I had one of of the tires of my car changed because of a flat wasn’t fixable! The bill they gave me after the payment was made included both the tire changing and tire flat repair! They included $25 for flat repair which I pointed out to them right away. They said it was a mistake and that they will return it to my credit card and I would see it in my statement within 24 hours.
It was been a week since the incident, and I don’t think they’ve made the refund. I called them but no answersBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: I don’t want these inept and dishonest people to waste my time! If they’re not going to right this wrong the way they said they would the first time, I’ll rather cut the loses and save my time. I’ve called the store, they never responded. I returned the call from the customer service, and they answered my call with condescending attitude telling me the same thing! They’re very dishonest by saying that I didn’t reply their voice mail!Initial Complaint

"Goodyear Tire Promotions" rejected my rebate on 4 eligible Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S tires.
PRIOR TO PURCHASE, I was told by a Goodyear Employee in an online chat that those 4 tires I wanted to purchase at ***** **** would qualify for the current Goodyear tire rebate offer promoted on the Goodyear website. I was told I would qualify for $75. I took a screenshot.
That confirmation made me decide to buy these Goodyear tires. However, what Goodyear doesn't tell you is there is a "secret list of participating dealers" that Goodyear DOES NOT SHOW ANYONE on their website until AFTER you have purchased the correct tires and then apply online for your rebate at the Goodyear website. I was lured into buying these rebate-eligible Goodyear tires by the promise of a post-purchase rebate advertisement on the Goodyear website. Then after the purchase and installation of the correct tires, my rebate claim was denied. I've since learned there are numerous online complaints alleging similar rebate denials to other consumers.
These are GOODYEAR TIRE REBATES, not ***** **** or any other tire dealer rebates. They are paid out in Goodyear Physical Visa Prepaid Cards or Goodyear Visa Virtual Cards. On the rebates page of the Goodyear website, the ad says "Buy tires. Get rebates." with no mention of specific retailers. It also lists the following 3 steps for collecting your Goodyear tire rebate.
1. Purchase rebate eligible tires.
2. Gather needed items to submit your rebate.
3. Redeem your rebate.
I completed these 3 steps and had my rebate denied TWICE by "Goodyear Tire Promotions" because "Your dealer is not on a list of participating dealers." What list?
Again, this secret list of dealers is not disclosed on the Goodyear website PRIOR TO the purchase of rebate-eligible Goodyear tires. This is deceptive advertising designed to trick consumers into buying Goodyear tires with the promise of a post-purchase rebate that is routinely denied, even after buying rebate-eligible tires.Business Response

Vehicle broke down on 8/29, brought vehicle to Goodyear they charged $1,571.17 to have car fixed, picked up car on 9/4 after getting multiple loans to help pay for car. On 9/5 car was smoking out of exhaust brought car back to Goodyear and they told me it was nothing to worry about I continued driving car then on 9/6 car broke down completely, had Goodyear get tow truck to bring my car back, they claimed if I was the one who damaged it they couldn’t pay for it but I only drove car 10 total miles in those two days and brought it back when smoking they told me not to worry and then my car broke down after that. After dropping off car it took three days to get in contact with them and they told me it was the engine and there was nothing they could do. Took my car to personal mechanic who fixed what they hadn’t done it want even the engine it was the converter that they didn’t see was broke, when I went back to Goodyear to confront them they said the person in charge didn’t even test drive my car they let it run in parking lot to test it. They gave me back a car that still wasn’t right and charged $1,571 for this, I almost got evicted because of this and still didn’t have a working car for a month. They told me I couldn’t get money back. I still have invoices of everythingCustomer Answer

On 10/10/2023, at 08:29am, I took my car to Goodyear for a Catalyst converter. My check engine light was on. I received my car back 10/10/23 at 05:29, drove home. The more I drove the car the louder it become. The fumes were awful and smell rotten. I let some friends check out the car to actually see if Goodyear had actually done what they charged me for. I had some friends to check out the car, they stated they don't see where the converter was changed. The check engine light was still on. My vehicle was returned back to Goodyear on 10/13/23, still making a lot of noise, bad smell. I spoke with the manager about my findings. He stated that the converter was changed on the front of the automobile, and it was new. "You have three converters, and your friends do not know what which one was changed" he says. Goodyear worked on the automobile and their findings where the converter was cracked. I did not ask which one because I am believing what the manager said previously about the front converter being changed. The work was done, the automobile drove ok, still a little smell. The next day the check engine light came back on again. I took my automobile to the Mitsubishi dealer to look at, something is not right with the engine light coming on after you say that you changed the converter. There diagnosis was again the catalyst converter. I told them that Goodyear changed my converter, so they checked both my converters. There findings are they change out the wrong one. Goodyear changed the bottom one out, the front one should have been replaced. Now mind you... the manager at Goodyear told me that the front converter was changed out, it was not, he lied. What in the world...well I told the manager what Mitsubishi findings were. He said that he was going to fix it but will not take my calls to find out the status of this situation. I filed a dispute with my credit card.Customer Answer

Goodyear manager called me on Monday 9/6/2023, stated that he had parts for the car.

I am rejecting this response because: I have been to your establishment one to many times. The issue is still there. This is not by any means a REFUSAL to go at another location but wise thinking. Who’s to say that’s going to another location be any better? The trust is broken. You get no more chances with my car. On 10/10/23 when I left your establishment my car sounded like a loud truck, smelled of fumes, awful noise. It was not like that when I bought it in. You were suppose to change the converter. My check engine light was on. I don’t know what and the world your technician did to my car. Moving forward, I eventually took the car to Heritage Mitsubishi.
Only to find that you changed the wrong converter. I was told that the top converter was changed before I went to Heritage by the way, from the Manager at the Goodyear. It wasn’t ,but you have the audacity to suggest that I go to another Goodyear. Unbelievable…
Don’t trust the business to do what you claim. I prefer a more reputable establishment. Thanks but no thanks.Business Response

She can have the part replaced at the dealer and bring the old part back to Goodyear location along with the invoice for new part from dealer and if the part we replaced is the part the dealer replaced we will refund customer for the part. I went in for 4 new tires. I made sure I had the wheel lock key for ******. It was with my spare (donut) tire. The installation took 3 hours. I saw the wheel lock key was in the back of the car. In the morning I went to put the wheel lock key back on top of the spare. The spare was missing. I called Goodyear and they told me they didn’t have it. I filed a police report but since I can’t prove they took the spare they cannot do anything.Business Response

I leased a 2022 ************* in June of 2022, that came with Goodyear Eagle Touring All Season/Performance tires 22". Had an oil change in August and was notified at less than ****** miles I will need new tires before heading into the Winter. Just a little over a year into a lease and I have to replace tires??? That is insantiy, not even 20k miles out of the tires is a complete scam. I will never buy Goodyear and will be informing Mopar and Jeep that they should not be putting Goodyear tires on a 90k+ SUV when they can't even make it 2 years into a lease or finance. Stay away at all cost, deffinetly not worth the $ they want.Business Response

On 10/24/23, we brought our Jaguar F Pace to this location for a tire change after seeing all the positive reviews. The person at the desk was nice and we dropped off our vehicle without a worry. Before I went inside, I checked the tire size on my driver and passenger side to verify the size and my rims were perfect. I got a call that it was done and I picked up my vehicle at closing. I paid around $1200. Upon inspection of my tires, I noticed unsightful gashings/curb rash on my rims. I immediately spoke to the person in charge and he said it looked like curb rash and that they couldn’t have done it. I disagreed because if you look carefully at the photos, even the tires have the same brown marks that you see on the rims. New tires should not have any discoloration. Old curb rash would be clear but the curb rash and tire markings both have the same brown color ! After explaining that to the person at the desk, he did say it was strange and that I could speak with the manager tomorrow. The rims also had a dusty white film to it and he proceeded wipe the wheels.
The following day, we went to speak with the Manager *** and he said that it looked that it was done after the tire was put on. When he went out to inspect the vehicle, he stated that there were no markings on the wheels (which his associate wiped off the previous night) so it wasn’t connected.
He then had us go all the way to rim repair shop to get a quote and bring it back to them. I felt like he did this because in his heart, it looks like they were most likely liable. When we came back, he stated that it was too much and they have not responded to our emails since. Please reach out to me so we can resolve this.Business Response

Hello good morning, we have forwarded the information to our property damage department, and they have started a damage claim for the customer the claim number is ****** and a representative by the name of ****** is working with the customer to get this issue resolved. the phone number to our property damage claims team is ************ and the claim number for the customer is ******, thank you and have a great day.Customer Answer
Date: 11/09/2023
I am rejecting this response because:
I contacted ******. He seemed a bit rude annd dismissive of our situation. He didn’t look into our case seriously as he stated the same thing he did last week that their machines are not responsible. I asked him why the marks are the same color on the tires as the rim which he had no answer for. I He asked for ******’s number stating he would contact her but he did not contact me back. I have not received any help from the company. They reply to the reviews on ****** stating they will help but they won’t. I showed the pictures of my rims to the manager at the ********** ** location and he could not confirm that they did not do the damage. He had us go to a rim shop to get a quote because he felt like they were liable. As soon as we came back with the quote, he then told us it was too much. The rim shop we went to also agreed due to the brown markings on NEW tires and rings that something had been done to the rims. Old curb rash is clear. New tires do not have brown markings on them. My rims and tires had both upon pickup meaning there is a correlation ! Please help resolve this or I will have to take further action. Word of mouth and a company’s reputation is worth as lot more than just fixing my rims !Business Response
Date: 11/10/2023
Our department viewed the pictures ***** sent in, it's clear that these rims have Prior curb damage along with weather damage, caused by time and miles. This vehicle is a 2017 (6 years old) with 104,885 miles on it when we installed the new tires.
If our tire machine would have caused damage we would be seeing a line around the bead area from the duck bill on our tire machine. This is not the case.
I'm sorry our customer thinks we caused the damage, but we did not.
Customer Answer
Date: 11/12/2023
I am rejecting this response because:
Curb damage can be caused before installation or after installation. The company has failed to explain how the same brown markings got on the tires and the rim right above each other. Not a coincidence.Initial Complaint

On the weekend of 9/30 I replaced my Inner and Outer tie rods, front lower control arms, and sway bar links. After finishing up I realized that my alignment was completely messed up to the point my wheels faced opposite directions so I deemed it needing a tow. The Goodyear on **** ********** road was the only shop able to get me an appointment in such short notice. I had let the store know the alignment is way out of line and definitely needs a tow and if they were able to fix it, they agreed they could so I towed it in. They get the car in 10/4 at 12:20pm and I mention that there is 1 bolt I couldn't quite get the leverage to torque down all the way and if they could help, the manager said it'd be a $60 charge to even look at the bolts and I gave him the green light because I wanted my work inspected. They don't work on it till the next day, and I get a call saying that all the work I did to the vehicle was faulty and was loose, which I know for a FACT everything besides 1 bolt was torqued to spec, as had I went around the vehicle at the end and double checked everything was torqued down with my torque wrench. With him telling me this I went to the shop to look at the work . The only part that was loose was the control arm bolt I was already aware of and had told them about, however the technicians assured me that everything was installed faulty and would need completely redone. I just said whatever and gave the green light as I need my car back. I'm at work for less than an hour I get another call from goodyear, this time they say every part I have doesn't even go to my vehicle and that it would cost $1,171.09 to get all new parts and instillation . I declined and got it towed to a different shop, they said all it needed was an alignment and had to fix parts installed backwards, finger tight bolts and new front ball joints as the others were damaged after being in their shop for 23 hours. Goodyear cost me $207.16 + $65 tow + $95 labor + $132.30 for ball joints.Business Response

This customer had his vehicle tow in to our **** store. The customer purchase part online and he installed the parts incorrectly and reach out to our store for help to get the parts installed the right way the took-3-4 hrs. on trying to figure out the issue. The ball joint the customer was referring to was damaged doing the process when the vehicle was being towed. Our store did not did any work on this customer vehicle. We offered the customer we can refund him back half of the inspection free $90 and also offer to refund him back 60.00 for ball joints that we did not install that is a total of 150.00. I am rejecting this response because: When I was changing my suspension parts I left 1 side untouched while I dismantled and rebuilt the opposite side to use as a reference point. Along with 1-2 ******* videos on each part to ensure I did the job correctly. It just doesn't add up how I've had the original parts in there for the entire 100k mile lifespan of that car, yet no mechanics ever told me the parts installed backwards, so if I swapped the parts in identical to the old parts how is it so off? The vehicle was stationary in the shop for 23 consecutive hours, and took 2 hours to "put back together" (managers words) but no part was touched? The ball joints weren't even the issue while the car was at their shop anyway, I was told that the kit I ordered wasn't even meant for my car and that the whole suspension would need replaced. This is backed up by phone records they keep and the receipt I was given that the manager kindly typed out. The suspension was all the correct parts and I was given the ultimatum by the manager of pay them almost $1200 or spend money on a tow to a different shop where they'd have to get all new suspension and pay almost the same price or waste another one of my weekends doing it myself. Which is why I'm confused how they think even charging me an inspection fee is a fair offer in general. I had to spend $65 on another tow to a completely different shop across town and wait around a week to even get my car back. Along with me having to spend $300 there, they even were kind enough to knock down the price some because I informed them of what Goodyear was doing to me. Which is why I reached out to the BBB because that is just a flat out scam what they were trying to do.Business Response

We try our best to help this customer this customer only spent 207.16 we offed to give a refund for 150.00 all of the other issue we are not responsible for any other issue he has going on.Customer Answer
Date: 11/02/2023
I am rejecting this response because: lying straight to my face telling me I need to spend $1200 on parts I don't need isn't exactly what I or anybody else look for in a business "trying their best." Once again even having me pay $207.16 for that inspection is nonsense, the inspection was nothing but faulty and a scam. First you guys say my parts are installed wrong, then its my parts aren't even correct and I need new ones. Then when I get it towed to an honest shop and need no new parts and contact the BBB, you guys retract and bend your statements, and completely avoid my main topics. Now my car came out of that shop in worse shape than it arrived making it your responsibility and your issue. I will pursue legal action if I need to and will be seeking my legal fees paid for aswell. As the cheaper and more obvious option I'd rather just come to a different settlement than $150 instead of going through with this headache but ultimately that is your choice. I'm not asking for every single cent I spent that week on my car paid for but there's no way in hell I'm agreeing to giving you guys a penny for the work done on my car.

BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
