goodyear Service Centers." There are a few locations named "Goodyear Tire" nearer to my home, but they don't qualify (note: they are *not* independent tire shops that sell Goodyear tires, but are actually called Goodyears as per ****** Maps). On Goodyear.com, various "Tire and Service Network" shops also don't count - you have to go to a different website altogether to find the appropriate centers (Goodyearautoservice.com). It appears that they purposefully bait and switch by being unclear about their locations (service centers vs. tire/service network locations vs. authorized dealers), and being unclear about what services can be offered at which type of location. For instance, their tire warranty description (***********************************************************************************************************) has a link to a network directory but half of those are just tire dealers, and some of the ***************************** Network shops don't honor the services. There's no way to enforce it, either - Goodyear just says it's up to the individual stores. If your store is named a Goodyear store (the actual name, not a dealer), and/or you give them a "Tire and Service Network" designation, they should honor your services, especially when the customer paying a premium for their product. Otherwise Goodyear needs to be more transparent about their practices.

I made a phone appointment to get new tires. On 11/16/2023 I took my car in to get new tires. Car was there so also got a synthetic oil change, 1000 miles early. They called and said my car needed $500 of other parts. I said OK. At 4:00 I called and they said the car needed $2,000 of work, the $500 was a different car. I said then I did not want the tires. Told too late, could not put back on car. I owe for tires and oil change. Wonder about the guy that did NOT authorize the $500 of work they did. This is a 2008, 110,000 mile car. It is not worth $3,000 of work.
They claim they discounted the tires.
I am going to sell. Dealer says the tires are worth, at most, an extra $300. I want a refund for the remaining amount I paid. $276.76

      Business Response

      Date: 12/01/2023

      Good morning,

The customer was heavily discounted on his actual tire purchase and was provided with free installation along with free TPMS for a total in store savings of $392.46. The customer has also included the cost of his oil change which was provided as part of his refund amount request.

While we do understand that the customer has an older vehicle that he appears to be interested in selling by his complaint we will not be additionally refunding any further amounts as requested.

      Sincerely,

      Goodyear Consumer Relations

      Customer Answer

      Date: 12/04/2023

I am rejecting this response because:  I would not have spent one dime at this store on this work.  I was not told of the problems PRIOR to authorizing the work.  Therefor work was done WIHTOUT my permission.  I was given NO CHOICE but to accept the new tires and pay whatever the store asked to get my car.  My signature says "PAID IN PROTEST".  It is NOT an acceptance of the terms or the work.

Not sure where or how the "discount" is calculated.  I have a quote, prior to drop-off that indicates they only provided a $200 rebate on the tires.  Free install was part of THAT number, and was provided IN ADVANCE to get me to return.  fyi:  ******** ***** was already less than Goodyear for a similar tire.

If the merchant refuses to provide the requested refund in good faith my next step, per my Attorney, is small claims court.  We will ask for the ENTIRE amount, as work was NOT properly authorized, plus fees.  In good faith I have agreed to pay what the Dealer that will take my car has given as the increased value for new tires.  I expect to pay NOTHING more.

      Business Response

      Date: 12/11/2023

      Good morning,

As stated in the customers original complaint he phoned the location to have new tires placed on his vehicle and an oil change completed. No other work was done to the vehicle as he declined any additional suggested repair services. While we do understand the frustration caused by wanting to sell a used vehicle to a dealership it is not uncommon for those dealerships to pay below cost so when they resell, they make a profit.

The originally requested work was completed at the location and as stated in a prior response the customer was given steep discounts regarding the work that he requested. No further refunds will be issued.

      Kindest regards,

      Goodyear Consumer Relations Team

      Customer Answer

      Date: 12/11/2023

I am rejecting this response because:   Response is not true.   I called to have tires installed, got a cost, AND asked for Road Hazzard.  The store called and said they could not warrant the tires BECAUSE the car needed a $500 fix.  I authorized the $500 fix.  BUT - they had the wrong car.  My car needs a $2,000 fix.  That means I have tires with NO road hazard.  Tires that can not be aligned.  Tires that will wear out early.   I would not, and did not authorize tires get put on the car that needed all this work.  Part of what is offered is a 15 point check of the car.  They should never have installed the tires without telling me the CORRECT price of the other work that is required to properly maintain the new tires installed.

What a dealer offers is not relevant.  What the dealer says NEW tires add to the price of a car IS.   In reality I should not pay for this work as I did not ask for or agree to pay for new tires on a car that had other issues that affect the tires.  I, in GOOD FAITH, am willing to pay the added VALUE that new tires bring to a 16 year old car, with 110,000 miles, and in need of $2,000 of repairs.

Store blew it.  They quoted $500 in repairs.  I Authorized the $500 in repairs.   When I got the car they said I needed $2,000 in repairs.  Perhaps Goodyear wants to honor the ORIGINAL quote.  New tires, New Struts, road hazard, and warranted tires for the amount originally quoted, and authorized over the phone.
